    1. SF2 WW2 Douglas TBD-1 Devastator Tweeks Pak (DAT)

SF2 WW2 Douglas TBD-1 Devastator Tweeks Pak (DAT)

      For SF2, Full-5 Merged (RECCOMENDED!!!)

*Designed for use in a PTO-centric mods folder built =FROM= the SF2:NA exe. NA coding is required for some statements I've changed/added.*
**This mod will NOT work in 1stGen SF/Wo* game installs. Those that attempt to do so, do so at their own risk. No support is/will be available. The skins will most likely work in SF/Wo*, if they are converted BACK to bmp from DDS. This has not, and cannot be tested by me. You have been warned/advised**
Those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you.

This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, consisting of mostly skins, decals, inis and various and sundry other needed bits and parts.
This package contains a rebuild of my skins for the Dev A-Team's Douglas TBD Devestator naval attack/torpedo bomber.
It is desinged to be used with their latest lod,

TBD1A-R1.lod (dated 9/21/2011, make sure you get the Gen2 version!!)

The skins have been partly redone to match the new mapping, and are in DDS format.
Included are several modified inis, that correct/add/change some things. You are advised to BACKUP any/all originals. The Install instructions list which and what to delete or backup.

This package contains nearly 100% historical skins and decal markings for US Navy TBDs as seen at both the Battle of the Coral Sea, and The Battle of Midway; their hour of greatest Triumph and Tragedy. I say 'nearly' 100%, as I couldn't quite get some of the wear-and-tear and fabric effects on the skin exactly as they should be, or as I wanted. Also, the BuNums for the VT-2 skin are not 100% match to Modex. Colors have been FS matched, as best as possible, to BuAer spec.

      The units depicted are...

      Battle of the Coral Sea:

      VT-2 USS LEXINGTON

      Battle of Midway:

      VT-3, USS YORKTOWN
      VT-6, USS ENTERPRISE
      VT-8, USS HORNET

Unfortnately, I was unable to accurately 'pin down' the modex-to-BuNms-to-crew for VT-2 at Coral Sea. (I HAVE the crew listings, but not the BuNums)
For the Midway Devestator squadrons, Modex and BuNums have been matched =EXACTLY= to their partiuclar aircraft, exactly as placed within each division of each squadron on each ship represented here. A number list for each squadron is included, with the crew names for each aircraft. Their names will show on the Loadout screen.
Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins (which it actually shouldn't be -- the Midway Devestator's numbers.lst has them in their historicaly correct order). New damage textures, in DDS format, are supplied, as is an 'new' engine sound from the AvHistory set.
NOTE: for VT-3, #s 13 & 14 were spare aircraft, that went down with YORKTOWN when she was sunk; research seems to indicate they did not participate in the Battle.
Each skin's paint chip is the historically correct Squadron Patch.
New 'box art' style Hangar Screens are included; The Loading screen artwork depicts Ens. George Gay's attack on AKAGI (the sole survivor of VT-8 whom I had to honor of meeting some years ago)
Included is the new Mk.13 torpedo by Veltro2K

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! In fact, it would be better if one unzipped this archive FIRST, and read all the instructions BEFORE installing this mod. It will make things go easier.
All original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes.

      Good Luck, and Good Hunting!

ps: I wanted to get this out by June 4, the anniversery of the Battle of Midway. I had NO idea the DAT would be releasing their All-Inclusive PTO until last night. This in no way changed my plans; but may make it easier for you all to use this.

    2. SF2 WW2 DH TigerMoth by RussoUK

SF2 WW2 DH TigerMoth by RussoUK

      -- Something for Anyone --

      = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

A new version of the DH Tigermoth, as seen in WW2 and the immeadiate post-war time frames.
This version now has (at no extra charge!!) bump mapping! There are 2 lods included; the one
set for use now has more subtle bumpping; the other a bit LESS subtle.

2 skins are inlucded, slightly revamped (read: partly repainted), and now with individual
Plane-in-group numbers/letters and serial number decals for:

"Camo": standard RAF day trainer scheme (I guess!); darkearth/green/yellow unders
"Silver": post-war, silver doped, from University of London Air School (iirc)

Most of the markings are painted on, with the exception of the Silver skin. All decals
positions have been plotted, which will make it easier for End Users that wish to, to create
other countries markings. A new Userlist.ini is included (for the most popular users, not
      all are listed).
An SF2 version of my original 'box art' hangar is included, in jpg format.
The partial template is also included. It's in the main aircraft folder for other skinners
      to 'have at it'.
This will give your fledgling flyers something to practice in. And it's a nice change to
just buzz around the countryside with, every once and a while.

**Note: this version is designed to REPLACE any/all previous versions!!**

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please
read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

      Happy Landings!!

      with many thanks to Russ!!

Edit: new version uploaded. The "Lewis Gun" now has the textures that were missing before

    3. SF2 WW2 PTO RAAF Kittyhawk Mk.IA Pak

      SF2 WW2 PTO RAAF Kittyhawk Mk.IA Pak

-- Something for the WW2 PTO players --

      = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: this pak MAY be usable in 1stGen SF/Wo* game installs. However, some features (decal randomization) will NOT be functional. Use in 1stGens has not, and cannot be, tested by me.*

**Notex2: this mod is designed for use ONLY in a PTO-Centric mods folder**

A first, I was just going to do a simple skin/decals pack. But with all the "modifications" made to fit (better) into SF2, in particular the 5/2013 patch level (oi!), chose to take the "lazy man's way out" and just upload the entire aircraft.

When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop-down, you'll see

      Kittyhawk Mk.1A (Raven)

This will diferentiate this for any other Kittyhawks you may (or may not) have.
This is the full aircraft, "nationalized" for Australian use, as stated above, with my 'tweeked' sf2-ish data ini (and a backuped copy of the original too!). The skin included is for...

      No.75 Squadron, RAAF

as seen from mid/late April 1942 in the Port Moresby, PNG area

Skins remain in their bmp format.
New DDS damage textures (usable on all Raven's Warhawk/Kittyhawk in SF2 only) are included!
New aircraft plane-in-group letter decals, and RAAF serials - 95% historically accurate - matched to the individual letter, are included. On the numberlist, those marked with a star (*) have been postively confirmed to have served in 75 Squadron.

All markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. There are no nose arts. Also, via the use of my (patent pending) fake SqTail decal, the squadron name display is now active on the Loadout Screen.
No weapons are included, except an SF2 Version of the drop tank (for those that haven't converted it yet). New theatre-specific Hangar and Loading screens are included, too.

The skins have been run through the template (thank you Raven for that!), and have had a layer of dirt and 'clouds' added for weathering.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!

    4. SF2 WW2 PTO/CBI Nakajima Ki-44 Tojo by Geo

      SF2 WW2 PTO/CBI Nakajima Ki-44 Tojo by Geo

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a possibility that this mod will =MAY= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs at any patch level. However, due to some/many of modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment, not all features will be active.*

** Notex2: The aircraft herin have several different skins ... for the CBI, SoWesPac (ie: Dutch East Indies), (semi) Central Pacific (read: Phillipines), Home Islands defense. I've tried to tag them as best as I can. If running seperate CBI and general PTO mods folders, you may want to seperate them out, or move the texture listing around to fit your usage. **

This model seems to be either the Ki-44-Ib, Ic or IIB, as it carries the 4 12.7mm machine guns. I chose to call it the "Ic".
Skins within the pack are the originals from Geo's 1stGen release. They are (as bes as I can ID them):

      23 Sentai
      29 Sentai (PI)
      47 Sentai
      50 Sentai, 1 Chutai (CBI)
      85 Sentai (CBI -china mostly)

23 & 47 both carry the 'white bandage' marking that usually denote Home Islands Defense, but some units around Pelambang, NEI also carried them.

New (semi)compliant SF2 FM was cobbled together. As has become expected, the FM is NOT perfect, and needs further fine-tuning by Experts. A New SF2 style "box art" hangar screen, Geo's original 2 loading screens, converted to jpg, so you can switch to whichever one you like better. Weapons (drop tanks and bombs), guns, a pilot figure and engine sounds are included. All skins remain in their original bmp format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE (for the few number decals we have). As is usual, all lighting is 100% historically correct.
The canopy has been switched to the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0.
Damage textures are new, in DDS format.

As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. All original readmes are included for historical purposes (when discoverable from the archives)

    5. SF2 WW2 ETO Hawker Typhoon Mk.1B (DAT)

      SF2 WW2 ETO Hawker Typhoon Mk.1B (DAT)

      = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!)

**This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me.**

This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Hawker Typhoon IB as seen in the ETO
This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included (pretty much!).
Those users with access, =WILL= be transfering the lod from a seperate DAT download of the Hawker Typhoon IB.

This mod has been built and tested with the...

      Typhoon-R11.lod (dated 8/3/2005

from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section.

This pacakge contains the (almost) complete aircraft, and two skins.
      You'll have:

      No. 175 Squadron (code HH)
No. 609 Squadron "West Riding" (code PR)

The skins are completly new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and remains in bmp format. New decals were created for Squadron Code letters, serials, plane-in-group letters and others.
The serials are pooled, and are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the unit(s) depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Colors are FS matched as close as possible. When possible, the Squadron Crest is used for the 'paint chip' on the loadout screen.
All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.

My 1stGen original "Box Art" style Hangar and/or Loading screens have been rebuilt to SF2-spec for this package. They are in jpg format. Damage textures are new, in DDS format.
Also included, is a new drop tank, by Raven, with a built in pylon (as it's missing from the aircraft model itself). See Notes for more on loadouts.
The rockets and guns you should already have, so they are NOT included.
The canopy has been switched to the Standare Manual Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0.
The FM may need further small adjustments (ok, maybe more than a little...).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!
All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes.
It is HIGHLY suggested you unzip this archive FIRST, and READ the install instructions BEFORE installing this mod. So you know EXACTLY what to do..

    7. SF2 WW2 PTO B-17F Flying Fortress Pak

      SF2 WW2 PTO B-17F Flying Fortress Pak

-- Something for the WW2 PTO players --

      = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

**Note: Having any SF2 series game is HIGHLY reccomended, as this mod references the stock destroyed An-12. Also, due to modifications to various inis, this mod will probably -NOT- work in 06 level 1stGen game installs. 08 Level 1stGens may have some issues, but this has not/cannot be tested by me.**

This is a "Theatre Specific" release of Veltro2K's B-17F Flying Fortress Heavy Bomber. This package =ONLY= represents Forts used in the PTO/SoWesPac region.

To eliminate any confusion with any other B-17Fs you may (or may not) have, your in-game displayed name will read "B-17F Flying Fortress (V2K)"

There is 1 skins/decal set in this pack:

AAF42/43 - OD/G representing aircraft when first they first arrived in Theatre (star/ball insignia). This scheme, and insignia, was used throughout the (rather short) service life of the Fortress in the SoWesPac region. Research has NOT turned up any evidence they ever recieved the "star-and-bar" insigina before being phased out of the PTO.

The Skin is in jpg format. All new (theatre specific) serial number decals were created. The serials ARE historically accurate (100%), for those aircraft assigned to the SWP from the first 300 F models deployed worldwide. One may consider the serials as 'generic' in nature, as they represent none of the Bomb Groups/Squadron of the region, but =ARE= correct for the model depicted, and theatre deployed to.
All markings are decals. All lighting is historically correct. Damage textures are in DDS format.
There are =NO= nose arts. Those with the desire (and talent) are encouraged to do the necessary legwork on research, running down the correct match between nose art and serial number.

It should be noted, do =NOT= use this mod in an MTO or ETO-centric mods folder; the Pacific Fortress' (Fortressi?) is slightly different!

Engine sounds, pilot figures, BRAND new "Box Art" style Hangar screen (in SF2 jpg format) are included. Operational service dates are rounded to 'whole months', and ARE relatively correct for PTO usage ("Eaker wants them for Europe")

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! PLEASE read the "Notes" section for other important notations.

    8. Vought Corsair MK.4, RN Fleet Air Arm, by Mod Mafia/TMF

Vought Corsair MK.4, RN Fleet Air Arm, by Mod Mafia/TMF 7/17/2013

      = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod =MAY= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment. End Users ™ that attempt to do so, do so at their own risk. A Full 4/5 Merged install is reccomened. At very minimum, SF2:V is required, as this aricraft references the A-1H's destroyed model. Also, some of the SF2 only "switches" will NOT work in 1stGens.*

*Note #2: this model will REPLACE, in it's entirety, those using Wolf's as a base. You may (well, should!) delete that mod completly; both the aircraft and decals folders. These, again, will replace them.*

A brand "new" model that was never completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia.

This will complete the set of TMF/MM WW2 Corsairs.

This is the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Corsair Mk.4 (with clipped wingtips) as seen 1944 and later aboard RN carriers in the Pacific Ocean (ie: BPF).

      Skin/Decals are included are for:

      1830 NAS, BPF, HMS Illustirous

      1841 NAS, BPF, HMS Formidible

Both skins are in 'standard' Fleet Air Arm (ie: USN) Dark Blue Overall.
All skins are in jpg format.
A new-ish SF2 'box art' style hangar screen was (re)created for this aircraft. Damage textures are the old tga versions.
Decals are used for all markings, and Randomization is set to TRUE. This will make it easier for other skinners to recreate other Air Groups by simple making a new "TLet" decal.

The aircraft is fully carrier capable. The canopy operates via the Standard Animation Keystorke ™ of Shift/0. Like the other MM/TMF Corsairs, the wingfold operates via the "airbrakes" key. This is why they do not show folded when parked on deck.

All lighting is historically accurate. WW2 weapons (ie: bombs, rockets) are included. Even though you may have them already. The pilot figure and engine sounds are included(which you may also have already!).

      When 'in game', you'll see

      "Corsair Mk.IV FAA (TMF)"

in the aircraft selection drop-down window. This will diferentiate it from any other Mk.IVs you may (or may not) have.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!

    12. Grumman F8F Bearcat

The Bercat was the swansong of USN piston-engine planes.
Geo made a fantastic plane and I asked him to upgrade and fix,
but he's out of modding and not aswered my request to share
source files to allow someonelse to do it.
At last I decided to upload the skins I made and the old ones
      I upgraded.
The plane tunded for SF-2 has shadows turned off due the ropes I'ld like to cut.
But the pilot and the included weapons naven't shadow too, so
maybe it's not so bad to look at.
Anyway take it as is, if you like.
      It's old but quite gold.

      What's in:

      8 - French Indochina Skins
      1 - NVPAF Skins
      3 - USN skins
      4 - RTAF skins

      - SF-2 last patch upgrade

      - Geo

      Install:

      Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor
The Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor, also known as Kurier to the Allies was a German all-metal four-engine monoplane originally developed by Focke-Wulf as a long-range airliner. A Japanese request for a long-range maritime patrol aircraft led to an upgraded design that would see service with the Luftwaffe as a long-range reconnaissance and anti-shipping/maritime patrol bomber aircraft, as well as a transport aircraft for troops and VIPs.

    19. Lisunov Li-2 Cab

The Lisunov Li-2, originally designated PS-84 (NATO reporting name "Cab"),
was a license-built version of the Douglas DC-3. It was produced by Factory #84

The project was directed by aeronautical engineer Boris Pavlovich Lisunov.

    20. SK-16_Harvard for SF2 and SF1

Swedish SK-16 Harvard updated skins for SF2 AND SF1 Series
      ==========================================================
      Credits
      =======
      Model by Bunyap
      Skin template by Ariell
Cockpit by Wolf with some re-texturing by Charles and Wrench
      Pilot by Geo
Flight model, data files by Charles

      Installation
      ============
      SF2 series users:
As usual.Install the Objects to your Objects in the MOD folder.
The Sound file PropLoop2.WAV goes in your Sounds folder, if you don't already have it there.
      SF1 series users:
Put the Aircraft/SK-16_Harvard folder in yor Objects/Aircraft folder
put the FILES in Pilots folder to your Objects/Aircraft folder
Then put the RSAFyellow and RSAFgreen folders from extras/forSF1series in yor Objects/Aircraft/SK-16_Harvard
      and let the files overwrite.
(There is a problem with the decals since there was a max no of decals per mesh
but one way of fixing this is to use the "prepainted insignia versions" located in extras/for_sf1series/)

NOTE: To get correct squadron numbers you need to fix the SQUADRONLIST.INI in the PilotData folder.
This is my "default" where the swedish squadrons is index 378-394. (This is as far as I know the standard sqlist from sf2 series)
The squadron numbers need to match the decal's imagenames (the number part of the name) in the Decal folder.

      History
      =======
The (North American/Noorduyn AT-16) SK-16 Harvard was an advanced trainer in the Swedish airforce from 1945-1974 !

      Greetings to the SF1 SF2 Community !

    22. Seafire MkIII (Modified), Irish Air Corps

Seafire MkIII (Modified), No.1 Sqn, Irish Air Corps, 1947 - 1955

      Completely new version.

The Irish Air Corps bought 12 Seafires in 1947; these were denavalised by removing the 'hook' and at least in most cases, locking the wing-fold joints. They were numbered from 146 to 157. There is still considerable debate among the Irish aviation historians as to the precise colour used; they were clearly painted overall with a greenish-grey shade, possibly MAP Light Slate Grey. No detailled information is available.

I have included the serials for the 6 Spitfire T.MkIX aircraft also acquired by the Irish Air Corps, in order to make up a suitable minimum number of decals. These go from 158 to 163.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

    23. Spitfire MkVb, VCS-7, US Navy, June 1944

      Spitfire MkVb, VCS-7, US Navy, 5th - 26th June 1944.

Because of the high vulnerability of the SOC and OS2U spotter aircraft normally carried on board US Navy cruisers and battleships, it was felt that naval artillery spotters during the landings in Normandy would need aircraft better able to defend themselves against German fighters. As a result, 17 pilots were drawn from the cruisers CA 31 Augusta, CA 37 Tuscaloosa, CA 71 Quincy and the battleships BB 33 Arkansas, BB 35 Texas and BB 36 Nevada; they were affected to the Air Spotting Pool, based at RNAS Lee-on-Solent, along with two RAF Spitfire squadrons, Nos. 26 and 63, and four FAA Seafire squadrons, Nos.808, 885, 886 and 897.

      VCS-7 became operational on 28th May 1944.

During operations, all aircraft were pooled, which meant that in fact, any pilot from any of the seven Spitfire/Seafire units could find himself flying any Spitfire or Seafire available, regardless of any theoretical 'ownership'. As a rule, aircraft operated in pairs, one spotting, the other covering.

After three weeks of highly successful operations, VCS-7 was stood down on 26th June as the fighting moved beyond the range of the ships' guns.

As they were on temporary loan from the RAF, all the aircraft used by VCS-7 retained their RAF markings.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

    25. Seafire MkIII, No.887 NAS, Fleet Air Arm, 1945

Seafire MkIII, No.887 Naval Air Squadron Fleet Air Arm, HMS Indefatigable, Okinawa, April 1945 - Japanese Coast, August 1945.

It is a little known fact that aircraft of the Royal Navy British Pacific Fleet fought at Okinawa and participated in the final air attacks on the Japanese mainland.

All serial numbers included in this package correspond to Seafire MkIII aircraft which served with 887 NAS at some point between late 1944 and the end of the War. Where possible, known individual numbers have been allocated to the correct aircraft. These are marked with an asterisk in the loadout menu.

Alternative lower resolution (1024x1024) skin files are included.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.
