    Fallenphoenix is british so of course when he talks about 'our ssn force' he means the RN in which case 10 to 1 is completely correct.

    Get a photo of some roughly painted surface, import it into PS, desaturate, run high pass filter 5-10px or something so you get a nice tiling texture, then just put it at a slight opacity so it is barely noticeable.

    Yeah, looks a hell of a lot better than your earlier efforts. If I had to crit something I'd say you could spend some polies on adding the rigging and a flag. It makes all the difference in the world :)

    Ship looks good but needs more texture detail on the superstructure. Don't worry about referencences. The important thing is that it looks convincing, not that it's accurate!

    Why the hell would you export as .3ds which triangulates and messes up your smoothing group when you can just export the scene as .fbx instead and get everything including animation rigs, controllers etc.

    I made some own custom tiles with IMO nicer snow (based on Starys as well) which I did some heightmaps for. I can upload them here if there's any interest in tinkering with them.

    Let him lock everything at once then, if he's intent on locking it later anyway. As long as the content is local it can be unlocked and tinkered with.

    I don't know if I should buy it or hold out for Silent Hunter Online instead. I didn't enjoy SH4 all that much. SH1 is still the best.

    All you need is an .obj or .fbx exporter. Almost every 3D package can import/export .obj.
