Alright, I'm gonna assume all you Zipper drivers somehow missed this; so, here it is again: http://combatace.com/topic/62762-sf2-series-dact-reports-and-related-a2a-discussions-game-only/page-42?do=findComment&comment=676849 . Considering the different versions of the F-104 out there, it's probably better if you just go into the Data.ini and under Control Surfaces change the Setting[1].DeployValue= from 231.5 to 282.9 on all four flap entries. Again, this is not a cheat, the real world aircraft had this capability. Knock 'em dead.

For you guys flying the Zipper; the real aircraft was able to deploy both leading and trailing edge flaps at speeds up to 550 KIAS. This helped immensely in a dogfight with most pilots saying they could easily out-turn an F-4, for instance. This is not reflected in the Data.inis of the stock F-104s. Obviously, this will not turn the Zipper into a UFO, but it does help alot.

I hate having to ask, but I don't know 3D from a hole in the wall, so... could somebody, anybody, please do a Viggen? Not only will this make JohnathanRL real happy, the lack of this plane is a huge hole in SF2's historical record. Not many aircraft made by neutrals were able to compete with the big boys; the Viggen could. Plus, they just look bad-ass! -

Wow, sorry guys; I guess I should have cleaned this up a little. Here's the corrected MissleObject text file: As per Wrench, drop the contents of the Effects folder into your Effects folder, then use the instructions in the "Add to WeaponsData text file" to change the "EffectClassName=" from "NukeExplosionEffect" to KT030Effects (without the ww) or whatever corresponds to the particular weapon in each weapon's Data.ini. Also change the fusing distance to 200.0 as per Lexx. Drop the stuff from the "Add to MissleObject text file" into the MissleObject.ini (not sure if this is absolutly necessary, but...) and you're done. This may seem like a lot of trouble to go through, but, the first time you drop a nuke with these effects it'll all be worthwhile. These make the "NukeExplosionEffect" mushroom look like something that goes on a steak, with sauteed onions. Good luck! Add to MISSILEOBJECT text file.7z -

Ed, try these. They're an update of Lexx Luthor's excellent nuke effects by MKSheppard repackaged by me. Just make sure the proper EffectClassName is called out in the weapon's Data .ini. Enjoy! -

Yeah, check out the E6B computer; I liked it so much I ended up buying one even though it's of (very) limited use in SF. It reminded me of Dr. Strangeloves' circular slide rule in the movie of the same name. -

Chutedangle, one thing no one's mentioned is that SF2 NA will allow you to use a lot of mods on this site that enable carrier ops in every era from WW2 to the present. For example, if Carrier vs Carrier is your thing you can either build a kick-ass WW2 Pacific mod from stuff available on CombatAce or download a complete Pacific mod from the A-Team site. (You have to be a member there and cleared for downloads.) Either way, it's hammer and tongs Carrier Alpha Strikes until one side or the other is in Davy Jones Locker. Verrry Niiice! -
