These are some more missions I've made recently learning more about the WoX series mission code. They're mostly F-4 missions. They require various terrains and aircraft that have been made available on this site. If you don't have the terrain, get it. If you don't have a particular aircraft/ship/skin/etc., get it or change it out in the ,msn file for one you do have. This is a third party add on of the AH-1Q Cobra using models and cockpits created by me.
The original flight model is standard as on many free to download helicopters.
I have just modified it a bit.
It is designed for and works in the SF1 and SF2 series.
However this pack is build on SF1 folder tree.
For SF2 You have to separete Decals folders.
There is a plenty of tutorials how to convert to SF2 series.
There is a issue with tractorbeamshadow. I will try to fix this asap.
For now temporary i dont have posibility to convert and work on SF2 sim. Temporary.

This addon works only with my WeaponPACK.
For this Q model you should download standard weapon pack for AH-1G.

New weapons specific for this model are already included in this package.
All of weapon stations are made as specific station code and will work only with Cobra WeaponPACK.
Standard commands for activating Cobra features:
AIRBRAKES - sun filter/shader on off - just for fun no airbrakes so empty animation slot for use.
ARRESTING HOOK - jump from pilot station to gunner station.
LANDING GEAR - belly light deploy/retract at any speed in late models
- nose lights activate/deactivate in early model. Lights must on.
A2A mode - gunner station guncross for turret.
A2Ground mode - pilot M73 cross.
ANIMATION 7 - turret doors
ANIMATION 8 - ammo bay dooors
ANIMATION 9 - gunner door (ext and cockpit view)
ANIMATION 10 - pilot door (ext and cockpit view)
For take off: Around 75% of throttle vector (small needle on RPM clock in cockpit should be like 65degree up) - (default ctrl + ) and then increase power to 70-85% (or more for quick lift) and pull controll stick little and snake will take off. Then reduce throttle vector as needed and reduce power to 69%. It should fly around 110kts now. 69% is about cruising speed.
When on the ground you can see rotating blades for pitch and roll. Just additional and unnecesary thing (not visible so much when flying) but it is possible so it is there. Not working like i want but better then nothing.
There are two different pylons on inboard stations one for rocketpods one for gunpods. Just to have a proper angle of fire with GP. It is not proper for real model but in my opinion best what can be done for SF engine. Rocket pods are ok with correct angle on inboard stations.
Outboard TOW pylons. You can load 4 or 8 BGM-71 Missiles. Upper M65 launcher is made as StationGroupID=3 and lowwer M65 launcher is StationGroupID=4. Either you can load only on upper launcher or both lower and upper.
Of course loading onl on lower without upper will look silly. But this is thirdwire game engine. We can't change it. Unfortunately in loadout menu option for 2 BGM-71 will appear. Well i don't know how to limit station to load only on weapon rack. Do not use it also. It doesn't look good. And missile has no launching tube.
Guns are loaded as weaponstations so player got options.

There is skin only for 11 ACR in Europe. Well Q was upgraded to S(MOD) quickly so not much info to find about Q in units.
All serial numbers are proper for Q model but am not sure if these numbers appeared in 11th ACR.
15086 for sure was there.
This pack contains already weapons folder. There you will find 2 new weapons and one weapon rack for this Q model Cobra.

Blackburn Firebrand T.F. Mk V (*)

The Blackburn Firebrand was a single-engine strike fighter for the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during World War II by Blackburn Aircraft. Originally intended to serve as a pure fighter, its unimpressive performance and the allocation of its Napier Sabre piston engine by the Ministry of Aircraft Production for the Hawker Typhoon caused it to be redesigned as a strike fighter to take advantage of its load-carrying capability. Development was slow and the first production aircraft was not delivered until after the end of the war. Only a few hundred were built before it was withdrawn from front-line service in 1953.
So the Firebrand T.F. Mk 5 (124 new and T.F. Mk IV upgraded) served with 813 and 827 NAS on Illustrious, Implacable, Indomitable and Eagle carriers, or at some bases like Ford or Culdrose from 1947 until 1953, when Wyvern arrived.

Known Issues:
as this a beta (unifinished) model it has several issues.

- uncorrect wingfold, as the real one was like Firefly (coming soon ...);
- the right gear at take off is outside the relative door;
Maybe it could be finished ... but we can use it very well too.
The FM was edited to me to allow the plane to fly.
A specialist (who said Baffmeister or Cliff?) should take care of this bird.
I love british carrierborne planes of any kind.

Midway Terrain version 1.1

MIDWAY TERRAIN

I.
Midway terrain is made for "Strike Fighters Project 1" SFP1.
You can use it in Wings over Vietnam and Wings over Europe too.
Wings over Israel can handle this terrain too, but the flight modells of prop driven planes shows anomalies in WOI.
==============================================
II.
Midway terrain covers a part of the Central Pacific Ocean with the atolls of Kure and Midway.
It is the place were in 1942 a big Air-Sea-Battle was fought between the Imperial Japanese Navy and the US Navy. The japanese Navy was superior in numbers of ships, but the US side had some major advantages. No.1, the japanese communication code was broken, so that the US Navy commanders were able to read the enemy commands. No.2, the US had radar coverage, so that enemy surprise attacks were nearly impossible. No.3, the US had the superior number of airplanes which were deciding during the battle.
The battle was fought as a pure air to sea combat. No single gunfire exchange between naval vessels took place.
The result was that the japanese Navy lost 4 carriers and the US Navy lost 1 carrier. It was a impressive victory for the USA in Pacifice war theater. You can compare it with the Battle of Moscow on the Eastern Front or the first british victories in North Africa.

III Known problems
Up today it is impossible to take off and land from carriers while using single missions which are generated by random single mission screen.
Thatswhy i added invisible airfields for taking off and landing in the centre of carrier formations. You will also start from the sea. This is not satisfying. Thatswhy it is the best to start the mission in the air to overcome this problem.

1.)unzip all files into your Terrain folder
2.)unzip Groundobject.rar into your Objects folder.
It is neccessary that you download following files from Capuns homepage

I made all Mk40 FFAR rockets with different look of warhead. Two versions low poly with
colors in max and hi-detail with skins. But i just noticed that i did not pack hi-detailed
versions. I will upload it little later in weapon pack update.
I have redone all weapons - launchers M159,157,158,M200, and some navy LAUs. Gunpods M18
and navy SUU-11. XM118 smoke dispenser and also zuni LAU for future.
Guns are loaded as weaponstations so player got options.

When on the ground you can see rotating blades for pitch and roll. Just additional and
unnecesary thing (not visible so much when flying) but it is possible so it is there. Not
working like i want but better then nothing.
There are two different pylons on inboard stations one for rocketpods one for gunpods. Just
to have a proper angle of fire with GP. It is not proper for real model but in my opinion
best what can be done for SF engine. Rocket pods are ok with correct angle on inboard stations.
I made all Mk40 FFAR rockets with different look of warhead. Two versions low poly with
colors in max and hi-detail with skins. But i just noticed that i did not pack hi-detailed
versions. I will upload it little later in weapon pack update.
I have redone all weapons - launchers M159,157,158,M200, and some navy LAUs. Gunpods M18
and navy SUU-11. XM118 smoke dispenser and also zuni LAU for future.
Guns are loaded as weaponstations so player got options.

TAT-102 Turret - 7.62mm M134 Minigun 8000 rounds. Only on early model.

XM-35 – Contains 20mm M195 Vulcan canon. De-rated to 750rpm. With 1800 rounds in box containers above skids on each side of aircraft.
This subsytem was fitted to some aircrafts (not every could carry) in late 1969 onwards.
Mostly fitted in new arived aircrafts. Not evry aircraft in unit was able to carrythis subsytem – usually 2-3.
For those who are not familiar with cobra weapon subsytems it could be carried only on left wing.
XM118 Dispenser, grenade, smoke.
4 versions, for XM-157, XM-158, XM-159/200 launchers and standalone.
For proper visual effect dispenser for XM-157 shouldn’t be use for other launchers etc. Standalone dispenser is for use without any rocketpods on outboard pylon.
I dontk know if it was issued to army during Vietnam War. I saw this on pictures from trials. But never in action
Copy weapons into weapons folder, add specific entries into weapondata.ini and install it with weaponeditor.
Add gundata entry into gundata.ini file and install guns with guneditor.
Gundata is not so important. But in gunpods and guns in weaponpack i put my own gundata entry. You can use gundata in weapons of your choice.
This is freeware; it CANNOT be distrubuted unless permissions are granted by myself.

I tried to get a little more realistic feeling in it so it have to yellow markings on the screen. When Radar is at 25NM Mode, all targets on the outer circle are 15NM away and so in range for a AIM-120 shoot for example. Targets on the inner circle are 5NM away and in range for an IRM shoot. On the inner circle there are also 12,3,6,9 o´clock markings for better navigation.
