Longestpants Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) In the spirit of this fabulous topic HERE, I present this idea. What are your top five guitar solos? My choices: 1. The Beatles (and of course Eric Clapton) - While My Guitar Gently Weeps 2. The Eagles - Hotel California 3. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven 4. Journey - Don't Stop Believin' 5. Lion - The Transformers (Theme) Edited May 25, 2008 by Longestpants Quote
tank03 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 This would be my top ten; though it changes daily depending on my mood. I also feel that some Alvin Lee should be in there somewhere but I just can't pick out just one. 1. David Gilmour (Pink Floyd): Comfortably Numb 2. Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin): Stairway to Heaven 3. Eddie Van Halen (VH): Eruption 4. Stevie Ray Vaughan: Texas Flood 5. Jimi Hendrix: Little Wing 6. Slash (Guns 'n Roses): Sweet Child O' Mine 7. Eric Johnson: Cliffs of Dover 8. Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme): Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee 9. David Gilmour (Pink Floyd): Shine On You Crazy Diamond 10. "Keef" Richards (Rolling Stones): Sympathy for the Devil Quote

krgf15 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 In the Still of the Night gets a mention. If youre talking about Whitesnake, The guitarist were Vivian Cambell and Adrian Vandenberg. Vivian Cambell has an awesome resume, starting with Dio, then to Whitesnake, then replacing the late Steve Clark in Def Leppard until this very day Quote
+column5 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 If you guys haven't heard it, you should definately pick up David Gilmore's recent album On An Island for more of his incredible guitar work. Quote
