  1. it will only offend those who suffer premature detonation
  2. read this thread after a lil fun last night. tho not a2a, SRAMs are also great for SEAD!
  3. good. tho i wouldn't have announced it until the predator had him in the crosshairs
  4. hmmm if they demonstrate hostile intent(say carrying what looks like weapons around US forces) then i'm pretty sure we dont have to wait for them to fire first to engage. that wait to be fired upon crap only applies in top gun. as for the journalists...... why are they crying when a vbied or mortar takes out some press? i recall hearing more about how heroic daniel pearl was after he was beheaded than how evil the douches that cut his head off were. thank you media
  5. we americans lose more there but the brits are losing more per the amount over there. rest in peace mate.
  6. well damn. not so worried about the B-47. is anyone working on the Block 50/52 Vipers for Gen 2? the leaks in that one are on the pivot points for the stabs and are only visible because of the dark paint. i can live with that for now but im afraid the Stratojet will hafta go
  7. early S works just fine in gen 2. as for my probs with the N, it don't help that i only had WOE in gen 1 tho no i know why i have the probs with it. some more on r/l Phantoms.. the leading edge flaps inboard were fixed after Project BEELINE. outboard should still work. BEELINE converted B's into N's, J's into S's(for Slats!)
  8. in regards to your J model all i did was to take the J out of SF2V , add a skin from the download section, and tweak the data ini so it would take brit as well as usn weapons. in real life they were the exact same except for wiring to accept Skyflash and the paint job. the Brit Aircrews even had to use USN flying gear until a year before the J's were retired. as for the N i havent gotten that to work yet in mine.
  9. noticed this little quirk in the B-47 from column 5's site. stays the same wherever you move external view. also have this now with my Block 52 Viper that i converted over in afghanistan. current game is patched to Dec on my laptop and Feb on desktop but no diff in results. whats up here?
  10. http://forum.combatace.com/files/file/10711-strike-at-dong-hoi/ for starters. you can look deeper in that d/l section for more
  11. so is this what the stalker looks like? (i gotta stop coming here while the kids are watchin movies)
  12. had something tag on with an mp3 file this afternoon. had to do the complete nuclear system restore... save nothing on HD. but............ i backed up the system files and my mod folders this weekend. only thing i lost in game was Veltros C-17 and a belgian skin for the Hunter F6. heres to learning the eay way
  13. Chuck Norris fought Bruce Lee all freakin nite in their hotel hallway. nuff said.
  14. happy bday dave
  15. its the new super glue commercial!
  16. as the old sayin goes better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.
  17. well i already have the tgas placed in my folder. my fix to be done on staff duty this sunday is to place the insignia on the skin rather than have it as a decal. that should free up the room for my sqn and wing badges. updates on progress on monday
  18. sure enough gents there are already 2 decals on the fuselage_p mesh. i can take the LV insignia and apply it right to the skin freeing up another spot for my badges. as for the numbering sequence the patches are set up for the in game sequence of units (042= 334TFS, 4TFW) thanks for the help guys
  19. the wing side, decal level 1 the squadron side, decal level 1 shots with decal level set to 0. new tgas shouldn't be the issue as i made the tailcodes for moody/ 347th tfw. what am i missing?
  20. im still working on a Euro 1 skin for the Gen 2 Phantoms using a global decal folder instead of putting the squadrons markings right on the skin. tailcodes are coming along nicely but when i try to add wing/ squadron badges ala the EF-4C i either get no shows or the squadron shows but the fuselage goes white. [Decal022] MeshName=fuselage_P DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=F4BLACK/D/wing Position=4.00,-0.0 Rotation=0.0 Scale=0.70 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal023] MeshName=fuselage_P DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=F4BLACK/D/sqn Position=4.00,-0.0 Rotation=0.0 Scale=0.70 DecalMaxLOD=3 this has the decals no showing if i change the decal level to 1 or 2 the fuselage goes white. the decals are in a folder as named in the ini and named for the unit (sqn042.tga, sqn043.tga etc). the skin im using is the stock USAF Green skin from WOE but with chaff, flare and few other pieces cut and pasted from SF2E's skin so they dont show white in game. most of sqn and wing tgas in my decal folder for this start life as png's from Wiki before being sized and converted in GIMP. what am i missing here
  21. sorry as for adding carriers here is the link to the post Wrench sent me. it was for SF2E but you should be able to do it up for SF2 easy enough scrool all the way to the bottom http://forum.combatace.com/topic/52106-davehelp/page__p__379309&?do=findComment&comment=379309 as for FG1s they are in the british Phantom super pack released a month or so ago http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10640 the Knowledge base will tell you how to convert planes or ground objects over its so easy i can do it i had to post about carriers because the accompanying photos of ini edits are missing. i hope that helps you @ spinners Sweet skin!
  22. ok no known desert skin for RAF Phantoms. The RAF would not have flown off the ARK Royal but in 72 the Ark was still flying FG1's in Navy Blue. as for placing the carrier i got some help from Wrench on that will shoot you a link to the post at lunch.
  23. can't trust finance ever. things like that are why i still get paid once a month. too damn likely if i change it i'll get no pay due for a few months!
