This is an updated skinpack to reflect all USAF users of the SLUF after the bicentennial. Every unit tactical unit is included, as well as the 4450th TG that was a cover for the F-117A's at Tonopah. Most every scheme by every unit is in here; BUT for some units that had different tail stripes for different flights rather than squadrons(i.e Puerto Rico), i picked one color and went with that. INSTALLATION open the main folder, copy and paste into the mod folder of your choice and allow overwrites INCLUDED -4 diferent A-7D aircraft with one of the different paint schemes as a universal skin. changes were limited to making 4 aircraft from 2, and adjusting the data.ini for the new droptanks (A-7D_78TMF, A-7D80TMF, A-7D84TMF, A-7D_87TMF) -1 A-7K with 4 different skins. droptanks for this are set for green as that is when the bulk of these aircraft served was the SEA Wrap and Euro 1 era. -3 sets of droptanks to work with the different A-7D models - comprhensive decal set including 95 D model serials, 28 K model serials, and markings for all units that flew in the paint schemes represented - my expanded squadronlist.ini. helps to keep the tga's in order References Color and Markings #19: A-7 Corsair in USAF Service Google Images Thanks to / Credits The Mirage Factory for the original aircraft. macelena and Slartibartfast, whiteknight0664 and Muesli for checking this dummies work for errors Dave, point man for permissions on TMF works the greater CA community, for putting up with my dumb questions TK, for the game itself i hope you enjoy this little mod i put together Kevin Unruh aka daddyairplanes
  2. DEAR GOD. we are really rivet counting tree species!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  3. why yes. yes you are... as to the whole thing, i mentioned in my history class on the topic of nukes is its funny how this administration (and yes others too) get awfully righteous against countries that cant do much back to us on our soil. where this administration messes up at is its dealings with Russia, which it subscribes to the fantasy of it being a third world nation now. there are many things wrong with that country and its military. but it still, just like the US possesses enough nukes on its own to kill most of humanity. like i summed up to the class, you can have two folks in the neighborhood: one rich and one poor. but if they both have shotguns and are argueing, both are on kinda equal grounds and everyone else around is likely to catch alot of buckshot if the shooting starts.
  4. well there's enough beer in the screenie thread to get the cheesy vids out......
  5. the S didnt handle as well around the boat as the N did, esp on the Midways. thats why they only served on the Forrestal, Midway and Coral Sea. as it was, the Navy was trying to get the Tomcat into service before BEELINE came about, only really extended the life of the J Phantoms due to Carter era budget restrictions. i wonder if the slats were a Marine idea, as they used them the most (finallly retired in 92)
  6. hopefully the four in critical pull through. also hopefully the jackass gets charged as an adult.......
  7. yes, instruct your pilot on proper procedure for entering the cockpit. oooor check your Pilots folder to see if you have a fakepilot object in there. haven't used the C model as its at the outer edge of my preferred era of flying in a while, but i do believe that is the issue
  8. what info do you have on them serving post war? most i could find was some french and Italian into the 50's. defineatly couldn't find anything about ANG usage.. mark em up rather than generic and hell ya i'm interested
  9. by the same timescale Win7 will be good until the early 2020s. hell, you can still get it preloaded depending on the manufacturer.
  10. def a mental health issue, not even a go to war issue. this guy is gonna be the freakin poster child for the "dangerous veteran after multiple deployments." most of us with multiple tours dont want to kill ourselves and sure as hell dont want to kill alot of others. if the news is correct this jackass spent four months in Iraq. at the end. with no combat. a nut job yes, dangerous vet only in the loosest definition of the term. as for the Swiss and the Finns, i figured it was cause one group was filthy rich and the other too drunk to aim........
  11. coloring is giving me a conniption.......
  12. according to the news he was being evaluated for PTSD and TBI. however he was in Iraq for 4 months at the tag end, and was not listed as having been wounded. yes macelena, we have lost more to their own hand than to action. at it seems to me that most that have seen action, while having a hard time are less likely to off them selves than those that haven't gone at all.
  13. just downloaded Alexander Nevsky. the Soviets DID really punch up the soundtrack on it....

      Arise you Russian People!

  14. remember an article in an old Air & Space magazine about GIs in the Pacific who would load the ammo trays of P-47s up with bottles to chil them. near the end of the article, the author said they wondered what would happen if a Jap fighter ever showed while on a beer run......
  15. your skin work is far better than mine sir. i was just pointing out that by the time you're done i will have every tactical unit that flew F-4Ns and Ss covered via tga. but when they are ready i wouldnt mind taking a crack at them an ini dancing the decals from TMF and TW locations to new spots on yours. or if you'd rather have marking on skin, i can shoot you the tga and you can apply as a layer like in your E models. i just happen to like the decal route like a couple of other modders here
  16. well let me know if your interested. my N skinpack is set up for every tactical unit that flew it (only ones like VX-4 missing) and i am working the same for the S right now, tho thats is abit slower due to getting off on side tangents like the tankers. still very likely done before the summer at latest. as for the J, have plans on that to do post Vietnam, which is my area of interest. would be in the same vein, but there would be alot of Vietnam timeframe to work on. would need to redo the decal.ini s but otherwise could save alot of space and time just making universal skins and adding the decals.
  17. fake pilot anyone? and keep it simple to keep cost down. they would have had alot of 23mm ammo from the other types retired, keeping 24 fighters out of 251 delivered (and say for sake of arguement 140+ on hand at reunification) you can get engines for parts and overhaul. avionics and weapons would be needed to bring into NATO, but linking with GCA or even better the AWACS would be more like the previous system, overall cheaper in equipment and training and have a "low emmission" intercept system than putting in a new radar that need to be guided by GCA into the area anyhow.
  18. just be there for her when she gets back. thats the best a husband can do. and tell her to take all the firing pins with in case you get extra "sunny" on her return....
  19. good to see you posting in the screenies thread again Muesli. being your Dutch, could you tell me what font they use on you guys' KDC-10s? that and need that Thunderstreak SEA skin for a future ANG project
  20. how far along and do ya need decals for it? everything say post Vietnam.........
  21. when did 1. you first download a version of SF, 2. what version, and 3. how long ago did the stuttering start?
  22. one of two the US should have gotten in the last 30 years. the other being the F-23.....
  23. ah but that brings us back to the arguement...... why buy stock (and you know you'd have to pay) when you have it here. and the slotted stabs was a final fix TK made, as ALL naval Phantoms were given the slotted stabs after teh Ja came out with them and the Navy figured out how they improved the handling esp around the boat...
  24. can you get your hands on the squadron signal book, in hard copy or digits?
