ok trying to break this down - it works in ods30ae - it opens up, and then crashes at 80% loading when you run in NA doe it do this for any other install (Europe, Vietnam etc) does it doe this on a vanilla stock install? to the smarter heads than me, what causes pauses/crashes at 80%? @Menrva any ideas on what about ODS might make it less susceptive to a GPU issue?

to be clear, you mean regular SF2 is affected, but the ODS30AE mod is not? and when did the driver update? my 5080 card is on its way to teh shop, but the 1660ti in my laptop isnt having issues

all planes the same has to do with the loadout ini, the defaults for each mission set. if you change your layout in the drop down menu, then youll have to do the same for the others plane by plane as for lights, what aircraft are you having the issue with?

nice thing about xidax, life time warranty. reality on that is lifetime labor, about 5 years on parts. theyre even willing to help with screen replacement on the laptop i got in '15 from them, and gave to my daughter 4 years ago

or call it the curse of the threes.... my desktop is having issues where it crashes. or more specifically it goes blank screens then the fans speed up to a super high rate and i gotta chop power and kill it. talked to the folks that built it. was gonna get on with a tech rep this morning and swap wires. but then i lost the wifi card after another crash. and dont exactly have a 12FT CAT5 cable to run to the router this on top of the system not recognizing the cooler, even though it is cooling the cpu. yes, its a fancy water cooled deal with a monitor that should let me play what ever video i want rather than scrolling "TRYX" all day long. although that is the least major issue thankfully, the folks at xidax are taking it back to fix it up. also thankfully i have a laptop for backup (what im typing this on). but i'm without my main system for about a month. extra frustrating when i just bought it in May. third major VA disabilty bump, third system from them still love em to death, but this one has been the worst experience of hte three

given this is in SF2 forums go out on a limb and say no general rule of thumb is that gen 1 converts to gen 2 fairly easy, but gen 2 doesnt always convert backwards to gen 1
