"For these reasons, I don't see religion, or society, or guns as the problem. Faulty human mental wiring is the problem. We need to detect it and act on it better than we ever have before." the main reason peoples wiring can be screwed up is because of upbringing and environment. thew reason you see so many wackos in the middle east has nothing to do with poverty and everything to do with how their culture is raising them. people raised on hate and excuses and with a moral compass pointing away from what we in the west are the problem. the vast majority of the people causing problems are not "insane" or "defective" they are acting the way they are being brought up. people are being raised with morals that are completely opposed to what we consider moral. you can argue that all morals are only moral in the culture they are invented in but since i'm living in the west i'm siding with the people who in general value life and don't regularly use civilians as targets or shields. we see this sort of thing all the time. the Nazis in Germany and the masses they controlled were not all insane, the younger ones accepted the hate and evil as a moral position because that was the environment and culture they were raised in .

it's not the religion it's the culture, the centuries old mindsets in the 21st century that are the issue and in many ways religion is the issue. if someone is backwards and ignorant they are far more likely to believe the more violent aspects of religion. thats why the crusades happened a thousand years ago, while most of the west has progressed into the 20th and 21st century the middle east is still firmly in a hundreds of year old mindset. the only reason they are relevant is they were thrust into modernity because oil was discovered under their hovels.there are about a billion muslims world wide about 100-200 million are radical or support the radicals about 500-700 million are "moderate" and the rest are westernized and assimilated enough to be as modern as most westerners. the problem that arises is that the "moderates" are onl;y moderate in comparison to THEIR radicals and would be considered close mined backwards bigots in the west.

"Breivik was a Christian. So was McVeigh. So were shitloads of mass-shooters in the US of A. They may be fewer in numbers, but evil white losers exist as well." evil comes in all colors and backgrounds but some cultures are fostering the hate on larger scales than others. evil of all kinds will rear it's head everywhere and for many reasons but it's simply idiotic to try to draw some comparison to the extremely rare case of christian terrorism or the criminal shootings of people to the current problems with Islamic terrorism. there are hate groups in the US of course they number in the thousands....the average Muslim, which number around 600-800 million hold views on par with the most radical "Christians" in this country. the Westboro Baptist church idiots...who number a few dozen.......so yes there is evil everywhere but the numbers and motives are far far skewed towards Islamic extremest to an order of magnitude. When you have to go back centuries to find something close, like the inquisition or the crusades, then you have already proved my point. also to put into perspective ISIS in a good year kills and tortures more people than centuries worth of Spanish Inquisition victims.

there is a difference between the leadership and the people. the Palestinian leaders, both religious and political are thoroughly evil. the people are just pawns. most are probably good people just trying to eek out a life but with the lies they are fed by their leaders and the manipulation by their leaders and the greater Islamic forces as a weapon against the Jews their lives are a living hell. And YES THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE between accidentally killing civilians while attacking legitimate military targets and intentionally targeting them. an order of magnitude in difference.of course there are cases where Israeli soldiers have crossed the line and that is very wrong. the difference between The Israeli side and the Palestinian side is that when Israeli soldiers cross that line there are almost always investigations and usually punishments while on the other side murderers and rapists are held up as heroes and martyrs to the cause.there are a few legitimate grips with some minor land grabs but those could have been resolved years ago if the Palestinians had been able to negotiate in good faith and made it through a week or two without attacking civilians. Simply put there will never be peace until the Palestinian side wants it. the leaders are determined to let hate and racism rule their judgement and are almost never willing to concede anything and almost never willing to put peace above violence. It is telling that they treat their own people almost as abominably as they do the Israelis. at best the leadership in Gaza and the West bank are intolerant despotic and cruel, dealing out death and torture to anyone they find undesirable or not on board with the cause. go see what happens to women,go see what they do to homosexuals,go see what they do to anyone even remotely suspected of "collaboration". if these "leaders" were any people other than Palestinian there would be UN resolutions and sanctions against them but they are protected by the Muslim voting block and the nations that still harbor some anti-Semitic demons. once again I'll state clearly that the average Palestinian is not some evil animal just a pawn being used by their leaders ,brainwashed from childhood and kept in ignorance so that the resulting hatred can be used by Hamas and the PA as they see fit.I feel for them in my heart. ,they have been put into a horrible position and their suffering is real. the issue is that the vast majority of their suffering is because of the evils and/or failure of their leaders and the greater Muslim world leaders.the sad fact is that when Israel was created and the Arabs attack what was at the time a few hundred thousand Syrians and Jordanians, because that is what they considered themselves, moved from the war zone to other parts of the countries they considered themselves to be a part of to sit out the war. when it went against them they suddenly became "Palestinians and now are a group of millions "without a home" mainly because the Arab nations around them refuse to assimilate them. its an interesting side note that the UN treats the Palestinian "refugees" in a manner wholly different than any other refugee on earth. for some reason they have never tried to settle them anywhere, which is the aim of any refugee program, and strangely their children instead of being citizens of their host nations are somehow given refugee status too. so now instead of their being less refugees their is more....that in and of itself is insane and shows that these people are being used as tools rather than trying to be helped.

no one would ever say that Israel is perfect but there are clearly defined good and bad guys here. on one side you have a free nation that has championed freedom and equality and for the most part has been the side that has made concessions for peace and on the other you have a repressive group that has at almost every turn chosen to embrace hate rather then peace. the Palestinians as a policy attack and target civilians with rockets and on an almost daily basis assault, rapes and murders bu terrorists who infiltrate the nation by sea or in tunnels. on the Israeli side they spend millions to help refugees and send experts around the globe to help fight famine,to save refugees and on the Palestinian side they steal aid money that should be feeding their people and they put it in Swiss bank accounts or spend it on weapons. in Israel everyone gets equal chances at education and medical care,Arabs can join the government and the army,in the PA if you speak out against the leaders you are imprisoned or killed,if you are a homosexual you are attacked, tortured or killed. there is no freedom to express yourself, there is nothing but the state education system that indoctrinates children from the cradle with anti-Semitic TV shows and school curriculum that is designed to foster hate of the Jews and of Israel. Hamas used thousands of tons of donated concrete that was to be used to rebuild schools hospitals and homes to build tunnels into Israel to better infiltrate attack groups......on one side you have Israel that will in defense of their nation will go to the most unprecedented lengths to avoid civilian casualties when they attack the rocket launching sites and bases where weapons of terror are stored.on the Palestinian side they intention have used schools, private homes and hospitals as weapons depots and have intentional launched their attacks from civilian neighborhoods so that the can reap the 2 fold benefit of making it harder for Israel to defend itself and then to reap the propaganda benefit of intentionally putting their civilians into harms way to use their bodies as w weapon of propaganda.when you use children and women as shields, sent them unknowingly to their deaths with bombs or to throw rocks at civilians you can never claim the high ground morally. Israel has made mistakes, some brutal but from a moral standpoint there is ZERO comparison with a group, the Israelis, who in DEFENSE , may accidentally kill civilians and on the other, the Palestinians, who intentionally target civilians, use them as shields and steal from their own civilians the very aid that they need. Yasser Arafat died with a fortune of hundreds of millions of dollars, his family lives like royalty and yet the Palestinian people like in camps and under constant abuse by their own leaders....the UN has treated the Palestinians differently that any other refugees and has never addressed the fact that in almost every Arab nation the Palestinians are treated like second class citizens. they are not allowed to become citizens in these Arab nations, they are not allowed to own property and in many education is barred to them. the other Arab nations that by all rights should have long ago absorbed these refugees has used them as a weapon against Israel by allowing them to suffer so that that very suffering can be exploited to sway the ignorant masses in the world...

simply beautiful. thank you
-
that is pretty damn cool... looks great

and yet college kids around this nation fail to acknowledge this.......so sad. I wish the world would be more supportive of the only free nation in the region who is under constant threat by some of the most racist, homophobic and misogynist people on earth.....I wish that Palestinians loved life as much as they love death......maybe one day things will change and ALL the innocents on both sides can just live in peace .

as you said RL comes first so no reason to say sorry. thanks for the update and good luck in the new place.

you know how it goes....when the left wins a vote they say...it's democracy live with it when they lose they say the margin was not great enough....we need to compromise. lol I say to those who lost grow up and deal with it at this point. the calls for another vote and all the predictions of dire consequences are the same hot air we always hear. things always get a little crazy anytime there is some change then those with the ability to put on the big boy pants get to work and things move forward. Problem is today the left, and sometimes the right, would rather skip the whole moving forward part and just sit and cry so something that would be a small setback turns into a quagmire of whining and crying and in the end nothing moves forward.....

lol yeah ok........

one aircraft that I have been hoping for for a long time. looks beautiful.

I think we can all agree there is a fringe element on both the political left and the political right that is susceptible to conspiracy nonsense. it's interesting just how much overlap there can be when it comes to this nuttery between groups that otherwise have little in common
-
you sure it wasn't a government conspiracy? i really think Tappedops needs to step away from the computer and take a breath. maybe a walk too. clear his head and come back to reality refreshed and mostly sane.

hahahahahahaha I'd love to see it...I'm sure it's as real as a unicorn.

i understand that their foray into SF wasn't as profitable as they would have liked but they made many promises and people bought their stuff then they vanished when things became too much work for them. I would have understood them coming out and saying they were discontinuing support for their SF products ,that happens all the time, but to say oh yeah we plan on fixing X issue and supporting "Y" product and then just going dark was a total dick move. I'm sure there were many people who would have not bought some things had they known that the assurances they were getting were worthless. I had absolutely no issues in buying their products knowing up front they were for SF1 and had issues in SF2 but when you hear from the company on this forum saying that they plan on fixing those issues and then you buy the product you have a legitimate grip.

this is great news. both that you are ok and that you might be finishing this project.
