F-2H Banshee Updated data pack v1.1
This is a further update of the DATA.inis of the RAZBAM F-2H Banshee.
In this updated data pack, there are changes in the data.ini, trying to achieve realistic performance specs.
So changes are done in almost every aspect of the specs (weight, flightdata, engine thrust etc) for being as close to the real thing as possible.
For using this pack you need to have downloaded first
- the original RAZBAM Banshee (Go to RAZBAM website for more details)
- the Banshee Tweeks Pak -for Razbam Banshees of Wrench
https://combatace.com/files/file/14889-sf2-kaw-f2h-2-banshee-tweeks-pak-for-razbam-banshees/
https://combatace.com/files/file/15415-sf2-f2h-3-banshee-tweeks-pak-for-razbam-banshees/
https://combatace.com/files/file/15417-sf2-f2h-4-banshee-tweeks-pak-for-razbam-banshees/
Credis should go to
- RAZBAM for the original release
- Wrench for making this really usable in missions/campaings
- Ravenclaw_007 for the AN-M30 bomb
- Spillone for - at least - some of the sounds
Thoughts for further upgrades
- The AltitudeTableNumData & DryMachTableNumData are really very limited and are restricting realism. Please give me help to correct them. DONE
- The F2H-3 (F-2C) is without wingtip tanks but in reality all the -2,-3,-4 models had the capability of carrying wingtip tanks.
I am planning to substitute the LOD of the -3 with the -4 model (since these two were identical externally) but for doing so I am waiting your feedback.DONE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Overwrite everything above v1.0. Place the banshee f2h4.LOD (which you can purchase from the RAZBAM website) in your F-2H3 folder.
What's new in v1.1
- The Destroyed Model now it's the stock F-84F one.
- The F3H-3 (F-2C) now uses the F3H-4 LOD. Indeed, the -3 also used more the wing tip tanks than not, since they had a minimal effect on overall performance.
- Further updated engine data.
- Corrected ground clearence for the F3H-2.
- Corrected loadouts. Now the wing pylon can be loaded with bombs (historical).
- Small touches here & there for better overall result.
Issues
- The -4 used a different radar than the -3 model that had also a different radar screen with different symbology (not a successful one, as it often mentioned).
However, it seems that we have the -3 style radar screen for the - 4 model too.
- In some sources it's stated that the -4 had 20% more range than the -3 model. I am not convinced for that.
Most likely it had to do with the need for full throttle/max power more often than the -4 model
in combat conditions, something which indeed reduced endurance. Therefore I kept the same radius for the -3 & -4 models.
- The Canadians seldom used their wing tip tanks. I had a hard time to spot canadian F-2s with wing tip tanks when in actual service.
The most likely explanation is that with the small canadian aircraft was too much to handle the take off of the approx. extra 1 ton of weight with the wingtips on the weak -3 model.
If someone wants a tank-less RCN F-2, I can update the pack. However the final solution will be to add the tanks as loadouts.

Westland Wessex Hu 5
Royal Navy skin
A re work of the skin for the Wessex HU5 , the aircraft is originally from the A-Team site, so you will ( if you want to fly this aircraft ) have to obtain the files and lods from there,
This is a complete re do of the whole thing, as I was never happy with the colour, so I have corrected that, I have re drawn all the panels relatively accurately, I haven't bothered with rivet detail as to be honest it doesn't actually show up too well, I have corrected and updated ALL the stencilling, as the original effort was a dogs breakfast to be honest. I have also re done the decals and markings.
So what is included.........2 skins, one for aircraft from 848 NAS who were the squadron in action during the Falklands operation, and one skin for 845 NAS flying off HMS Bulwark in 1966 during the Brunei and Indonesia debacle. I have included the decals for both Squadrons, and also the pilots that I personally use, although green helmets were more the flavour of the day during the Falklands, so feel free to swap out the pilots if that is your taste.
A quick note about the shortfalls of these skins, the aircraft I believe was originally done for SF 1 so it is a little aged, therefore there are some clipping issues you may encounter, I am unable to do anything about this, in reality, we could do with a completely new model of this important aircraft, and hopefully one day it will happen !! So pretty much I have made a silk purse from a sows ear here, the aircraft itself. looks a little "off" I am sure there are some dimension errors, it doesn#'t seem tall enough, and it looks a little bit odd from the front view.....but I could of course be wrong, and the thing is perfect, but I doubt it. The stuff we all are getting used to like working lights and hatches......yeah ok.......not happening on this model, and I forgot to make lights work at least....oh well, such is life !!
Hopefully I shall do some skins for RAF HC3's next so watch this space for those.
As always, ENJOY !!

SF2 DHC-1 Chipmunk Pack 2/25/2020
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended, plus Exp 1)
This is a remake & reissue of the the DHC-1 Chipmunk trainer aircraft first released in 2008 by "Big Al". It has been reworked to bring it more into compliance with SF2 standards, as best as possbile. Be advised, there are a number of issues & flaws; they are enumerated in the "Notes" section.
This is the full aircraft, with all necessary parts. The skin maps, still in bmp format, have been slightly repainted to allow the use of decals for insignia, 'plane-in-squad' letters and serial numbers. Serial numbers, while historically accurate for the version depicted, should be considered generic in nature. Decal randomizaion is TRUE. As exported is TRUE, a user list has been created. It does not list all the Chipmunk's export users. End Users (tm) are encouraged to fill it in as needed.
While this is an exceptionally old model, the canopy does work via standard manual animation keystroke (Shift/0 -zero). Expansion Pack 1 is required for the destroyed model (Spitfire). If you do not have it, you'll have to find another to use in it's place.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.
Please see the "Notes" section for a list of changes to make the aircraft more SF2 compliant, and certain other explinations. The original release readme, from 2008, is included within the aircraft's main folder.
Happy Landings!

A dedicated, historical decalset was made.Hangar, loadout & loading added.
