Since we don't have a F/A-18E or F model, I thought I would do some on the "A" model.
I didn't do this to start a tomcat vs hornet flame war. Just thought it would be fun and a challenge to do.
Thanks and credit to Team Hornet for the model.
Read Me file included in the zip... so please READ IT!!

This skin is intended for use with the MDD F/A-18A add-on from the Mirage Factory and Flying Toaster.
It is a representation of an F/A-18A from VFA-204 "River Rattlers". I was inspired to make this skin by seeing one of the planes at an airshow. The pilot names are all actual pilots' names (former squadron commanders), though the callsigns are fictional.
Skin is based on the originals by Column 5 and USAFMTL.
Updated parts include:
Additional/corrected panel lines
Corrected wheels
New landing gear doors and bays
Detailed missle stations and weapon pylons
Various new parts like cockpit and engine textures.
Just drop the VFA204 folder into your FA-18A folder and go flying!

This skin is intended for use with the MDD F/A-18A add-on from the Mirage Factory and Flying Toaster.
It is a scheme worn by a couple of F/A-18As from VMFA-115 "Silver eagels". the scheme has changes a few times over the past couple of years (the a/c number changed from 200 to 201 when the squadron rotated to land-based); this is a representation of a later version which includes the wing stripes. The name on the speed brake is Capt “Puj” Hooks. It is in memory of former pilot Capt. Franklin Hooks II, assigned to the “Silver Eagles”, who died in 2004.

It is the CAG (Commander Air Group) colors for the VFA-131 "Wildcats" squadron. There are several variations of this paint scheme; this is the "blue" one.
Just drop the VFA131CAG folder into your FA-18A folder and go flying!

This is my first skin for Flying Toaster's F/A-18A model. VFA-146 does not fly 'The Rhino' yet, so I thought it would be great.
The details are not perfect. The camo scheme does not blend in some places, but it still looks good. Thanks to Jarink for his template, and Flying Toaster for his model.

All credit to the maker(s) of the hornet model.
As with all my skins, you must ask my permission to use it in projects or modify it in anyway.
A PM here will get you what you need.
Simply add the skin as you would any other skin in your F-18A folder.

409 squadron reactivation July 6 2006
Hello. Here's another skin for Saguanay's sweet CF188. This is the modern skin for the 409 TFS based at 4 wing Cold Lake.
To get the ID light to work add this to the end of the FA-18A_DATA file:
[identificationlight]
SystemType=LIGHT
Position=-0.497,4.975,-0.110
LightSrcOffset=-0.070,0.00,0.00
Color=0.66,0.66,0.6
Brightness=0.15
LightSrcRange=150
LightRange=45.0
CanFlash=FALSE
IsLandingLight=FALSE
//or TRUE if u prefer
Ideally it would be nice to link this light with a key or animation if it's possible. It's not perfect, but still fun, though.
Thanks to Saganuay for his wicked-awesome CF188. How many hours have I spent in that thing!
Thanks to Jarink for his permission to use his great template.
Thanks to all those involved in the whole F-18 package.
