    4. SF2 F8F-1 Bearcat, VNAF        12/31/2025
= For SF2, Any and All, But Designed for SF2:V =
Modifications to Geo's Bearcat recreate those as used by the (South) Vietnamese Air Force from the mid 1950s thru the early 1960s. This is a stand-alone, nationalized aircraft mod, with just about everything you'll need. This mod has been 'salvaged' from my unfinished "Vietnam 48" mod (hence the "_FN" suffix, as it was originally for the French).
You'll have 2 new skins, created from Geary's excellent template:
VNAF = Glossy Sea Blue, <1954 (received from the French)
      VNAF2 = Natural Metal(ish) Finish <1960
Both skins represent the VNAF's 1st Fighter Squadron. Most markings are decals. National emblems are, however painted on Decal randomization is TRUE for all the serial numbers. There are 26 for each skin. The SF2 date switch is active, and will automatically shift to the NMF skin in 1960
The canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0 (zero). Pilot figures, and WW2 period bombs and drop tanks are included. If you have the Full 7 Merged (with both Expansion Packs), you can change the AN-M64 500 pounders (aka: 500lb_bomb) for the stock 3W version (M64). The 5" HVARs are stock 3W items.
You'll also be adding a new engine sound, and this will need to be added to the Sound list ini, so have that extracted (if you haven't already), and in the /Flight folder in you SF2:V Mods Folder.
As extra special end-of-the-year-gifts, I've included a modified main ini for the stock VietnamSEA terrain, backdating it to start in 1955, after the withdrawal of French forces, and the partition of the country into North and South.
AND!!!! as an Super Extra Added Bonus (tm) You get a new(ish) generic loading screen, for general global use (when no other exists).
On the Aircraft Selection Drop Down menu, you'll see
      F8F-1 Bearcat (VNAF)

    5. Last of the Steam Engine Tankers: KC-135As in the Early 90s
This mod covers the final years of the KC-135A's career, the last few years of J57 jet propulsion after SAC was shutdown and ACC/AMC came to be
      Skins included are
      -2nd Operations Group (1992-1993)
      -5th Wing (1992-1993)
      -9th Wing (1992-1993)
      -96th Wing (1992-1993)
      -AETC (1992-1993)
-AMC Grey (same grey as current a/c use, mix units, very few)

          Included
Model, Skins and decals for KC-135A
Cockpit and ini edits to make player flyable
      Sounds and Effects

          Installation
open "2 Mod Folder", add contents to mod folder of your choice
fire up game, take off and go pass gas
          Known Issues
-This is meant as eye candy. unfortunately, SF2 doesnt support air to air refueling so the best to be done is set up a recon mission
and then park it in an orbit.
-Also, Dels C-130 pit does not line up with the model very well. it is included mainly so that it can be player selected
(i had to test it somehow).
-Loading more than 8 aircraft on a mission will produce irregularities (like only the front half of the camo showing).
So far I have not seen more than 8 on a ramp, and it is doubtful you need to load more than that in one area for a mission.
-Just be warned if you throw all 16 in at once.

    7. Fictional mod of Dels' superb YF-23A to make it look like a fictional fighter plane for the swedish air force.
      BACKGROUND
The end of the "Advanced Tactical Fighter" program also marked the end to the YF-23 of the consortium composed of Northrop, Grumman and MDD. With the election of the YF-22, the YF-23 became obsolete and the existing frames got mothballed.
The swedish minister of Defence, Anders Björck, who recognized the potential of the plane, followed the ATF program in the way it was possible to him. He, after gaining knowledge about the fate of the Black Widows, placed a demand inside the swedish parliament, to get into touch with the Pentagon in order to explore the possibilities of acquisition. With the decease of the Soviet Union nevertheless, the swedish parliament wasn't interested in such expensive and politically explosive purchases.
It was eight years later, after the release of the Visby-Corvettes, which are considered to have stealth properties, when Björn von Sydow (then minister of defence in Sweden) brought the idea of having stealth fighters back into speech. He also remembered the petition being made by former MoD Björck years ago. Rising tensions with Russia, violating the swedish airspace now and then, let the politicians rethink their position towards the construction or acquisition of stealth planes. Since the US would never export the Raptor, efforts were made to obtain the Black Widow. A formal petition note from the swedish government was handed to the US government. Severe concerns about the transition of technology were pronounced and a team of experts and engineers from the Skunkworks was consulted. Though not being a potential enemy and always having been neutral, this kind of technology and the posibility of getting the wrong hands onto it, made the crucial organs in the US administration doubt about if it would be the right decision to sell these aircraft to Sweden.
More than ten months passed since the request of the purchasing of the aircraft. After that space of time, Stockholm received green light for the purchasing of the aircraft, but under limitations. It was only allowed to get the airframes. These got stripped of all technology, both stealth and other military equipment. They also were allowed to get the frames in a primed state, without any traces of paint which aided in absorbing radar waves. Final condition was the ban on export of the aircraft resulting from the swedish efforts in getting an stealthy aircraft themselves.
SAAB and a team of scientists inmediately got into work to adapt the existing airframes to the necessities as stated by the government.
In 2007, when SAAB presented the first airframe, returned to an airworthy state, scepticism arose among the government. But when the aircraft took off and the military demonstrated the potential of this aircraft, scepticism was nowhere to be seen. Existing orders for the Gripen were reduced in favor of the J-40 Vålnad (Ghost).

    8. Fictional mod of the stock F-16A Netz from SFP:I to make it look like a fictional fighter plane for the italian air force.
      BACKGROUND
Italy has the Viper, but as a lend-lease contract since 2003. What if they got them earlier...
When the state on the Apeninne Peninsula sought a replacement for the aging fleet of Zippers, the Viper was not directly on the first line. The Aeronautica Militare was thinking about replacing the fighters with more Tornadoes; but sought for other suitable candidates. Options weren't that numerous. France offered it's Mirage 50 and F1 while Sweden made a point with Draken and Viggen. The military command wanted a single-engined jet. Since their good experiences with the Zipper and the reduced cost of maintenance in contrast to a double engined aircraft (such as the Panavia Tornado), Italy asked France, Sweden and the US (which brought the F-15 and F-16) for evaluation flights of their models. The F-15 got sorted out early. Though being a huge weapons platform with a lot of payload (compared to the other candidates), it simply had two engines.
The italian pilots brought the planes to their limits and were amazed how simple it was to fly the Viper, compared to the other aircraft. In early 1983, a contract was signed between the Reagan administration and the italian government, that allowed Aeritalia (the company, that already produced the 104S Starfighter for the A.M.I.) to build the aircraft under license.
The first F-16S (Block 15 OCU-Standard) made its maiden flight in 1984 and replacement of the Starfighters started in 1985 finishing the task at the end of 1987.

    9. SF2 Cessna O-1E Bird Dog Remod Pack -for 3W O-1E-  ver.3         12/14/2025
= For SF2, Any and All, Designed for SF2:V =
**This mod is designed to replace, in total, the version I did in 2011. If you don't have that mod, not to worry, everything -and MORE- is included in THIS one!!! **
This is a major overhaul of the stock 3rd Wire 1stGen O-1E Bird Dog with a new, functioning cockpit, all NEW skins from Brand New Home Grown Templates (tm), which are included within the main aircraft folder. All new semi-historically accurate serial numbers (meaning: generic in nature, representing no particular unit, but mostly correct for the time frames for each skins operational years and country assigned). All skins are now in jpg format, at 1024x1024. When discoverable, the read me for the original 1stGen skin is included with that skin folder.
The skins included herein represent ---
      Canada:
      CDN Army (CO-119) <54
      Pakistan:
      Pak Army Green <72
      US Army:
      US Army Aviation L-19/O-1A <1949  (USArmy1 folder)
73rd Aviation Co "Warriors" (USA) <63 (USArmy2 folder)
      USAF:
      20th TASS <61
      VNAF:
112th Liaison Sqdn <1962 (OD w/LtGrey upper wings)
112th Liaison Sqdn <1970 (overall LtGrey)
Decal randomization is TRUE for all. Skins have either 16, 20, 24 or 26 serial number decals, depending on Air Force and time frame used. The SF2 Date Switch is active for the 2 US Army & VNAF skins. As you can see above, the year tagged is their start date. Skins are now in the (mostly) correct colors as seen in Real Life (tm).
The aircraft uses stock HVARs, but for fun I've included the M-60 underwing machine gun. So you can shoot stuff up.  A new User list.ini is supplied, with most of the Dog's users. New pilot figures are used, too!
Be advised, the US Army Aviation units depicted here are still tagged with "USAF" as their Nation of Origin. See "Notes" for adding US Army to you Nations.ini, if you aren't using DaddyAirplanes expanded one. You'll have to extract the Nations.ini, if you haven't already, and place it in you /Flight folder. You'll also have to edit the TextureSet ini for those skins, in either case. Again, instructions are below.
You'll also be adding a new engine sound, and this will need to be added to the Sound list ini, so have that extracted (if you haven't already), and in the /Flight folder in you Mods Folder of choice (ie: SF2:V)
Because there are several differing Bird Dogs wandering around, I've used a unique folder & displayed name to differentiate it from them. On the Aircraft Selection Drop Down menu, you'll see
      O-1E Bird Dog (3W)
The (3W) names it as the stock SFP1/WoV 3rd Wire aircraft.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.
Please read the Notes section for other possibly useless information, and (hopefully) full credits.

    10. Dassault Mystère IVE for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Quad-Merged)
Fictional mod of the stock Mystère IVA from SFP:E to make it look like a fictional fighter plane for different european air Forces.
      BACKGROUND
In 1948, as Europe still lay under the shadow of World War II and the political landscape was reshaping, a group of European nations decided to take a bold step towards self-determination. While the United States was preparing to establish NATO and bring the Western world under its leadership, some European nations aimed to build a military power, that didn’t necessarily rely on the US in order to develop a strong military force by themselves. A secret meeting in the French Alps brought together military leaders, engineers, and political figures to launch the “European Military Initiative.”
The first days of the conference were filled with doubt and tension. Charles de Gaulle, the leader of France, worked tirelessly to promote the idea of military cooperation within Europe, without remaining dependent on the United States. The Americans had already laid out their own plans for European defense, but De Gaulle wanted more – he wanted Europe to develop its own, independent military backbone. In particular, there was a growing need for indigenous technology in the field of aviation, one that could compete with both American and Soviet counterparts. The war showed the flaws of tnot improving the own military capablities. Especially when it comes to airborne firepower, the allies learned a hard lesson from the axis, which was able to knockout Poland’s and France’s air force wthout any greater problems in a short period of time.
De Gaulle knew that France, as the leading nation of this alliance, had to take a crucial step to win the trust of the other European countries. At Dassault Aviation factories in Toulouse, a team of engineers was already working on a new jet that would form the backbone of the European Air Force: the Dassault Mystère IVA.
The Mystère IVA was originally designed as an advanced fighter and bomber, intended to challenge the leading aircraft of the Western world in the early 1950s. Under the leadership of Marcel Dassault, the charismatic CEO of Dassault Aviation, the Mystère IVA became a symbol of French engineering excellence and military independence.
Although the Mystère IVA was originally intended for the French Air Force, the project quickly caught the interest of other European nations. Greece, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy recognized the potential of this jet and decided to join forces in advancing the development of the Dassault Mystère IVA; whose european export version received the designation IVE. The Mystère IVE was a sleek, fast jet designed to secure air superiority, and it was above all one thing: a symbol of European self-determination and military innovation.
As the first test flights of the Mystère IVE took place in the early 1950s in France, a high-ranking delegation of European leaders traveled to Toulouse to see the jet up close. Among them was Konrad Adenauer, the Chancellor of West Germany, who was increasingly aware of the need for military cooperation between Western nations to counter the Soviet threat in the East. Adenauer was a pragmatic politician, but he also knew that a strong, united Europe was essential for rebuilding the continent and securing long-term peace.
The development of the Dassault Mystère IVA led to further diplomatic tensions, but also to a surprising collaboration. The German engineers, who had been allowed to return to military development under Adenauer, contributed their expertise to improving the Mystère IVE. The jet was now truly a collaborative project that brought together the best minds from across Europe.
Despite concerns from the United States and tensions within the Western alliance, the European Military Initiative grew in importance. By 1955, as NATO was already in full swing, Europe had stabilized enough that the Dassault Mystère IVE jets were no longer just a military asset – they were a symbol of European resolve. Even Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister, came to recognize the value of military cooperation within Europe, although he had initially been skeptical. In spite of his recognition, the UK kept their own path, mostly relying on domestic designs.
Spain, who was also interested in participating and acquiring the jet for it’s own air force, got rejected because of the dictatorial government. Other countries like Sweden and Norway got offers for the fighter, but refused. While Sweden was building it’s own aircraft industry, Norway preferred to buy aircraft from the UK and US.

    11. F-35 Lightning II Add-on
      December 13th, 2025 (1st Release)
by daddyairplanes, Wrench, simonmiller416, kblomkvist, Astore and Menrva

      >For Strike Fighters 2 games
This is a complete add-on of the F-35 Lightning II family of aircraft, featuring all of its Real World operators.
The result of a joint effort by the community, the package currently includes the following operators and relative skins produced by daddyairplanes, Wrench, simonmiller416, kblomkvist and Astore, with tweaks by yours truly where needed for quality consistency:
-United States Air Force, 23 F-35A skins
-United States Marine Corps, 5 F-35B skins, 1 F-35C skin
-United States Navy, 3 F-35C skins
      -Italian Air Force, 2 F-35A skins, 1 F-35B skin
      -Italian Navy, 1 F-35B skin
      -Japan Air Self-Defense Force, 1 F-35A skin
-Belgian Air Component, 1 F-35A skin
-Royal Air Force, 1 F-35B skin
-Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm, 1 F-35B skin
-Royal Australian Air Force, 1 F-35A skin
-Royal Danish Air Force, 1 F-35A skin
-Royal Netherlands Air Force, 1 F-35A skin
-Royal Norwegian Air Force, 1 F-35A skin
I further polished the package with reworked data and weapon loadouts, my own selection of sounds, new cockpit and HUD textures and other smaller tweaks here and there. The incredibly detailed weapons included in the package are the courtesy of ravenclaw_07.
NOTE: Unlike previous mod packages released by yours truly, this one does not match the quality standards I usually aim for. Real Life got in the way and I cannot spare enough time for modding as I'd like. This aircraft add-on is far from perfect, there are issues with AI, the flight model physics, loadouts not being accurate as they should be, the cockpit being just wrong and mostly a textured screen, and on and on. If in the future someone provides better data fixing such issues, and/or newer 3d models for the aircraft and for the cockpit, then I may update this package and give it further care. For now enjoy it as is and do not ask for further fixes and/or improvements, I cannot do those at this time.

    12. SF2 T-28D Trojan Upgrade Pack for YAP-RW                                                                12/9/2025
What we have here is an upgrade pack for the YAP-RW T-28D "Trojan" trainer/close support aircraft. This full aircraft mod is being released with permission from the YAP-RW Team, and I extend special thanks to Andrea "Ralph" Richini for his help, support and approval.
This package includes the original 3 skins, with all new decals, some data ini modifications (mostly adding armor), a new engine sound is also included. Be forewarned! You will be adding the new sound to your game/mod folder's Soundlist.ini. Full instructions are in the "To Install" below.
All weapons are stock, in-game items. Both canopies open with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero).
      The 3 skins are:
      USAF:
      4400th CCTS
      Vietnamese Air Force (South):
      2nd FS/516th FS <1962
      Royal Laos Air Force:
      RLAF <1963
Most markings are decals, but due to the fuselage/tail fin being one mesh, all fuselage national markings are painted on. The USAF and VNAF each have 24 serials. As I was unable to run down particular squadron usages, the VNAF serials are "generic" as in "these were assigned to the VNAF". USAF is also generic. The 16 RLAF serials are 100% hysterically correct. The years seen above are the start dates for these units/skins. So, the 'SF2 Date Switch is (mostly) active.
If installing this to well, any mod folder including YAP-RW, you'll see on the aircraft selection drop-down menu:
      T-28D Trojan (Y)
"Y", of course is for YAP, differentiating it from any others (?). Be advised, I did NOT change the folder name. Only the displayed name. So it should NOT effect anything if used in a YAP-RW mods folder. But that's not guaranteed! In a normal SF2:V mods folder, will have no effect (unless you have somebody else's Trojan in there?). If you HAVE YAP, maybe want to backup your original for Safety's Sake (tm).
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.

    13. Many photos of the ferry flight of the first F-16s for Argentina were recently uploaded.
That said, I decided to update the pack for you so you can use them.
The F-16BM has been updated, and the F-16AM has been added with the first two registrations. These aircraft have the Have Glass V paint scheme, along with some rumors about the weapons configuration and other details such as a different flight pattern, Have Glass I in the cockpit, details of the registrations, and the registrations they had during their service with the Royal Danish Air Force. The pilots are also wearing JMHCS helmets. (I need to know who created these pilots so I can give them credit. If you are the artist or know them, please mention them so I can give them the appropriate credit.)

Another "Found In The Archives" Job
Found this while cleaning an external drive. I have no idea where I got it, when I got it, or who built it. I've checked with our South American brethren, and they weren't sure either, but support the decision to release it. It's a 'not quite' ready aircraft, with some mapping issues (like, some parts are unmapped), but otherwise in good shape. It flies fine (albeit a bit TOO overpowered and maneuverable, but otherwise just fine). Therefore, I've given it the rating of "Beta +". If anyone does know who built it , Please Let Me Know, and I'll update the credits.
What we have here is a Grumman S2F-3S (SF2-E after 1962), and is VERY close to the G model. (See "Notes"). This is the later model, not the early type with the sensor pod on a pylon above the cockpit.
The aircraft came with several skins, and of course I had to add more! Those marked with a star (*) are the original skins. Those unmarked, are by me.  You'll have:
      US Navy:
VS-21 "Fighting Red Tails" (Pacific 60-70)
      VS-37 "Sawbucks" (Pacific 61-73)*
      VS-28 "Hukkers" (Atlantic 60-69)
      VT-28 "Rangers" (60-79 TS-2A)*
      Argentine Navy:
      Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (Blue)(<1970)*
      Escuadrilla Aeronaval Antisubmarina (<1990)*
      Brazilian Navy:
1/1 Grupo de Aviacao Embarcada (P-16E)<1965)*
      Venezuela:
      Escuadron Antisubmarino (Ven <1970)*
      Royal Australian Navy:
      VS-816 NAS (RAN) (67-85)
      Generic Gull Gray/White*
As can be seen, the SF2 Date Switch if active, and skins will change accordingly. The "Generic Skin" has been decaled for the USN, but with "fictional" markings. As all decal positions are now pre-plotted, other Texture Artists can easily make additional skins and decals The skin template is included; it's stored within the main aircraft folder.
Nearly all marking are decals, with the exception of some national or squadron markings that are painted on due to a "lack of meshes" issue. All serials (BuNum for USN) have been matched as close as possible to their Modex numbers. Any numbers marked with the cross (Plus sign +) could not be matched to each other, but DID serve in the units assigned. In other words, nearly 100% historically correct. The BuNums for VT-28 are also correct, but as I couldn't find which were converted to the trainer, consider them 'generic' in nature.
This mod uses (almost) all stock weapons. I've included the Mk.44 LWASW Torpedo, modifying it's service dates and exportation (after researching, of course). They work very well on Anti-shipping missions. All other weapons use stock 3W items. A new engine sound is also supplied (see "Notes" for install instructions)
I've used the Standard Animation Keystrokes (tm), Shift/9 will fold the wings. Shift/0 (zero) will open the starboard side crew door. The MAD boom and belly radome extend automatically with landing gear retraction. It is fully Carrier Qualified, having been tested on USN, RAN, Argentine and Brazilian Navy CVs.
On the Aircraft selection Dropdown on the Main Screen, you'll see:
      S2F-3S (S-2E) Tracker
This will, of course, keep it differentiated from any other Stoofs that might be flying around.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! You will be adding a sound to your SoundList.ini, as SF2 has some weirdness with engine sounds (expecially in Win10/11).

    15. SF2 HC-130B Hercules USCG (3W/TMF)                   10/25/2025

Another "Found In The Archives" Salvage Job
This is a mod using the skins from a 1stGen (SFP1) mod by The Mirage Factory from 2006. While doing some clean up on my archives, I stumbled across this. Originally, it was for an EC-130V with the fuselage mounted radar rotodome, making use of the stock 3W C-130A lods. As it was painted in US Coast Guard colors, it was a simple matter to NOT add the rotodome, and just convert to a CG SAR and Patrol Bird. Please note, the Real Life B model has 4 bladed props, whilst the 3W A model has only 3 bladed props. Simply, because that was all that was available in 2006.
All textures have been converted to jpg format. All markings are decals, excepting standard USCG painted on colors. This aircraft has 12 100% historically accurate serial numbers (BuNums), all matched to their Modex numbers. As we have no "US Coast Guard" as a stock nation in game, I've assigned it "USN" (sorry Coasties!).
Even though this is more designed for "Eye Candy", you get a new Hangar Screen and engine, flap and landing gear sounds. A cockpit is included, by Dels from his Early Model Herks (tm). Other adjustments have been made, see "Notes" for Change List. The cargo bay door opens with the bomb bay keystroke.
On the Aircraft selection Dropdown on the Main Screen, you'll see:
      HC-130B Hercules (3W/TMF)
This will, of course, keep it differentiated from any other USCG Hercs that might be flying around.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!!
