+Julhelm Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 You can do korean bevels around things and get away with single smoothing group :)
+SkateZilla Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 By the way, a big shout out to Sundowner and EricJ. Due to some smart archiving on their part, we were able to recover the MAX file and continue to upgrade the model from Oli's already high standard. FC What did you do, Buy his Harddrive and run Recovery on it?

+Stary Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 Stary dude, you need to start smoothing things... Jules, what is the poly count for that pit? Cause I need to save some for smoothing things
+Julhelm Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 It's less than 30k. Don't bother using turbosmooth or anything. Just add edgeloops close to the edge and it'll make it appear smoother.

Svetlin Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Who likes Trainers?!?!?! Me ... a Simple Fakepilot, but for me its ok, if there is some interest I could map it and upload it here Me too I am patiently waiting for your Su-22UM3 Please share this one as well.
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) The second pilot sits "in" the fuselage, basemodel is Su-7BMK (TK) and it has some shortcomings with the fakepilot. So If you are still happy with those short comings, than I can finish it Edited February 8, 2012 by 76.IAP-Blackbird

exhausted Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Haha nice! Also nice Falcon model! Semi-OT: The AI really does not use those blinders or other bombers to their advantage, esp regarding speed. It would be nice if SF2NA introduces supersonic bombers which actually attack at super-sonic speeds. Reading the Bombed by Blinders articles on Acig.org gives you an impression of the Blinders potential. Can supersonic bombers work? Would a supersonic shockwave, or compression blanket keep the bombs from separating from the pylons/dropping from the bomb bay? I think of the problem as being similar to compressor stall with the jet engines. Edited February 8, 2012 by exhausted
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Here it is how it looks in a close up, you can see the rear pilot sitting in the fuselage. Working also on a 1024 skin.
+Stary Posted February 8, 2012 Author Posted February 8, 2012 I remember pilots being 2D sprites, will pass how on earth (ground) you deleted canopy? That "damaged part" trick? BUFFs ahead: 1
+whiteknight06604 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 the Su-7 and that cockpit both look great. As many trainers as people want to put out I'll use.
