didnt mean to crap on your advice, going with a known working pit is solid. was just pointing out that there are pits for that era of BUFF i point to mine because i dont remember exactly where they came from, and my works generaly have pits. unless removed like they were for ODS30AE it was one of the first personal changes i made, adding the pits back in for single missions

IF youre gonna load a pit however..... use one of the ones from my B-52D Pacer Plank or B-52F mods no EVS screens or other Modern cockpit toys like the suggested mod above and mine are set for the TW stock B-52 airframe, while the modern ones are set for wpnssgt's third part models.

check if the B-52s in that install have cockpits many mega installs (like this or ODS30AE) leave the large aircraft (including the B-52) non flyable by removing the cockpit. they are still available in teh campaign to escort or intercept, just not for you to fly

does it crash on the game load screen (one that says SF2 Europe, or SF2 North Atlantic etc) or the mission load screen (TK's old stock Phantom on the runway) if you can get past the initial load up, check out which graphics the game is using in the options not much else i can advise. been running SF2 since Win10 was offered as public beta, only had isues once or twice and that was before Win10 was officially released. only Win11 issues i had were when i updated a native Win10 system. and even then it was mostly that i couldnt run more than 3 missions in a row
