I'm working on a video that wil salute the C-130's 60th anniversary and I'm wondering if any of you out there would like to write a brief statement about something you like about the C-130 or if you want to say something positive about it. Thank you for your time.

AC-130 is the best thing that happened to old Herky Bird ever.)

Best rollercoaster ride you don't have to pay for.  Landings at Skopje, Balad AB and Kandahar Airfield  using the Sarajevo drop.  Several hundred feet altitude in seconds,  then your stomach catches up with you a few seconds after landing.

Ah... the Sarajevo drop.... good times!
(Although I experienced mine in an Il-76 on Sarajevo Airport in 94).

Back to topic... I like the Herky Bird with RATOs....

My sister in law's boss was a pilot on one that flew into Entebbe.

More recently he was on one of the new Israeli C-130 Samsons presented to the airforce. I think someone posted a video of the ceremony here a while back.
