  1. Sweet! Me, too. Need to learn how to do skins. This bird needs to belong to the Nebraska ANG. (155th Air Refueling Wing). Go "Hustlin' Huskers"!!!!!
  2. I have been wondering and wondering where my stupid ballistic missile detonators went.
  3. OK. I'll admit I am probably being way to much of a purist. I certainly watched until the end but I don't think I'll buy the DVD. And anytime a major network (other than sci-fi, of course) takes on a science fiction story it should be celebrated.
  4. Agreed, but I will wait to say more until FC has a chance to catch up. I did not mean to be a spoiler by any means
  5. Maybe it's because I'm older and more jaded now but playing Gunship 2000 had its moments. Nothing like creeping along at low altitude and the next thing you know you've got some friggin' BDRM taking pot shots at you. I've had similar experiences in EECH but for some reason GS2000 pulled me in more. Again, it may have been my age at the time, but I've sweated a box of bullets playing that game. Getting shot up and nursing that helo back home felt like a real accomplishment.
  6. I just don't know what to think about this one..... I am a huge fan of the book and the first movie and was very interested to see what they would do with this. I can't say I was impressed. Certainly they did a good job updating the techology of the Wildfire facility and it did help the story to see more of what Peidmont went through but the wormhole and conspiracy theory stuff went outside the lines IMHO. I have not poked around much but I really wonder what Michael Crichton thought of it. Anyone else see it?
  7. You can also just simply delete the entire [Display004] entry from the ini file. Either way works just fine.
  8. I have a suggestion. It might help to have the readme file included in the download description. I don't think any of them are huge and in this case the readme clearly states that the Falklands terrain is only for Strike Fighters. I agree it is a major pain to do a large download over dial-up only to find the add-on won't work. Wings Over Europe came out in May of 2006 so it's probably chancy that any terrain developed before that will work in WOE. (Falklands was uploaded in March 2006). Anyway we should not assume everyone has broadband and the luxury to download a huge file just to get to the readme. BTW, I'd be willing to help with this type of documentation but I don't want to step on toes without permission.

    Holy Moly!

Yeah, me, too....... Have a good one, Zur!
  10. Very impressive! Thanks for all your hard work. Looking forward to this one.
  11. Emerson, Lake and Palmer, "Brain Salad Surgery" Elton John, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" Yes, "Fragile" Jethro Tull, "Aqualung"
  12. You could try reformatting your smallest drive to FAT32. Then install Win98 there. You will not be able to access any of your NTFS drives from Win98. I would also suggest ONLY formatting one of your drives to FAT32 and then install USAF to that drive. I recall that some of the "WINXP problems" with USAF may have been related to running on an NTFS drive.
  13. Could not agree more. This is not a "am I putting Starforce on my system" kind of decision. This is a no-brainer if you are a TW junkie.
  14. Now that is seriously sweet. Thanks!
  15. Fiction or non-fiction? If non-fiction a good resource is http://www.airforcehistory.hq.af.mil/Publi.../titleindex.htm. Not restricted to the Korean War. Search the page for "Korea".
  16. Paid over 4 for unleaded in Florida. A place very near the airport. Blackguard. I paid much less (3.40ish) out in the suburbs. In Omaha, 3.40 + at most stations. Around 3.20 at the local Costco. But, Dave, we LIKE doing dissertations. Most of us are pretty crushed right now, just so you know.......
  17. "To absent friends."
  18. Commodore 64: Microprose Strike Eagle. Inbound to the Libyan coast...... Been a mudhen driver ever since......
  19. How about turning off CAPS LOCK and posting a screen shot? Post your LOMAC graphic settings as well.
  20. Not big into either item, but smoked Salmon (if done right) is something very special. Always wanted to try catfish..... Not much of a drinker for various reasons. I do agree I would rather have a Sam Adams than other domestics.
  21. Most of the aircraft have readme files that detail how to install them. Other are packaged as Windows installers that only need to know the location of the game. I would suggest downloading one or two that you want and checking them out.
  22. Agreed. You need to do the Fast Pass to make it worthwhile.

    Soarin'

If you ever get to Epcot Center try to do the Soarin' experience. I gotta get me one of these............ It is a hang-glider simulation that uses a full half-sphere screen and is absolutely the most impressive simulation I have ever experienced. (I think it was filmed with a helicopter, though. There were a couple of low level passes that you would not have recovered from in a glider.) Plan on standing in line for a while or getting a Fast Pass. It is very popular and will most likely stay that way for a while.
  24. That's either a really big cat or a really small laptop....
