  1. In Kon-Tiki Thor Heyerdahl talked about the flying fish. The crew of Kon-Tiki ate a lot of them due to often finding them each morning having glided onto the deck during the night. One time a flying fish almost landed right in their frying pan!
  2. The two things I found the most interesting was the comment about how good the graphics are which in are modern context are laughable, but when compared to a flight sim my dad had on an old IBM computer which was instrument only is quite impressive, and one of the Mac games talked about at the end as I remember playing it on computers at school at the time.

  6. Does that mean that the driver issues my GTX 760 was having with SF2 are fixed by the latest drivers as well? I have been running with older drivers due to that.
  7. If you have a separate appropriately shaped pylon LOD you could set up a false pylon via the fake pilot method. That is how the external stores pylons were added to the ThirdWire B-52D.

  15. Here are a bunch of videos related to North American air defense during the cold war that I found on Youtube, covering Nike, BOMARC, SAGE and some video recorded at the Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence (CFMAD) at North Bay, Ontario Canada. None of these are mine, I just found them and thought the people here might be interested in them. Two of these bases were with-in the borders of the old Rancho La Puente... and we were thankful. Edit: Guess I have to wait a bit before I can make another post.
  16. Good the hear from you! I was just back over this thread a couple of days ago and realized that you had not posted anything in awhile.
  17. I really need to update my IL-2:1946. Looking at my IL-2 folder it looks like I last updated it on 2/18/2012, there looks like there is a lot more stuff for it now.
  18. Thanks for the info.
  19. Richo, take a look at the thread linked below in the SF2 Knowledge Base. It instructs how to make decals in a slightly older version of GIMP, which is the software I use, but it may help you. http://combatace.com/topic/76701-making-decals-using-gimp/ Also which ships do you need the decals for? I might have already made some for it for my own use.
  20. I saw this on Steam as well and added it to my wishlist. Caesar do you think it would be possible to update F-14:FD's various 2D bitmaps with new higher resolution ones?
  21. This thread is looking like it is a contender for the Knowledge Base.
  22. View File F-106_Project_Six_Shooter_Canopy This mod will get rid of the CanopyFrame mesh of the F-106_Pit.LOD so that you can have the equivalent of a proper Project Six Shooter canopy for your F-106.
