  1. Didn't Russo do a single seat F-4E?
  2. Isn't the stock field of view set at 60 degrees ? Where as the average or the human eyes is about 170 allowing for peripheral vision ? Maybe try resetting the viewlist INI setting from 60 to summat higher......just a thought. @stary....love your terrain experiments m8, just a pity I have no time to fly anymore.
  3. Looks like a pig to me.....maybe it should be nicknamed the PUFF.......Pig Ugly you know the rest....
  4. I sometimes get the same problem as strahi, but have done for a while now, no idea what causes it though.
  5. The new FRS1 is in with the recent Falklands terrain update, FRS2 is still a wip,I can get everything over to you tomorrow after work m8.
  6. Whole model m8, it has bump & spec maps. I still have the earlier temps as well if you'd prefer.
  7. Which models m8, the FRS1 released with the Falklands mod a few weeks ago has lots of mapping differences to all the others out there.
  8. Beautiful Pete!!!
  9. These are exactly the scenario's I was thinking about, I think it would be flights of 2 just trying to survive long enough for more aircraft to arrive......but how long would that take ?
  10. I think I have OY coded birds on my HD somewhere....... I was doing every 'Nam unit at one stage....just for my own use...
  11. I think at the end of the day its up you the individual to decide what you want from whatever it is you do. I personally, am a selfish old bugger, so when I decide something is good enough for what I want to see, then thats it , done. [ on that note I have no end of stuff that I will never release mainly because that every time I think "thats it" after a couple of weeks I find something else that could be better] It all depends what you/we are trying to achieve, if all you want is constant back slapping "well done" reactions, then its time to give up, but if what you do makes you happy and serves its purpose, then carry on and enjoy the hobby. If others get enjoyment from it then thats a great bonus. I see this type of thing a lot on avaition photography forums, some folks are just interested in "Airliners Net" quality photos and anything else by "Joe Public" just dosent count.......but I bet Joe Public had more fun getting his photos.
  12. Very true m8........sometimes the search for perfection can lead to self destruction, that was how I got, then I realised when and where to draw the line.
  13. The second it stops being fun I walk away.....
  14. Quality work there .
  15. Just digging up an old topic.......the filename does not have to be INITSCREEN, it can be anything you like, just so long as the entry name and the bmp name match. [startup] IntroMovieList= StartupScreen=MainScreen LoadingScreen=Menu\ODS.BMP This way I have mutiple initializing screens in my menu folder.....one for every install.
  16. Also I forgot to state that to use the 1983 Terrain your "End Year" statement in your options ini should be set at 2020 or something of your choice. This should also cure the above ctd issue.
  17. Sorry for the late reply folks, but I cant get a ctd when flying single missions......but there is a part of eburgers read me that says..... "1. Single Missions vs Campaigns Like the original "Falklands '82" for SFP1, the Malvinas & Falkands terrains are set up to use different years for Single Missions (i.e., "Create Mission") and the Campaigns. Campaigns: both campaigns automatically start on May 1, 1982, and continue into mid June 1982. Single Missions: when flying Single Missions, set the "Mission Date" to 1983. If you set the date to 1982, you may get a CTD (crash to desktop) when attempting to start the mission. As Kesselbrut noted in his original ReadMe, game-generated single missions ("Create Mission") should be flown in 1983 because the only British air base on the islands was build in late May. If you have a mission date before May 29, 1982, the game will CTD becaue there is no air base for British aircraft to use. User-created missions (with a 1982 mission date) will work normally. British aircraft will still have to take off from a carrier before May 29, though, even in user-created missions for 1982." That could well be the problem you are getting.
  18. View File Alternate Falklands Terrains Firstly I strongly advise that you install the Falklands_1982 mod by eburger & team. http://combatace.com/topic/74604-sf2-falklands-mod-redux/ Two new versions of the Falklands/Malvinas terrain. Hopefully most of the issues with the original are now sorted, coast lines have needed to be changed here and there and the terrain itself is much more uneven with more pronounced hills and mountains, two seasonal variations are included. Please read the readme....it really does have some useful stuff in it. Many thanks to eburger & the team that worked on the original mod.
