+allenjb42 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Watching it on BBC News & Sky News now. If it is a terrorist attack it looks like they were timed to catch the bulk of the runners rather than the first few finishers. Quote
Gr.Viper Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Crap... I hope, the casualties will be minimal. Quote
+Brain32 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 What kind of cowardly s**theads do people that do such attacks have to be? People running minding their own business and some kind of human manure has to do THIS?!?! If they want to make a point how about showing some balls for a change 1 Quote

UK_Widowmaker Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Probably not a huge amount of Security at a Marathon (I might be wrong of course)...but a soft target for cowards 1 Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 The police swept for bombs prior to the start widowmaker. Since 9/11 we tend to try to ratchet up security at big events. From WBZ radio in boston, they hve video of someone putting bags in trashcans on site. Believed to have been put in place after the start. Quote

FastCargo Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Take any reports of who did it with a big grain of salt. There is precedent for the culprit to be a home-grown terrorist or a foreign national. FC Quote
dsawan Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 North station which I pass through every day to work was like a military fortress; TAC police, K-9 units; bomb squads; specialist vehicles. Quote

UK_Widowmaker Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 If it's a home grown..then they should be punished far worse than a foreign terrorist (imho)..as you can add 'Traitor' to their list of heinous crimes 3 Quote
