  1. I think a drag chute is only an eyecatcher in game and worse nothing. You will have no break effect, no speed reduction. A brake chute is whirling like wild when it is released, this is impossible to animate.
  2. Die GP-9 wurde nur sehr selten verwendet. Der Frontwiderstand war doch deutlich spürbar und reduzierte die Beschleunigungsleistung merklich. Von Piloten wurde gesagt, daß die SPS-K mit GP9 beim Flug mit Nachbrenner genausoschnell war wie eine "glatte" SPS-K mit vollem Normalschub. Der Spritverbrauch mit GP-9 war auch deutlich höher, weshalb man in Friedenszeiten liebend gern auf den Pod verzichtete. Der Zusatztank war für gewöhnlich die Standardrüstvariante. Wenn der GP-9 montiert war konnte die hintere Luftbremse nicht ausgefahren werden. Kann man das eigentlich im Spiel auch hinbekommen?
  3. Does the names of the bases you use in campaign fit exactly with the names of the bases in target.ini? They must fit letter by letter, else the game engine find no base for the squadron and it will not appear in game.

  5. MiG-21 used the always the landing drag chute. It increased the lifetime of the wheelbrakes. The drag chute was also used for emergency spin recovery. In the first versions the drag chute was placed close to the engine exhaust on the left lower side. Later the drag chute container was placed over the tail pipe. Here a picture of an east german MiG-21F13. The chute is below the pipe. Here an egyptian MiG-21MF. The chute is above the pipe. By the way, the PFM had in east german service an other designation. It was called MiG-21SPS or, if capable to carry the GP-9 gunpod MiG-21SPS-K.

  7. The soviets made a lot of WW2 war movies. A lot of them were the typical rubbish of heroic soviet soldiers and the stupid and coward germans. But there are some good movies to like this: "Battaillons require for fire" Its the story of some soviet battalions which formed a bridgehead and were smashed by german couter attacks.

  11. With add on WOI Operation Kadesh you will get the most updated version of SF1 family. Some SF2 planes are usable for it, but not all.
  12. Of course you can hang bombs and rocket pods on the plane. But it is not used for this role. It is much to big and so an easy target for the Flak. The Su-30 is an other thing. Its the counterpart of the F-15E and is intended to use smart ammo. But he asked for the 27, not the 30.
  13. The Su-27 is made by rule: "No pound for air to ground". Its a pure interceptor and fighter. The MiG-29 is air to ground capable, but only for dumb ammo. For making the MiG-29 in game able for a2g do following things: open file: MiG-29A_data.ini with notepad editor look for this lines: PrimaryRoles=SWEEP,CAP SecondaryRoles=ESCORT,INTERCEPT,RECON change it into PrimaryRoles=SWEEP,CAP,ESCORT,INTERCEPT, SecondaryRoles=RECON,STRIKE,CAS,SEAD,ARMED_RECON,ANTI_SHIP Then save the file Good hunt!

  15. Either it is a photoshop thing to fool the west, or they make a target for anti carrier strike training missions. Later would make sense, but personally i think its a fake.
  16. With the long 75mm gun of Panther you can also penetrate a Type59 or a T-54, but killing is very difficult. As you said. With the 88mm i had no real success on Panther. The pene was to weak. With my T-54 i have now enough exp to get one of the top guns. But i dont know which i should choose. The D-10TC (correct it would be D-10TS TS= tank gun with stabilisator, because the russians have no letter C) with weaker penne but higher accurancy or the D-54TS with better pene and weaker accuracy. Any idea?
  17. At my system the loading of a mission in SF1 is below 15 seconds, while on SF2 i have loadtimes between 2 and 3 minutes. In this time i can go away and make a coffee.
  18. Die SPS-K ist doch nichts anderes als die PFM mit Kanonenbehälter. Isdelije 94K. Die müßte es eigentlich im Download geben. Edit: Ja es gibt eine PFM für die Mongolei: http://combatace.com/files/file/12251-mikoyan-mig-21pfm-fishbed-f-mongolia/ Mußt Du einfach bloß auf EGermany umstellen und aus PFM SPS-K machen.
  19. Thatswhy the Panther is not very loved in game. The VK3002M is much better and brings much more fun. The higher tiers mediums are all difficult to play. There are only few maps where you can really use the strength of a med, while the most maps prefer the heavies. On US Server i went from Panther to the Indien Panzer and then to the Leo Prototype A. Its painfull. Perhaps the way to PantherII and E50 is better. These vehicles have armour, while the Leo has only paper.

  21. Depends on your computer. WoX or SF1 is much faster on older an weaker systems. SF2 is better on newer computers with dual and quad core.

  23. Ich glaube, daß ich das Problem jetzt im Griff habe. Nach ein bisschen herumbasteln bin ich auf den Wert CGPosition=0.00,0.30,0.00 gekommen. Danke für die Hilfe.
