  1. Everyone needs a rest eventually - hopefully you will gain the enthusiasm after the time off
  2. PM Crusader - cant think of anyone else who cares about F-15s
  3. From Facebook: Third Wire Steven, our games are not serious sims. Erwin, without giving too much away, there will be free versions (ad-supported), and paid versions will only be few bucks anyway (normal price for phone games). This will be a cut down game only - even wonder if you will get a pit - and yes my iPhone wouldn't last a PC SF2 mission.
  4. In a 2 man operation its got to affect it - instead of having FE2 (not worked on) and SF2 Engines on Windows only - he now has to deal with issues relating to Linux, ios and Win 8 and each of these will have a vastly cut down and different version of the SF2 engine - which will need their own bug fixes etc. And like with FE2 if the mobile apps make money then SF2 on the PC likely wont be developed - which might be a good thing for modders.
  5. interesting - wonder if its like the the old afterburner arcade game - no scope for many controls - you just blow up as many comms buildings as possible. Not for me...........
  6. Well um......what do you suggest a scaled up super A-10 the size of a Jumbo?
  7. haha - good to see a pro at work
  8. Whys that? - sorry never ejected from the F-14
  9. Happy Birthday Carlo
  10. Are you running the weapon editor from the desktop?
  11. Which means absolutely nothing without knowing the weapons and conditions involved. In this contest with an F-16AM it was probably the best pilot:
  12. Daniel Craig seems is a bit more realistic - even looks like the real James Bond
  13. Looking good! Saw the Dark Knight Rises last night - totally recommended!! btw you cant kill James Bond
  14. Not really sure you can tell anything from airshows and videos regarding actual combat performance. If this was a 1 on 1 play fight with guns then its anyones game - the Typhoon has been seen in the HUD of other jets regarding this.
  15. Pretty good! http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=Ki86x1WKPmE&feature=colike
  16. The James bond bit with the Queen jumping out of the Helicopter was my fave part - Also like the first Industrial sketch with Isambard Kingdom Brunel - lets hope its a good games for all involved.
  17. Probably because the Confederate forces flag has had a half dressed Daisy Duke in front of it since the 70s.
  18. That MiG-29A above looks detailed Just some shots of SF2V

  21. - Just typical it had to be North Korea - I mean what a bunch of tits we look - I bet someone just googled flag for Korea!
  22. In that case it needs to be good "Out Of the Box" and not reliant on Modders to have to add all the missing things and fix the terrains and actually add more than 3 targets and target locations to campaigns.
  23. I got the entire YAP 1 and the first YAP2 set - YAP1 was great at the time - really changed the game. You basically run the custom missions (the campaigns wont work) only - but they have good missions and challenges - including Helicopters - remember flying the Huey and others for missions - One you had to land in a compound in Saigon and drop some troops off. The AAA and small arms were deadly and there is lots of it. I think they had to stop at WOV 2008 because in SF2 TK removed some of the things like Ramp starts and ability to A-A refuel Cons WOV is single core only - and really best in Win XP. Nice graphical enhancements were introduced in YAP2 but I have to turn the settings right down even with the HDR mod on an i7 for it to run okay in WIn 7 64. Terrain still based on Dueces low res tiles from about 2004 Misses a lot of the changes SF2 brought like proper RWRs and better pits. The SF2V expansion pack is what you need really - it can be used as a great basis because it has the AAA levels similar to YAP (ie what SF2V should have out of the box!!) - but you can run campaigns. Also a lot of target and objects have been placed on the terrain - with a lot of work. I use this as a basis for my only Vietnam install and have changed the campaigns to work with my existing plane set and mods. At Apr 2012 level which I might leave it at I can run single missions from populated carriers as well. Porting Yap to SF2 If you have the time (a lot of time) - some of the missions wont work, some models can be used - but will need the SF2 changes outlined in the knowledgebase - and A/C will need FM changes, carriers need NA changes if running post NA install.
  24. It is harder with much more to learn - and you are also not taking into consideration that in DCS each jet will be different, with different radar modes that will have to be learnt for each jet with different switches to press etc - totally unlike SF2 where one very easy procedure fits all.
