Yes some Falcon knowledge is useful - however there are so many differences in the A-10 - I mean you would think not having a Radar would mean it was less complex - but no - there is a lot to learn from scratch if you wish and quite a bit to get used to regarding the avionics and weapons profiles. The training missions are very good - and you need to run through them quite a few times definitely. The seat height adjustment - might be going too far. If they can come up with a good SEA terrain and the Vietnam collection (albeit lighter on switchology)then it might be one for the future.

Been flying without visual cues for years - with a TiR an hi res monitor its fine.

I stick Win 7 on 4 to 5 year old dual cores at work - far more stable and quicker in performance than XP - old Intel boards support it as well.

This is what Stary has been asking for - I would also like to see the terrain files opened up myself - I can forgive putting out a rubbish terrain if it can be improved upon (this has always been the compromise) - and nothing to steal if its ancient technology as some have stated.

Well whatever the case - he actually got a sim/game out and has made it a viable business for over 10 years - DCS are also moving to a similar business model - thats more then most others can say. What other indie devs are we talking about? Would say its more a case of him not wanting to make changes to the sim - not to speculate on whether its just agenda driven or not. I wouldn't hold your breath for the DSU-15/B DLC though...........

Not sure - I would think most would probably only go to the effort of finding and registering for the forums if there was a problem. Now with Facebook etc even less will find it.

Totally agree - the business model is GAME because that's where the money is - despite TK being a devout aviation enthusiast he has to put food on the table at the end of the day so no problem. DCS seems like the alternative for the hard core - but for others maybe there is no alternative - unless you time freeze your SF2 at a certain patch but then newer drivers dont work etc. Maybe he should stop SF2 where it is and just dev the mobile game. The mobile games can be SF3 which I would gather is going to be Windows 8 so will run on tablets and PCs.

Respect the decision Storm - I rarely use SF2 at the moment - and when I do its because of the choice of Jets and era you currently don't find elsewhere. SF2NA has some great new things - but I dont like the way SF2 is being infected by these changes to turn into more of a game. TK has even written that features from the mobile game will later be incorporated into SF2 - so well I dread to think really - assume it will be like a free web site game in the end.........
