  1. Noooo
  2. Can you provide a link to exactly what you have downloaded? - I dont think it will work in WOE without changes.
  3. So is that the 2008 version? The falklands mod was for a 2006 version of SF1 from what i remember - was there a 2008 update? and what does the read me say because it may need a lot of editing to get it working properly in WOE? To rule out Windows issues, make sure the game folder is not in program files, and run it as administrator - also check this which will apply to Win 7 too : http://combatace.com/topic/34221-running-any-thirdwire-sim-in-windows-vista-by-usafmtl-column5-jtin/ If it still crashes after checking this out its a older file that you have added in to the game causing the crash....somewhere
  4. F-100 combat units in Vietnam is a coming soon  http://www.ospreypublishing.com/store/F-100-Super-Sabre-Units-of-the-Vietnam-War_9781849084468
  5. Some bloke who got fined for not riding in the bike lane decided to make a video and point to the New York authorities:
  6. Are the keys it uses the same as any WOV needs in game?
  7. go to C:.....\SF\Objects\Aircraft\Mig-21...or whatever check there is a cockpit folder in the MiGs folder open up MiG-21xx.ini and check it has these lines (but for the MiG-21) [AircraftData] ..... AircraftDataFile=MIG-29A_data.ini CockpitDataFile=MiG-29A_cockpit.ini <-------------------- HangarScreen=Mig-29A_Hangar.bmp LoadingScreen=Mig-29A_loading.bmp LoadoutImage=Mig-29a_LOADOUT.bmp LoadoutFile=MIG-29_loadout.ini AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll AvionicsDataFilename=MiG-29A_Avionics.ini <------------
  8. I doubt there are any for WOE although you could search the download section - you might be able to get something to work in it but it would probably take a lot of work on your behalf. Suggest you get WOV - dirt cheap at TWs store now - if you have Vista / 7 with a multicore CPU though you need to go SF2V because it will run a lot better.
  9. What version of Windows are you running? What version of SF are you running?
  10. I have no idea where n shire or lincolnshire may be Pah - check out the 633 Squadron version:
  11. Wasn't sure if this was still going ahead: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-13727908 Dam Busters dog renamed for movie remake The black Labrador was run over and killed during the planning of the raids Peter Jackson to film Dam Busters The Dam Busters' dog will be renamed for a new version of the classic war movie, it has emerged. Stephen Fry, who is writing the film's screenplay, said there was "no question in America that you could ever have a dog called the N-word". In the remake, the dog will be called "Digger" instead of "Nigger". The black Labrador was the mascot for RAF 617 squadron, which during World War II destroyed dams in Germany with Barnes Wallis's famous bouncing bomb. Owned by the squadron's wing commander, Guy Gibson, the animal was run over and killed during the planning of the Dambuster raids, and was buried at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire - from where the operation was launched. Stephen Fry told BBC Radio 5 Live: "It's no good saying that it is the Latin word for black or that it didn't have the meaning that it does now - you just can't go back, which is unfortunate. "You can go to RAF Scampton and see the dog's grave and there he is with his name, and it's an important part of the film. "The name of the dog was a code word to show that the dam had been successfully breached. "In the film, you're constantly hearing 'N-word, N-word, N-word, hurray' and Barnes Wallis is punching the air. But obviously that's not going to happen now. "So Digger seems OK, I reckon." Phil Bonner, from Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, a privately run Bomber Command museum, said: "I think for the Second World War generation that word was acceptable - but with my daughters growing up in Lincolnshire - they have been taught that the word is unacceptable now. "The film is not about the dog - my big concern would be if they watered down what the Dam Busters had achieved." The 1955 film, which starred Sir Michael Redgrave and Richard Todd, told the story of Barnes Wallis' struggle to develop the bomb and the subsequent raids on Nazi Germany - codenamed Operation Chastise. The remake is being produced by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.
  12. Ahh dont worry - always money for war it seems they will find some somewhere - and probably more as they are taking a UN sanctions trip against Syria now. End of July is still quite a long time - especially for those old airframes! Isnt there loads of other NATO countries willing to step in........
  13. change your F-4 USAF loadout.inis to accurate loadouts - you may need to change the data.ini to put single pods in the front sparrow bay. WOV only has the old QRC-160-2 (ALQ-71) from what I remember - that was obsolete in about 1967. There is an ECM Vietnam pack of high quality that has 3 ALQ-71 versions, 4 ALQ-87 versions and a couple of ALQ-101 versions. Even a noise jamming level of about 65 - you get hit but its 20% instead of 90% - at high level with the RHAW scope flashing like mad from all around and a total loss of SA you are dead without support. The MiGs show up you have to get them - but the SAMs dont stop! In SF2V TK has put in extra ECM pods and correct loadouts by default, and also made the SAM performance more survivable.
  14. Not bad...show off Any issues running SF2?
  15. fly close to the B-52s :) another option for you is to increase the jamming pod power. One Buff crew member counted about 30 SAMs launch in one mission I have read - in LBII they were mostly launched unguided due to jamming and SEAD AFAIK - otherwise if they were like the WOV (SA-2Fs) I dont think they could have flown over it at high level!
  16. Not easy to explain - which is why I have included a chart and various bits in the USAF skin set. Go into the Tactical reference in the sim - then choose an F-16 model. On the right hand side where the 3D model appears you will see little arrows. You will find on each F-16 model in there you can use the arrows to go through each of the different skins associated with the particular model. These skins are used in a campaign - you should get a different skin for each squadron. You cannot choose which skins to use via the sim interface. However by installing that skin pack you will be replacing the in game ones with vastly superior looking ones. Install all if you can - you can always back out the changes through the skinpack installer. Use the Tactical reference to check the skins have been installed okay.
  17. You can still buy HiTiles from here http://www.hitiles.com/indexF4AF.htm For skins look in the download section here or JANHAS has a website - check old threads on here for the link to his site. Falcon 4.0 (AF etc) is still a great simulation that no other can match for F-16 fans like me. DCS A-10C has fantastic graphics and is also hard core - so maybe one for you to try if you think the graphics matter that much.
  18. Which version are you running? It was left out of one of the SF2 patches - cant remember which one - but its back in newer ones - check old TW threads.
  19. Video and report from the BBC in China on their first new / old carrier http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-13693495
  20. What do you mean?
  21. MigBuster

    Check This Out!

Oh well....good luck on your own Scotland
  22. Which game do you have? Is this shipping missions in Single Missions or a Campaign? A Terrain must have shipping locations defined in the <terrain>_movement.ini file (well it used to need these)
  23. Yes you can understand that - If you have to fly over any IADS in the future - given the choice between a jet where there is a good chance you will be fired at and one you likely wont be fired at, pilots are going to be glad of the F-35 - which should make the job safer and easier for now.
  24. Yes so is the capability of the F-35 though! Who cares - blame whoever allocated the budget Have the Russians or Chinese quoted this? You could reduce the computing capability. The F-35B is always up for debate - but a supersonic stealth Harrier thats a lot safer to fly cant be bad. At the end of the day its coming into service now so only time will tell how it does in conflicts and sales.
