  1. @KJakker I've been avoiding that busy work on the front page but thanks for pushing me to get it done. And now what ran through my head when I read your post.
  2. @Skyviper Yes they do.

@Erik Did you know you can mention and follow members just like you do on Twitter and Facebook? There's also an option in your notification settings to get notified if someone mentions you. So @ away.
  4. That's not good. I fear it may be a cache issue. You're using Chrome so click the three dots (menu button) in the upper right corner of your browser window > select "Settings" > scroll down to bottom click "Advanced" > find and click "Clear browsing data" > at the top of that page you'll see a drop down menu for "Clear the following items from" select "the past week" > same page check "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" then verify everything else is not checked > finally big blue button "CLEAR BROWSING DATA" When you're finished close your browser completely > re-open relaunch your browser > open the site > log-in > you should be all set. If this doesn't clear it then please let me know as I'm unable to reproduce that on my end. Thank you. E
  5. Does your profile picture look like one of these? Go to your profile and click the "add profile picture" (looks like an image) link that is on your profile picture upload a new image and you're all set.

This thread is quiet which either means you've all gone on vacation or things are working well for everyone. :)
  7. My to-do list is getting short. I'm releasing the OFF Theme today and will start working on a dark theme for us. E

I have a minimal CO2 footprint. The household produces zero garbage to landfills recyclable materials only. We run on solar panels which augments our power consumption from utilities. Last month during our hot season with air conditioning my electric bill was $13 and most of that was the connection surcharge and taxes. Our cars are electric and are charged from the solar panels. I worked on two teams, one each year of the Wallow and Rodeo-Chediski Fires. As volunteers we replanted and seeded roughly 800,000 acres, of course I was only 1 of many many people but I did my part. I do act and I try help others do the same.

Give what up? I'm confused. I'm never going to stop defending Earth. At this time there is only ONE planet we live on. People once believed the world was flat, they too came around to reality.

So you're saying you don't believe in Global Warming? It's a bunch of BS. Is that what you're saying? - Respectfully
  12. I can't give you an exact copy of the OFF Skin but it'll be as close as possible. I have to prioritize the skin as the OFF forums don't have the use to warrant a high priority. I hope you understand.

The pagination thing is us. I'm working on resolving it. Please standby.
  14. That should be fixed please let me know if it's working for you.
  15. The quick upload buttons drop down on the header "+Create" and in the downloads section "Submit a file" are now fixed. The lighter grey (un-highlighted) areas are category headings and do not allow uploads. The darker grey (highlighted) areas are the file categories that allow uploads.
  16. The engines work on the same basic design. Air + Ignition + Fuel = RUN or to quote you Air + Contact + Boom = RUN. The AF sometimes collects exhaust samples from jet engines and they do this by getting a newly enlisted to stand behind a running/starting engine with a 55 gallon trash bag to collect an exhaust sample. Only the brilliant can accomplish this task and move up the ranks. All rumors of course.
  17. You must venture out more often Hauksbee. I'm sure there's more links but I'm kinda pre-occupied. :)

Hmmm that's interesting but it makes sense since it's a real time lookup using the back button doesn't pass the lookup details back to the database. I'm not sure how to fix that but a workaround might be once you do your search and get your answers on the answers page right click a result link and choose "open in a new tab" that way your original search results stay on a tab by itself. Your signature image needs attention ... it says upgrade your photobucket account. LOL

All our pages should automatically redirect to the SSL version of the site. However the actual page "combatace.com/index" doesn't exist anymore due to everything being integrated now. The equivalent to that page is now https://combatace.com/forums/ but I don't think that's going to fix the non-responsive problem. I would recommend flushing your browsing cache. Also I'm still working on the machines that house the site and installing, updating, rebooting, and like behavior have been happening. That should be minimized now. Let's hope for smooth sailing from here on out. E

I understand what you're saying. One of the new inner workings of the site is that it's now fully integrated so things are just in different places. The categories and file listings you mentioned really didn't work like you described in the last version of the site. In that version we did have the ability to show random files in that category but it was never a full list. Now however we can supply you a full list. At the top of all the pages you'll find an "Activity" link. Click - Activity > The down arrow next to "My Activity Streams" > Create New Stream > on this page you can define a new stream you want to keep updated on. You can create multiple streams so they become one click access to the content you want. On your stream setup page first enter a title you want to call it "SF2 Cold War" as an example. Then find and click - Files > The down arrow for settings that appears > click the down arrows next to the category listings until you get to the one you want > then click that category to get a check mark (you can select more than one) > then you can select any other options on that page you like > [SAVE] After you hit save it will show you the stream results. On that page you can more redefine the results, edit the title, remove the stream, etc. After you set this up all you will need to do to get back to the stream you created is click - Activity > then select your custom stream you want to view. As you can see you can make a stream for all kinds of content and what's nice is you can tailor the stream to fit your exact needs. As for the displaying content in the category headings that won't be a high priority. Our library was changed a few years back to include all these new category headings to make it easier to upload and find things. It was argued then that doing our library any other way is just not possible. You're kind of asking for it to be like it was before with broad categories like "SF > SF2 > Add On Aircraft > Cold War. MigBuster spent months putting all those categories together he's going to be heart broken. We shouldn't mention this to him. LOL Okay I've typed enough. Thanks for the feedback. E

Yes. I'm still working on so many other things but the skins are on my list to get done. They are just low priority compared to the other stuff. Thanks. :)

Are you enjoying the new site update? Are you finding anything that isn't working? Are you finding the things you need, where it's located, and how to use it? Anything you'd like to see changed? Your input is very valuable to me. Thank you. E

    Hurricane Harvey

It's still pretty difficult to imagine the displacement and damage Harvey has caused. My heart goes out to the people of Houston and surrounding areas. This should be considered mother nature's last warning about global warming since we didn't listen to her when she threw Katrina at New Orleans. It's time we all stand tall and take notice. A few hundred jobs in the coal industry and flaming off unwanted gases while drilling for oil without a recovery method for other uses isn't worth it especially since greener fuels are available. It's time to break America's smoking habit with fossil fuel and rip it off like a bandage. Buy stock in Tesla. E
