  1. hey, i've said capital punishment should be a pay per view event. revenue for the states, and might restore the preventative power of such events (encourage folks to get out of such lifestyle so they arent in a future edition of Friday Night Flickering Lights)
  2. little bump to let you all know this is still going found lindr2's model for the Mk17 15 mt weapon. only able to be carried by the B-36. got it into game, fitted out the B-36 to carry it the SHAPE is actually fairly good. the SIZE needs work, as two of four bomb bays had to be merged together IRL to carry it
  3. get back to you around then, FB-111 should be done and released by then and nukes seems to be a slow burner project. my SAC project involves cleaning up the Euro1 paint job and positioning decals, so not too far off to adjust a decal.ini for the Ozzies. can do the same for the grey scheme that followed as i want to do the ANG Bones too (just not the GWOT active wings) would Aussie humor have them now called Bone B.1?

  6. gonna disagree with any air to air capability on grounds of cost (yeah i know its a game and ini edits are free) the cost to upgrade for a2a for any future user would make it more than its worth, esp with the maintenance costs to keep them airworthy. HARMs is kinda pushin it i think and crews could use NOE tactics and jammers like past and current Bone crews both proposals center around AGM-158C LRASM which at the moment is only cleared on the F/A-18E and B-1B. one of which is used by both proposed users, the other proposed for those users.
  7. i'm aiming to do a pack on early Bones next year (after i wrap up the SAC Varks). main focus is SAC era and the ANG squadrons in the 90s. but if our supposed KoalaBone is same color as the current fleet, wouldnt be a problem to upgrade 81 Wing as well. another possiblilty that was discussed (and even less likely to happen than going to RAAF) is giving them to the Navy and reviving the VPB squadrons, which is one i'd thought had on this as well https://othjournal.com/2019/04/15/a-bomber-for-the-navy/ back on topic, give me some ideas on what you'd want to see, then give me two weeks (a modders two weeks)
  8. this is very true, but the download for the skin he's asking about says to do that, and supposedly gives instructions on how (i read the download page, did not get the mod in question cant fault him, he's trying to follow directions and not quite understanding how to do it.

  10. ok, so the nations.ini is in missiondata001, but you will need the Thirdwire cat extractor to pull it or download this and then follow the directions in the Grun Team mod for adding to the nations ini.
  11. High-Flyer, many things in SF2 (where you downloaded GKABS files from) is not backwards compatible to SF1. we SF2 modders have many complaints from the SF1 crowd about this. Sorry that it is so, but (speaking for myself only) it is what it is. If the modder doesnt even have SF1, it is pretty hard for them to make a mod for it apologies to GKABS for hijacking, but as stated it is a common complaint against the Gen 2 modders.
  12. own personal experience, when i did a redux of the TW DLC USAF Phantom skins, i was told in here (CA) that so long a some noticeable change was made to the jpeg, it should be fine to include them. I opted not to in the end because they were the main feature of that DLC, but the consensus as told to me was that if it had a significant difference from the original and the lod was not included it was fine. was many moons ago (2013, iirc Dave being the one sayin go for it) but i think still applies
  13. because those of us who have created things for this game, shared, and then seen them passed off by someone else as their own work tend to get annoyed. the game and many models used in it are in fact old, but the people who work on it still are keeping it somewhat fresh (and with many more player flyable options than other combat flight sims) if you've never had anything stolen from you, we really cant explain it to you. if you've had so much as a coin stolen from your lunch money, then its the same principle on a different level thats why people care

  15. wind storms in spring. when in Ft Bliss (El Paso) in May of 2012, walked three blocks through a dust storm to get dinner. watched a SQUARE pallet rolling like a wheel down the street next to me. called for a ride back. them trees wouldnt have phased me at all during those few weeks
  16. cursory searches of airliners.net, flickr, and photobucket are suprisingly empty. try searching out PAF veterans groups on FB. the similar groups for USAF have been very helpful when researching my recent projects
  17. the N version has been done some years ago, tho i need to update it (better understanding of how serials work now than then). its available for DLC and STORMs version. I have an S buried in the toughbox of uncompleted projects. mean to get to it soon. tga inspired by myTai's work. and as i do, would be a complete everybody start to finish right after SAC Twilight (all the planes SAC used in 89-91), upgraded nukes, functional ASW, 747-100/200, and possible 737 and airport ground object support (airliner models), and eventual ODS(two months not two weeks) funny thing is I phirst got into this sim because of Phantoms. admittedly got a bit burnt out after the N released, but S is still somewhere on the todo list

  22. the time is the big killer and that takes it back to interest. with the ability to use blender to make models now, someone hopefully will - have the interest in the subject - put in the effort to learn blender effectively - have the spare time for the two above
  23. a clarification on turrets: they all shoot at the bad guys. but you cant switch positions like some games and man a gun. at least thats how i read the question, sorry if im being knuckleheaded again. and consistency issues on the prop FMs? thats a polite way to put it (esp looking at the site that bans)
  24. update the B83 isnt looking as bad as i thought it was, even before playing with it. amazing what some strategically placed lines will do to alter the nose shape the Hound Dog proved to have bad mapping tho, with several parts overlapping like a canard over the back end of the fuselage (lower left corner). shame cause i wanted to make a camoflaged one like the last 5 years or so of operations
