  3. Still doesn't rule out the use of stand off weaponry. You know it radiates anyways, so the effect is still there, you launch a HARM and it's bound to track on something, so regardless if it's not showing up or not, it's not like you can't not use it. And it's not like a harbor full of ships is mobile and able to move quickly. And I wasn't just talking about HARMs. Matter of fact I didn't even mention the use of anti-radiation missiles in my first post, good that people are paying attention I meant stuff like JSOW, SLAM, BGM-109. I know the AI doesn't use them as efficiently as they should, but I'm not hopping in that nest of vipers for the sake of machoism. And even going with the RWR bug, doesn't mean if the AI can spot it, they can't shoot it. Load up some more HARMs on the loadouts, and you can get a vast majority of the radars anyways, so it's not like the mission can't be beat without the right planning.
  4. But... if you're talking about Ship Radar? I would say maybe for earlier gen SF series... Jun 2009b, I get the CVN71_static's radar fine. Matter of fact I have to figure it out what the radar system is. So that could be the disconnect, maybe TK finally fixed a bug with ships, not sure but if that's the case then they're working on the RWR/TEWS.
  5. Not sure how they're not showing up, I've seen every system on the RWR and I fly solo... so not sure what you're getting at or whatnot, but my TEWS works fine...
  6. Don't think so, all the SAMs that I've converted for SF2 go through a "shoot at me" process, I place it on the map for a custom single mission, and I get engaged by it. And this is all solo work by myself. So maybe they fixed it with SF2, but I don't upload a SAM mod unless it A) fires, and B) shows up on the TEWS.
  7. I've been contemplating maybe starting a TEWS Database, but the only point of contention is updating it... I maintain a blanket one for my aircraft but a CA one?
  8. Okie, alot of stuff is looking like much doesn't need to be really changed as far as most of the Russkie stuff. Since the Bereza is handled differently, all that needs to be really done is RWR=TRUE and RadarFamilyName.... I'll muck around with it and see how it works..

  10. It said Eastern Afghanistan, so they could have been doing a drop and messed up horribly or something other than that. Really hard to figure out since that's the first crash I know of in that area (my old stomping grounds).

  12. Managing to get around to working on the default skins that come with the package, working on some line birds and getting the tanks redone. First being the VFA-102 CAG tanks, with help of the SME of SidDogg, and here VFA-105:

    Re-adapted for SF2 standards. Not much in the readme except copy and paste the Objects folder and everything will be good to go. Falls under the Combatace Freeware License Agreement.
  14. Added my old Guided Weapon Use tutorial, better start giving it some life. Adobe Reader is required to read the file.

  17. I concur, the SON-9A has been a major culprit in CAS missions. "OH no! Gotta save the troops against the horde of SON-9As!"
  18. So that's how it worky..... nice I know you didn't intend but now I figured how to do the LimitedNationsList.... Malibu43, it takes a little bit to understand, but now that I'm working with the folders more and more... the User\Saved Games\Thirdwire\SF2 Game is for modding only. In KB's example, that CAMPAIGN folder is in the User\Saved Games\Thirdwire\SF2 Game. So when you place it in that folder, the game will read it, and therefore you can mod to your content and whim, but the main install, like "C:\Program Files\Strike Fighters 2\etc. etc. is that, the base game files. So you can mod all you want in the "User..." folders and files, by placing them there, without messing up the core game files, which is of course something we all do sometimes. When updating it with a new patch... probably solves the "clean install" (not sure on that) by just updating the files without having to restart everything.

    I've got a Rafale model in .3ds that Veltro2k worked on for a bit, and needs to be optimized and imported for SF2/SF1/WoX. JAT81500 has the other stuff done, just need the model in the game.. if interested PM me.
