Nice, thanks!

Gotcha. Hope it works out. Is the Crimea/South Ukraine/Russian coast going to be a large map? It looks really compressed by the squares and such.
-
Usually when you do NavalMap=TRUE you go up against an enemy CVBG and the murderous air cover that's associated with it. I mean an option to have it works but I'd disable that on my end.

No worries as we're finding out that the map is borked in some ways more than one apparently. I mean I've flown over it but I didn't land anywhere or tried what you did. And one thing I noticed was that if I saved a mission where I took off from an airfield going to the carrier, and then when I opened up the file again it showed me taking off from the carrier and all the waypoints returning back to the carrier. There's some stuff going on that hopefully people can fix.

Came up with this for use on the Growler if you want the pylons to show but don't want to load them. SImply drop in your Objects/Weapons/ folder and select "Invisible ASM" and you'll have them to show pylons. InvisibleASM.7z

It's just not the F-14. Here are shots from me spawning my Growler and had the same issue you had at Reykjavik airfield, so the map is glitched when you want to take off and land the way Wizard43 takes off:
-
I'll have to try that and see what happens.
-
I usually disable NavalMap=TRUE because I don't like just shooting at CVBGs with a lot of air cover. And I have a free flight mission where I can check things or just fly over the terrain with no enemy.

Nice video...
-
It's definitely a wingman issue as I on a whim took off from all friendly airfields and nothing spectacular happened, spawned as supposed to be on all of them in the F-14.
-
You go to the top of the page and click on Downloads and go to File Categories. Once you go there click on Strike Fighters 2 and go to Add on aircraft, then 4th Gen and then US Origin and then F-18 and just scroll until you see it.
-
Okay. I can't help you as I'm not associated with Third Wire but it's good to know where it happens. And odd that it only happens with the F-14
-
The more the merrier I say, I'd be interested for a target at least.
-
I never heard of the issue myself, and this is the first of hearing it. I think people are used to taking off from the carrier so there isn't any concern. What airfield are you having this problem at?
-
I had to look up how the US Navy got it's hands on one, interesting.
-
It doesn't matter to me actually, but the USS Pegasus looks interesting.

Did some research on the AESA APG-79 and pretty much the only information that came out was that the radar has a max range of 80 miles. This is a bit different from what I thought and have done some modifications for the various aircraft. Block I aircraft now have these stats: [RadarData] AvailableModes=SEARCH,TWS,STT,ACM,GM,TV RangeUnit=NM RangeSetting[1]=5 RangeSetting[2]=10 RangeSetting[3]=20 RangeSetting[4]=40 RangeSetting[5]=80 RadarPosition= MaxElevationAngle=60 MinElevationAngle=-60 MaxAzimuthAngle=60 MinAltitude=20.0 BoresightElevation=0.0 BoresightAzimuth=0.0 ACMMaxPitchAngle=60.0 MinReturn=0.01 MinimumSpeed=25.72 SearchRange=80 SearchStrength=100 TrackRange=80 TrackStrength=100 TWSUpdateTime=0.01 AcquisitionSymbolSpeed=1.0 AcquisitionResetPosX=0.6 AcquisitionResetPosY=0.50 AcquisitionResetTime=2.0 DisplayLimitLeft=29 DisplayLimitRight=226 DisplayLimitTop=46O DisplayLimitBottom=226 Open up the respective AVIONICS.INI and replace it with this for Block I aircraft only. As for the Block II aircraft I gave a little enhancement in range and use this for the Block II aircraft and the EA-18G, and RAAF version to take advantage of the included AIM-120D missiles (It's a "treat"" or just something that may be real or not, I only have access to so much information, and that's mainly Wikipedia and so on: [RadarData] AvailableModes=SEARCH,TWS,STT,ACM,GM,TV RangeUnit=NM RangeSetting[1]=5 RangeSetting[2]=10 RangeSetting[3]=20 RangeSetting[4]=40 RangeSetting[5]=80 RangeSetting[6]=100 RadarPosition= MaxElevationAngle=60 MinElevationAngle=-60 MaxAzimuthAngle=60 MinAltitude=20.0 BoresightElevation=-5.5 BoresightAzimuth=0.0 ACMMaxPitchAngle=47.0 MinReturn=0.01 MinimumSpeed=25.72 SearchRange=100 SearchStrength=170 TrackRange=100 TrackStrength=150 TWSUpdateTime=0.01 AcquisitionSymbolSpeed=2.0 AcquisitionResetPosX=0.6 AcquisitionResetPosY=0.50 AcquisitionResetTime=2.0 DisplayLimitLeft=29 DisplayLimitRight=226 DisplayLimitTop=46 DisplayLimitBottom=226 That's pretty much it. The next upload will have the adjusted radars included.

Just so you know you can post this in the Screen Shots portion of the Strike Fighters 2 area: https://combatace.com/forums/forum/318-thirdwire-strike-fighters-2-series-screen-shots/ Nice shot though

Problems with SF2 (Windows 11 and black screen)
Flanker562 replied to Eagle114th's topic in General Discussion
I see, as I have issues too with not letting it create an options.ini or version.ini. I used to back them up with my backups and now I don't do that every time I have to reinstall the mods. -
