  1. How long have you been playing the game, and what level are you set at? Have you played the 1917 campaign on the allies side? - with everything set hard it was okay for me - got through it okay several times. check your 6 constantly - particularly if you are going after another plane.
  2. AFAIK the F-16A ADF was the only F-16A in USAF service to actually use the AIM-7 operationally. Not sure if Italy rewired them for Aspides (they probably just used AIM-120s - I would) However Taiwan has the F-16A Block 20 - shown with 2 AIM-7s: The person above may have been coming from this about all Block 15s: The AN/APG-66 radar on the Block 15 Fighting Falcons was provided with an early version of a track-while-scan mode for greater air defense capability. The F-16s were also equipped with Have Quick I secure UHF radios, and internal provisions for the AIM-7 were made. Additional structural strengthening was performed to allow an extra 1000 pounds of ordnance to be carried on the underwing points. Last but not least, pilot comfort was enhanced by improving the cockpit air conditioning. http://www.f-16.net/f-16_versions_article3.html
  3. depends - its not down to the card - the HDR mod will work if you run the games using DX9 - ie the first series ones and SF2 games not using advanced shaders or on Win XP. I can run the HDR in Gen 1 games on Win 7 64 and an ATi card But for SF2 games i crank up the settings and makes sure its using DX10 - in which case the HDR mod is not required anyway.
  4. You need to merge a couple of files together using the correct weapons editor for your game version - which I assume is Oct 2008 if you installed the latest patch from 3rdWire?. Have you found the weapons editor program (which I assume is in the weapons pack) and can you open/run it?
  5. What setting in which file are you changing?
  6. The first F-16 to carry the Sparrow was one of the prototypes in the mid to late 1970s - so I guess they decided to add missile capability very early on. The second YF-16 (#01568), equiped with 2x AIM-9, 2x AIM-7 and camera pods test-firing a Sparrow missile.
  7. I think the Block 25 was capable - not sure if they were ever carried. And have 2 sources stating Egypt had AIM-7 capable Block 32s http://www.f-16.net/f-16_users_article4.html
  8. Some really interesting reading there thanks
  9. Yeah not great - but good enough In that case it looks like the quarter finals for group C and D are: USA v Ghana England v Germany Think I would have preferred to get Ghana - but probably not much in it between them and Germany on current form!
  10. Been there - seems a good idea but really is not - listen to these old heads on here and run for the hills
  11. Check your main ini file is called F-16A.ini 19 files should be in \F-16A\ and the skin folders and the folder \F-16A\Cockpit - all the cockpit files go in there (91 files to go in cockpit) You may need to copy F-16A_netz_afterburner.tga into each skin folder
  12. You didnt try and install an old weapons pack in that did you?
  13. Probably cadillac man - as ive never heard of it before. Have Rescue Dawn on DVD - not bad but could have been so much better - also as ever its not totally accurate if do any reading on Dieter Dengler.
  14. To see ground targets withut a marker is very difficult unless you have a hi res monitor and trackIR (so you can look around and zoom in easily)- then you can see smoke from muzzle flashes etc (well its easier in SF2) If you dont have those things padlock may help, or set the hud only back to normal to get a red marker. The Ground radar mode does show ground objects like AAA, Bridges, Buildings - but its best use is really allowing you to avoid the dots at low level
  15. Happy Birthday Terrain king
  16. And when the England, Scotland and Republic of Ireleand Squads meet up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0v9wbacMLc&feature=related
  17. Ahh yes Ron Manager - like his interpretation of The formation thing - which seems to crop up most tournaments too! As for half time team talks - cant beat this one

    Apology

This day gets weirder - is this really a message from stiglr: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3034558/A_hearfelt_apology.html#Post3034558 It's been quite some time since I've posted on this board, and that's been mostly the decision of the administrators. I've had quite a tempestuous and adversarial history with many of you, and it's proven to be quite toxic for me. It was best for me to move on; life's too short not to be happy. However, I want to extend a sincere and heartfelt apology to anyone I hurt, insulted, or otherwise chagrined with anything I have ever posted. Like everyone here, I can be very passionate about anything that captures my imagination and can let that get the best of me when I communicate on a forum such as this. Passion and belief in one's point of view is no excuse for being sarcastic, rude or insulting, however. And that's what I'm apologizing for. So, from the bottom of my heart.... I'M SORRY. Blue skies and tailwinds to all of you!
  19. England were **** - why am I even surprised - Fantastic players at club level against the best plyers in the world - stick on an England shirt though and they cant even put 2 passes together - ****ing useless!! Seems to be the same every tournament! PS - Although England is the only country to qualify from the UK dont let Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland hear you are putting them in the same Pot as England Theres a good reason they dont let us play friendlies against each other anymore.
  20. Pretty cool shots - thanks Dig the Vampire - do you know what version that is?
  21. Germany 0 - Serbia 1 - Jeez thats a bit of a shocker!
  22. Crikey - great comeback from 2-0 down at half time - suspect you underestimated Slovenia - I certainly did - didnt think they even had a footy team! - when i was there in feb I could understand why they might be good at skiing - but didnt see any football pitches - just mountains!
