    Been Out

All the best to your father Dave, wish him a speedy recovery!
  5. Somewhere I have the templates for it, I'll dig them out and upload.
  6. Managed to snag a nice PRO 300 3x teleconverter off fleabay and stacked it with a 1.4x and the 300mm to get a 1260mm moon snapping machine. Now all I need is a clear sky...
  7. The biggest shame is that while the current G n' R gigs are apparently great shows, it is now just the world's biggest karaoke band, besides Axl's ego which can't fit through any doorway known to man. Having said that, last September I did manage to see the closest lineup we will (probably) ever get to real G n' R, Slash was honoured by Road Recovery in NYC and joined on stage by Duff, Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke. Had Izzy and Adler been there, it would have been a nigh on perfect Appetite line up.
  8. I will sort out the source files for the fencer by the end of the weekend, with final exams tomorrow and on Saturday, I have literally no spare time for simming right now.
  9. This.... bombing through the Mach Loop, now you're talking Thanks Russo!
  10. Marvelous find, cheers Ant
  11. RIP Lord of Loud!
  12. Hey! I recognise that tailart! Nice shot Dave.
  13. I think the blueprint which has the extended nose is labelled as the Hawk 102 variant, which was for UAE, which I can only assume has a longer nose cone than the 128 variant.
  14. Hey Russ, I've found the same blueprints I think you've been using, the nose seems a little too long in the diagram in comparison to a photo of a Hawk T2, here's an overlay of your pic...
  15. Congratulations to Sheila mate!
  16. Happy Birthday Sony!
  17. SF2:NA product page is up with various information and screenshots... http://www.thirdwire.com/project_sf2na.htm
  18. Yeah, so they were looking for how many standard sized marbles (~1.25cm diameter) you could fit into an average British tube station. The idea is that you start by working out the volume of a single marble, and then you work out the cross sectional area of the tube station. Then you start to consider things like the overall volume of the station and the fact that in regular sphere packing you have 74% space efficiency. They're not looking for a final answer, in fact you often get stopped way before you reach an answer. It's all about the methodical steps you take in figuring out the problem.
  19. Engineers get asked oddball questions like this all the time, this one is clearly a matter of weighing up the probability and certainty of the different outcomes. Usually it is a case of the path you take to get to an answer, as opposed to the actual answer you end up at. For example, I recently got asked how many marbles could you fit in tube station.
  20. Lovely snap of Ant, I managed to crawl all over one of these on a visit to 39 sqn a few years ago in cadets. Don't speak too soon about them being gone forever either, plans are afoot to return one to flight.
  21. TripleHead2Go is awesome, you'll love it Dave. This is a really rubbish photo depicting my Uni's flight sim which we have it set up to 3 projectors...
  22. Lovely stuff mate! Thought you'd done Didcot for a minute there.
