Steam product page Been playing through the tutorial mission and the title sequence and so far it seems entertaining enough. Certainly much better production values compared to HAWX.

DCS and FC doesn't excite me at all. Nor has any other Russian-developed sim.

Are you going to bake all those highpoly meshes down to normal maps like a pro?

I always save sequentially for this very reason. If something happens I can always go back to my last save.

The Rockwell ATF is a pretty neat design.

They did do ground attack as well using FFARs. However, the F-106 is a much more capable dogfighter especially with the latter-fit bubble canopy which is sadly lacking here. If you really want a challenge, try flying the F-101A or C against MiG-17/19 the way it was originally intended to do.

What happened to the railings?

Startups and other checklist features like that are really novelty features. You do them once just to try and then skip em since you can't be bothered. Personally I'd like much better performance feedback like in teh old RSR campaign.

Iceland terrain looked like s**t because first of all he didn't bother texturing it and then he didn't bother placing any props save a couple of houses on it. It would have looked dated even compared to 1997 terrains.

Well I played around with multiple ideas when I made the model but curved collision is a no-go. The current compromise is the best IMO.

Well maybe if the both of you bang your bright heads together you can figure out a bit more. He obviously uses satmap textures to get the snow and stuff so maybe something can be achieved by simply editing those textures.
