  1. My university has just splurged a tonne of money on a professional custom yoke setup for its panoramic simulator, I'm waiting for them to upgrade to X-Plane 10, from 9. My Aerospace Engineering final year personal project? Flight simulator testing, I can't wait
  2. @Dave, at least the tiger scheme was done by a member of The Mirage Factory, possibly Pierrot or Camouflage, but I'm not sure. The Tiger is definitely from the MF though. EDIT: Just checked, it was Pierrot.
  3. Depends what kind of dimensions you're looking to end up with. The volume of a sphere is defined as: V = (4/3)(π)(r^3) Where π = pi r = radius If it is the radius you're after, you can rearrange the equation to get the radius as a function of the volume: This would be dividing the volume by (4/3)(π) and then taking the subsequent cube root: r = [(3V)/(4π)]^(1/3) Once you have the radius you can figure other dimensions, like the diameter (simply double the radius) or the cubic storage dimensions required.
  4. Like a boss.
  5. Many Happy Returns Erik!
  6. Happy birthday Ant! Have a cracking day matey
  7. Yep, VMFT-401 Snipers out of Yuma, VFC-13 Saints out of Fallon, and 64th & 65th out of Nellis, the scenario would have more than ample Red forces. Those bases were modeled a few years ago now and have been on hold since. I have also started on Miramar, Groom & TTR with plans for Creech and AOF at Yucca Lake.
  8. Cue Ian Mckellan's line "Don't tempt me Frodo!" ... I also have MCAS Yuma built and mapped
  9. If you decide to, I have Fallon already built and mapped which you are more than welcome to. EDIT; Pic:

  11. One way to get rid of that itch on your nose...
  12. I am seriously thinking about doing one, but only after Spotty Jag gets out of the paint shop..
  13. Many happy returns mate!
  14. Happy Birthday Monty!
  15. Cheers fellas. @ShrikeHawk: I used a Sony A700 with a Tamron 300mm F2.8 @Ant: Absolutely, it was a joy to use, the weight of it handled well in the strong winds.
  16. Finally got to try out my new lens in anger. Was sat up on Beachy Head with the Reds screaming right over the top, with great weather, all for free! What more could you ask for? It got rather loud immediately after I took this.
  17. Says it all really... http://www.insky.cn/bbs/read.php?tid-52728.html
  18. Perhaps something to do with the orientation of the rotodome in 3ds max?
  19. Happy birthday Carlo!
  20. It is used, yes, got it in an eBay auction for a touch over £460. There's a bit of information over on Dyxum about this lens, and one other review I have found on Pentax mount... http://pentaxlenstest.blogspot.com/2010/03/tamron-sp-30028-if-af.html There really isn't much available to read about this lens, it was only made for the Alpha and Pentax mounts. EDIT: Update, found one over at DP Review that someone seems to be willing to sell, cosmetic condition isn't great, but this lens is built like a tank, glass looks okay from the pics and the mount looks clean too. It still has the original drop in filter. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1056&thread=38985234http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1056&thread=38985234
  21. Actually I don't find it too bad hand holding it personally, just need to get a strap now to affix to the lens, not the body.
  22. Picked it up this afternoon, a Tamron 300mm SP AF 300mm F2.8, my very own bazooka...
  23. Oh my! Change of shorts please nurse.
