  1. Good to see you back and congratulations on the new house!
  2. Wishing you all the best the new year can bring. 2017 has brought us all change and division. Here's hoping 2018 helps us find more of our humanity, understanding for all, and peace on Earth.
  3. Maybe you're both right.
  4. That's a deep question that puts at odds the Creationists and Big Bang Believers. They may meld together at some point but it will always be like oil and vinegar. One theory is more correct than the other yet we have no absolute tangible proof of either right now. So no matter what you believe it's hard not to dismiss the other as folklore. However, the Vicar is taking a piss with his very superior position by including the "other races" in the "oh yeah, he did that too" category. If we were made in the image of God and they are not his statement makes an assumption of superiority that is pretty foolishly arrogant. The only way it wouldn't be arrogant is to have proof which we don't and thus the vicious circular argument starts. You were best to walk away when you did. Subconsciously you probably knew what to do which is why you had nothing to say. :)
  5. The citizens of New Zealand are among the top sighting reporters along with the US of A, and Europe. Globally humans reported 50,000 plus sightings in 2017. Now that's a lot of similar fantasies. You ever consider that maybe we're the attraction like animals in the zoo? Maybe first contact with MP12 is more complicated than just showing up. Imagine if they brought disease or virus and started a pandemic or visa versa. In 1977 we did send out two Voyager spacecraft with time capsules saying, "HELLO ANYONE OUT THERE?" Maybe they're just trying to give us an answer.
  6. UFO sightings by military pilots and space programs are so common they rarely raise an eyebrow anymore. Backing up the OP's video are four airman with varying degrees of experience with the lead pilot having 35+ years flying and the Aegis cruiser's confirmation of the radar signature which placed the alert status of the two F18-Fs after a training exercise. Personally my opinion is we're not alone in the universe.
  7. Majestic (MJ-12) is not specific to the USAF.
  8. You should be all set up to go. I'll be curious how much it gets used. Thanks for the input. Erik
  9. Does it need a downloads section? Does it need all those subsections?
  10. In the preview mode the spoiler function is designed to show you what you've put in the spoiler so you can preview it. This appears to be working as intended. Erik
  11. It is a good idea if it will get used. Maybe we need to ask @Stary and @Julhelm what they'd want to see in such a forum? Erik
  12. I drove around most of Europe in a model very similar that I had purchased second hand when I was a young lad. I drove the literal piss out of that car and it never once let me down, broke down, or got over 50 Kph even downhill with the wind behind me. I have found memories of my time with the only auto that's a beauty challenged beast. No joke but I sold it a few months later for the same price so the entire trip I essentially paid for only petrol. If I close my eyes I can still smell that clothe interior which reminds of potato sacks. Ahhhh good times.
  13. I don't disagree. I've been researching the heck out of what to do. I don't want to buy another IC auto for a few reasons but namely because as AF vehicles start dominating the market the ICs will be worthless. I'm feeling just a couple years too early to the AF market. I've looked into a 24 month lease on an Audi (highest residual value) as a bridge to get me to better AF options. With the "Season of Audi Promotion" going on right now they're almost paying you to get into a lease which would lower my cost of ownership significantly, which is very attractive. The new Tesla Roadster is 1.9 seconds to 60 with a top speed of 250 Mph AKA sick insanity. Musk has set the mark high on his Veyron competing quarter million dollar price tag roadster which makes me think he's a genius or crazy. I'll let you know when I pull the trigger on something.
  14. In a recent password audit by a company it was found that an employee was using the following password: MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento When asked why she had such a long password she rolled her eyes and said, "Hello! It has to be at least 8 characters and include at least one capital."
  15. This guy in Murietta California is selling a CD copy of a circa '93. You possibly could turn it into a paper manual depending on the quality of the copies. Maybe contact the guy and see what he can do for you. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SH-3H-Sea-King-Helicopter-NATOPS-Flight-Manual-Pilots-Handbook-CD-Version-/322111376683?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275
  16. ... and then the atmosphere tweeted #METOO
  17. If a sky penis offends you I suggest you seek help. Lighten up people it's water vapor which will evaporate.
  18. If you're not on a network known to rate limit or your internet traffic doesn't traverse that type of network then you will not be affected. You have to trace route the endpoint to know. No conspiracies here, all documented facts and litigation evidence are available for your review. You might be on the wrong side of the conspiracy.
  19. I'll just say .... Net Neutrality, Comcast rate limits Netflix to force them to pay more money. Nobody believed Comcast would ever do such a thing.
  20. Drove a couple Volvo models. I wasn't unimpressed but I wasn't blown away either. The luxury refinements were lacking, the infotainment systems are cludgy, the performance was on the chunky side, and the steering / handling was obnoxious. I'm leaning back toward the Tesla Model S after all this. I'm really concerned about build quality and durability. I'm not sure Tesla is out of it's growing pains yet. So I sit and ponder the meaning of life.
  21. Here's to the next 242 years and may your knife hand always remain strong!
  22. All good food for thought and yes my needs will dictate decision. Kids, gotta haul them little buggers around safely since I can't strap them to the roof rack. I like toys, speed, and minimal carbon footprint. I'm really leaning toward a Tesla S Model but I'm having a hard time convincing myself I need the price. I've looked at most higher end sedans and crossovers and I really enjoyed the Lincoln MKT, again a bit pricey but it literally had everything I want (minus the self drive of Tesla) thing with the Lincoln is that it doesn't hold a residual value very well. MB S series, BMW 5 series, and Audi A7/S7 also nice contenders. I have to admit I have not looked at the Volvo so that's a great suggestion that I'll go do. If I could get a Tesla X with Toyota's hydrogen fusion engine this would not be up for debate. Until then I'm half slung on the proverbial commode. Wait or pull the trigger. Check the man card or get a sleeper. Side note the new Cadillac CT6 is pretty tasty but the Cadillac holds a worse residual than the Lincoln. Insurance isn't that big of deal. I routinely switch between Amica, Liberty Mutual, and State Farm to get on their lowest rates and save tons of money for great policies. I'm all over the Aventador if they'll make a sedan version.
  23. Keeping things realistic budget wise and considering it will be a daily driver what would you recommend and maybe some reasons why? Yes I'm in the market but there's so much cool stuff out there these days.
  24. Indeed .... great job!
