Updated for SF 2 series by MigBuster and Spinners (July 2009)

The B.mk20 was licence built B.mk2 by the Government Aircraft Factories, Melbourne, Australia. It featured an increased fuel capacity thanks to wing fuel tanks and outer wing pylons were also added.

The B.mk20 was used by the Australian RAAF between around 1966 and 1971 in conflict during the Vietnam war as part of the US 35th TFW.

The version in this pack is the later model with the Avon 109 engines and has outer wing pylons according to pictures ive seen. It is also mentioned that the RAAF could use wingtip racks for extra bombs though not too sure on that.

In 1957 the Royal Rhodesian Air Force ordered 15 B.2s and three T.4s. These were delivered two years later. These were said to have seen action in several regional wars in the area. The version here represents the RRAF from 1971 to 1980. (Rhodesia is now called Zimbabwe)

In 1961 three ex-RAF Canberras were purchased by Germany for trials and experimental use flying with Erprobungstelle 61 - these were delived in 1966.

The RAF's first bomber, the Canberra, had a career spanning over 51 years on the front lines. Chief designer W. Petter had just joined the design team at English Electric when work began on the Canberra. He changed the swept wings of the original design to a more unconventional design with the engines part way out on, and embedded in, the wing. The end sections of the wings were broad and square, and two powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engines completed the design. The crew of two sat side-by-side in a pressurized cabin. With good fuel economy, and excellent maneuverability at all altitudes, the EE.A1 was an instant success.

The prototype was first flown on May 13, 1949, and was problem-free. The first four prototypes were designated the Canberra B.MK 1, and were intended for use with a radar-assisted bomb aiming system. A delay in this system led to the production of a day bomber prototype, the Canberra B.MK 2, and the first operational aircraft were delivered on May 25, 1951.

Around 410 B.mk2s were built for the RAF - some saw action in the 1956 Suez crisis.

      by Ahmed Junaid Raza

Pakistan was the only real foreign user of the B-57, with 24 B-57Bs and two B-57Cs passed on in 1959 under the US Military Assistance Program. From 1963, they were fitted with the RB-1A "Georgia Peach" all-weather bombing system, giving these machines a longer nose. Some of the Pakistani B-57Bs were also modified to allow them to carry four external tanks, permitting them to conduct strikes deep inside India.

Pakistani B-57Bs performed strikes during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, flying 167 sorties, with three lost in combat, but as mentioned destroying three IAF Canberras on the ground. They also saw combat in the brief 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, with reports of four or five lost in combat. The Pakistani B-57s remained in service well into the 1980s, being the last of the breed flying in military colors.

16 B-57Bs were converted to B-57G standard and used in Vietnam from 1970 to 1972
flying from Tailand for the Tropic Moon III project, and was a pioneer in laser
guided technology. The B-57G had built in sensors such as a low light TV system,
FLIR, and a laser giudance system. This enabled it to carry 4 x 500lb Laser guided
bombs and self designate targets for them. The 20mm wing cannons were deleted due
to the weight of the LGBs. 4 bombs were also carried in the bomb bay (unconfirmed).
Its mission was to hunt trucks over the notorious Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The USAF ordered English Electric Canberras as a need to fill a mission gap - however the order could not be fulfilled in the UK so Martin was able to license build Canberras under the B-57 designation.
The B-57A looks similar to the Canberra B mk2 however there were actually many differences - not least the the Wright J65 engines. Due to the bubble canopy, targetting the guns was found to be very difficult, and so the canopy and nose were totally redesigned into what became the B-57B.

The RB-57A was the first real production model of the B-57 with around 67 being built for a photo recon role. They served from 1954 and were withdrawn in the early 1970s. 24 RB-57As were also converted to EB-57As.

The Grumman Tiger was procured in the late 1950s as a hedge against any failure or delay in the F-8 Crusader program. When the Crusader proved a great success, the Tiger became redundant and was quickly phased out of service. It was an agile aircraft and considered to be easy to fly, a factor which led to its adoption by the Blue Angels.

    15. SF2 Republic F-105F/EF-105F Thunderchief Pak by ArmorDave

SF2 Republic F-105F/EF-105F Thunderchief Pak by ArmorDave

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: the destroyed model referenced herein 'looks' for the stock destroyed F-105D lod. So, at
the very least you MUST have either SF2E, or SF2V to gain access to said destroyed model. Hence the Full 4/5 Merged reccomendation*

Some major upgrades to ArmorDave F-105F Thunderchiefs, bring them more in line with SF2 at the
Full-5 Merged/Latest Patch level, as of July 2012.
This mod is desinged to REPLACE any eariler SF2 update/upgrade versions of AD's aircraft that
      may be availalbe.

The package contains 2 complete aircraft:

      F-105F (standard NM finish)
EF-105F Wild Weasel II (SEA camo)

Skins remain in bmp format (as they're not excpetionally large in size), and Decal
Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are the older tga versions.

Both data inis have all new FM parameters, loadouts have been 'adjusted' for Game usage (and
may not reflect Real World situations, but =WILL= reflect Game World situations). New engine
sound, and some other small tweeks. New SF2-style Hangar screens are included.
No weapons are included, other than the drop tanks, as I've referenced all stock 3W items.
See the "Notes" section for more info on the changes.

When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Drop-Down Menu

      F-105F Thunderchief (AD)
      EF-105F Thunderchief

Although the F-105F as used in the Wild Weasel configuraion never actually "officially"
recieved the "EF" moniker, I've done so here to diferentiate it from the standard or garden
      variety F model.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -
READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explinations, clarifactions,
illuminations and so forth. And notes about any SF2V campaign that may use this aircraft; some
slight editing of the campaign ini may be necessary due to the 'name change'.
A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet semi-detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, please give the "Notes" section a read too.

    17. Br.1150 Atlantique

      Br.1150 Atlantique by Velro2k

= For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 RECCOMENDED!!!) =

Re-release of the Veltro2k's Br.1150 Atlantique, now with some updates for SF2:NA.

Inside are the following skin/decal sets:

      French Navy (22 Flottille)
      German Marinefleiger (MFG 3)
      Italian (AMI 41 Stormo)
      Netherlands Navy (MLD 321 Squadron)
      Pakistan AF (29 Squadron)

Many new decals, (expecially the AMI version -with 100% accurate serial numbers-). Decal
randomization is set to TRUE for all the skins. All markings are decals.
A new FM (albeit not perfect, and requiring more tweeking by an expert!), weapons and avionics
enhancements, etc and so forth! A new turbine engine sound, borrowed from Dels Hercs, lots of
      little tweeks and fiddles.
Weapons are included; some you may have already, These all work (as of original release,
3/2012. Some may need additional tweeking/replacement for use in the post July 2102 patch
      level).

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!! Also, give the "Note" section a read, in particular on operational usage.
The Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.

For those that still have the original releases, you need not redownload this pak; you should
have everything within it already. But if you want too ... feel free to do so! :). There HAVE
been changes and additions in several of the inis you may wish to examine, mostly in respect to
      SF2NA.

**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that
cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**.

    18. C-141B Starlifter Replacement/Tweeks Pak

      C-141B Starlifter Replacement/Tweeks Pak

= For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 RECCOMENDED!!!) =

Some remods/tweeks/partial reskinning and new decals for the recently (re)released C-141B
      Starlifter.

It is designed to totally REPLACE the C-141B in the Cargo Planes Pak, so you'll be deleting the
aircraft and decals folder OF the original (re)release, and replace them with these.

All the painted on markings have been removed, and new decals are used in their places. The
tail flash represents the 438th AW out of McGuire AFB. Many other small changes have been
effected; new avionics ini, lights moved (or removed), etc and so forth. Not a full and total
rebuild, just some tweeks for minor improvements. The partial templates I created/used for this
are included. Maybe someone will step up and give us a Lizard Camo.
The skins supplied herein are in jpg format.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!! Also, give the "Notes" section a read, in particular on operational usage.
The Legal Statement has been changed with regards to this aircraft.

    19. SF2 USAF/NATO/Western Cargo Planes by Veltro2K

      SF2 USAF/NATO/Western Cargo Planes by Veltro2K

      -For SF2, Any and All-

This is a re-release of these aircraft, as some have stated a desire to have them again.
This pak includes all my reskins, decals, ini tweeks, etc, from the various "upgrade paks" I'd
released before the aircraft were disappeared.
This pak contains =ONLY= those aircraft used by the USAF, our Allies and other NATO powers. The
Soviet/Warsaw Pact transports are someplace else....

      Included in this pack are:

      C-141A Starlifer
      C-141B Starlifter
      C-5A Galaxy
      C-17 Globemaster III
G-222 Spartan (called such in USAF service)

Some may be more complete than others, with regards to decals and such. Some are fairly
'untouched', and will need further decaling, etc. Some hangar and loading screens are NOT in
SF2 format, and will need redoing (meaning: I never got around to them!).
All the original readmes from the Upgrade Paks (I could find!) are included within this main
folder. I'd reccomend reading them, just for fun!
Skin and some decal templates (again, when I could find them!) are included. The decal template
is for the "ttag" decal, that is for USAF AMC usage.
This pak is quite large, as the skins remain in their bmp format. You can convert to jpg at you
      convience.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read
them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for other important notations. Also, the Legal
Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.

For those that still have the original releases, you may not need to reapply this package. But,
to be safe, PLEASE check over your aircraft to be sure. Thank You :).

**These aircraft herein are re-released in "AS IS" Condition. There are/may be some issues with
the LODs that may not/cannot be resolved. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be
solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created. For now.**

    21. RF-84F Thunderflash Superpack

      Discussion and screenshots here

      NOTICES :

This mod is NOT released under the Combat Ace Freeware Licensing Agreement (http://combatace.com/topic/55729-freeware-licensing/) as it includes content NOT subjected to it.

      The only content you can reuse freely following the CA Freeware Licensing are the SKINS and DECALS as they are my creation based on freely released template or from scratch;
For all the rest you MUST contact the original author beforehand.

      ----------------------------------

      PREREQUISITES :

To my knowledge you only need SF2:E, however you might also need the Exp2, if you have finflashes not showing, just tell me and I'll include mine rather than using TW's.

This should work without trouble with NATO Fighters 5 (however the versions already included in NF5 have a slightly different file organization and naming convention).

This mod should not rewrite anything except itself and the relevant campaign files.

      ----------------------------------

      GLOBAL NOTES :

All planes marked with a * in the numbers list are considered historically correct, all others are as correct as sources allow, at worst they come from the pool of planes available to the nation in the given timeframe and bear possibly existing squadron numbers.

There's a topic on CA (http://combatace.com/topic/68436-rf-84f-thunderflash-request-for-information-and-superpack-wip/) tracking my progress and meant to receive any feedback and information you might want to share.

      ----------------------------------

      NOTES FOR 1956 :

The Suez and Norwegian skins are bonuses and not useful for a Europe '56 campaign.

I initially planned of including slightly anachronistic camouflage versions for Belgium and Netherlands, however, given the time needed for the operation and the fact that the campaign takes place in the heart of winter, camouflage would have made no sense.

If you feel the need to properly install the Squadrons, you should add the following to your SQUADRONLIST.INI (if they squadrons are not already there), but everything is set up to work without it.

      -----

      FRANCE, SUEZ

All serial numbers involved in Suez are correct, 8 squadron numbers are attributed to the proper plane, 3 were used at Akrotiri but randomly assigned, the rest are randomly chosen from the most probable squadron numbers at the time.

      FRANCE

French RF-84F in late 1956 would have been stationned at Cognac, but would probably have been detached in Alsace or Germany in case of conflict, one squadron relieving the previous, given the involvement in Operation 700 and the readiness of the squadrons in late 1956, the order of detachement would have been ER 2/33 first then ER 3/33 and finally ER 1/33 (remember, the last planes reached France from Cyprus in late December, and the last ground personnel and equipment in early January 1957, so even accounting for a rushed move, the attrition of planes and personnel would mean they'd probably take no part in the conflict unless it lasted into the Spring of 1957).

      US

3 or 4 stripes of different colors denote a plane assigned to the Wing Commander, 2 stripes or the same color to the Squadron Leader and 1 stripe to a Flight Leader.

      ----------------------------------

      OPTIONAL ASSEMBLY REQUIRED :

These planes are meant to use specific pilots however this is strictly optional, if you don't add them, the game will use the default pilot, so it's only a matter of adding more pilot variety and a more authentic feel to things.
To respect the LOD author's wish not to have a situation where his work might be unknowingly used without proper attribution or worse you'll have to download the pilots separately or as part of the packs in which they are bundled.

All are based on Old Diego's pilot, with skins by Corktip14 for the French version, ravenclaw_007 for the German ones.

For USAF and ROCAF planes, you'll need the KUSAF01 pilot from Diego's pilot pack : http://combatace.com/files/file/9197-diegos-pilot-pack/
For French planes, you'll need the Guen312 pilot from the Israel 48/56 mod : http://combatace.com/files/file/11024-1948-war-for-independence1956-suez-crisis/
For German planes, you'll need the PilotGAF pilot from the German Pilots pack : http://combatace.com/files/file/9210-german-air-force-pilot%C2%B4s/
For other planes, you'll need the Euro001 pilot included with NATO Fighters 4+ Update 1 : http://combatace.com/files/file/11099-nato-fighters-4-patch-post-dec-2009-patch-level/

      ----------------------------------

UPDATING YOUR FORMOSA FREEDOM CAMPAIGN v1.1

The necessary campaign files have been modified to add the Taiwanese RF-84F, just overwrite the original files.

Due to JonathanRL's way of implementing squadrons (without a proper squadron list) I've had to use a specific variant for Taiwan rather than use it as a skin for the US variant, as should be.
It also means that unless you add the squadrons properly, the ROCAF 4th CRS will appear show up as a USAF unit (without impact on anything else than text displayed on the loadout screen).
It was the best compromise to be both working with Formosa Freedom and still be compatible with the standard implementation.

At the moment I'm not interested in providing a package solely for that purpose.

      ----------------------------------

UPDATING YOUR 1956 SUEZ CRISIS CAMPAIGN v2.1

The necessary campaign files have been modified to use the updated RF-84F, just overwrite the original files.

Be aware that it will leave the RF-84F using my old naming convention in place, it's up to you to delete it if it creates confusion in single mission play.

At the moment I'm not interested in providing a package solely for that purpose.

1 Silver skin for 303rd TRS (USAFE), 17 planes, circa late 1956, Spangdahlem, DE

      ----------------------------------

      KNOWN ISSUES :

      - The spoilers are not part of the model and are only painted on.
      - The brake chute fairing is there even on early models.
      - Some skins are not "right" due to subtle mapping problems and a model not 100% accurate.
      - Some parts inherit the global skin lighting values instead of having these set to fixed values.
      - There may be some decal bleeding on lower visual settings as in some cases I only leave a 1 pixel margin.

      ----------------------------------

      WHAT'S TO COME :

      - Some more panel changes and details
      - Normal and specular maps, maybe, when/if Florian has the time and motivation to do so
      - 15th TRS and 45th TRS PACAF planes
      - 1962 and 1968 European planes
      - Greek, Turkish and Italian planes
      - 1955, 1957 variants for USAFE, various others (French early camo trials, Luftwaffe WS50...)
      - Templates and full documentation
      - NF5 updates
      - Version specific hangars and loading screens
      - Integration of feedback

A huge thanks to all the modders allowing me to bundle their work with my skins or taking the time to explain why they'd rather not, to eburger68 for his work on NATO Fighters motivating me to get back to work and of course to CA and TK for a wonderful toy and the community to go with it.

If I forgot someone or believe I've included your work without proper credits, permissions or respect for your terms of use, do not hesitate to contact me on Combat Ace forums.

    22. Mitsubishi F1 and T2 Remod Pak by Veltro2K

      Mitsubishi F1 and T2 by Veltro2K

      = For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 RECCOMENDED/Prefered!!!) =

This is a Re-release of the Veltro2k's JASDF aircraft.
These had been removed at one point, and I'm now reissuing them for any that might want them or whatever.
For more detailed info, both the original readmes from my 2010 and 2011 tweeks pak are included. You might want to give them a look see, as both contain pertinant information, as well as all the credits.

Weapons are included (the JASDF EO bomb and drop tanks); most of the others reference Stock Items.Decal randomization is TRUE. Skins for both are in jpg format.

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Note" section a read, in particular, as the Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.

**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**.

      Happy Landings!

(I thought I'd re-uploaded earlier this year, but found I'd never finished assembling the pak! Enjoy!)

    23. SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

      = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!!) =

*Note: this aircraft will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Games are ANY patch level. This
aircraft was (re)designed and (re)built and (re)tested in SF2NA and Full5 Merged installs*

A brand new, replacement aircraft for the previous 1stGen conversions. Through the hard
work of several, people, being named here FIRST, instead of further down in the Credits
(well, they're listed there, too, of course!)
Zur (the Great and Powerful) for giving me the uncompleted MAX files, and RussoUK for
finishing and polishing the LOD for SF2 useage. You guys ROCK!!

This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. Like the original SF2 pak,
it contains all the skin/decal sets I could find, combined into one big lump. This package
is designed to REPLACE, in total, any and ALL other previouse FJ-3M Furys.

Skins included in the pak are:

      VF-53 from ??
VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis
VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57
VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57
      VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956
VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956
VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish)
      VMF-333 from ???

Skins are a mixture of both bmp and JPG, and Decal randomization is also set to TRUE.
Damage textures are in DDS format (same as the Sabre). The aircraft is now bump mapped,
      for that nice metalic look.

A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to
completly Navalize it. The canopy, now functional, opens with the Standard Animation
Keystroke, Shift/0. AT this time, wingfold in NOT functional. The data ini statements
refelct this for carrier on-deck parking.
Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar-
ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen.
The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, as per the July 2012 patch level. No weapons are
included; all stock items are called out. The new drop tanks are built into the aircraft's
LOD, ala SF2 3W birds. The weapons data IS included, of course.
Sounds are all reused from the KAW Sabres, as is the NEW cockpit (also from the KAW F-86F)

As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install
instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! <g>

      Happy Landings!!

    24. SF2I DLC 28 IDFAF S-199 Mule Tweek Pak

SF2I DLC 28 IDFAF S-199 Mule Tweek Pak

      = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED + DLC 28!)

*Designed for use in the standard/stand alone SF2:I Mods folder (suggested usage)*

**IF you do NOT have DLC 28, do not download this mod. It will be of no use to you
      whatsomeever**

This pak contains some "quick and dirty" mods for the S-199 "Mezek" (or Mule) recently
      released in DLC #28

Now a flyable aircraft, with the included cockpit. 25 Historicaly accruate serial number
decals, and NEW SF2 style Hangar and loading screens in my World Famous Box Art Style
      ™.
Loadout has been adjusted to add the 300 ltr drop tank, a different pilot figure,
AvHistory Jumo engine sound. Canopy activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke,
Shift/0. FM remains "as issued". See "Changes" in the Note section below for more stuff.
Also included is my "One Click Restore" (patent pending) main ini for when it becomes AI-
      only again.

      When in-game, you'll see

      S-199 (3W)

on the aircraft selection drop-down menu. This will differentiate it from the S-199 by
MontyCZ (an excellent mod, btw!), in case you may have that one as well. If you DO have
Monty's, you may want to rename it's folder and main ini to further differentiate it.
Otherwise you WILL experience conflicts/problems/issues/and assorted troubles.

As always, other improvements and changes/fixes are welcomed! As I said above, it's just a
Q&D mod to get them flying so others can help out with any needed/wanted/whatever tweeks
      and fixes.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE
      read them!!!

      Happy Landings!

    25. SF2 E-767 AWAC and KC-767 Cargo/Refueler Aircraft by Veltro2K

      SF2 E-767 AWAC and KC-767 Cargo/Refueler Aircraft by Veltro2K

      = For SF2, Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED! =

This is a Re-release of the Veltro2k's KC and E-767 aircraft.

It is REQUIRED that you have -at the VERY minimum- a Full-4 merged install. However, the AWACs makes use of SF2NA coding, and is NA is REQUIRED for everything to (more of less) work properly. Also, as these reference the stock 3W destroyed model (closest fit in shape, but not size...). Hence, the need for a Full 5 Merged install. It is usable without, but you may not have the dead burning wreckage on the ground.

Included in this pack are the:
      E-767 AWAC:
      602 AACS, JASDF

      KC-767 Refuler/Cargo Carrier:
      14 Stormo, AMI
      401 Squadron, JASDF

Skins remain in their bmp format; the KC-767 makes use of Brain32's trick of having the one skin, resued for both, residing in MAIN aircraft folder. Decal radomization is set to TRUE (well, there's 4 aircraft for each user!). A user list is supplied for the KC-767.
New damage textures are supplied, in DDS format. The skins have been 'partly' redone. The partial template I used in included. Other skinners are encouraged to 'have at it'
While this mod IS supplied with a cockpit, the Standard Waring Disclaimer ™ for these High Value Assets ™ remains: let the AI handle them. As AFR isn't part of the game ... the word we're looking for is "eye candy".

As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Also, give the "Note" section a read, in particular on operational usage.
The Legal Statement has been changed with regards to these aircraft.
For those that still have the original releases, as there HAVE been changes and additions in several of the inis you may wish to examine, mostly in respect to SF2NA, you may wish to replace the originals with these.

**These aircraft herein are released in "AS IS" Condition. Any and all issues/problems that cannot be solved via ini edits will exist forever, as new models are unlikely to be created**.

      Happy Landings!
