  1. The game was not designed to be modded its that simple - although you can replace sound files easily like you suggest. However you DO NOT place the skin files anywhere within the game structure. Are you reading my FA-18E step by step instructions?? If so Im not sure how you are so lost (PHD/ BSc/GCSE not required). You need to open up the koreaObj.hdr file using LOD editor - all the paths are in the instructions - im not going to write them down again. Once thats done you find the correct model (there will be more than 1 entry for the same model) etc etc One thing not on there - on the drop down menu in LOD editor go to Preferences and select LP Database - this will list the model names in English down the left hand side.
  2. Haha love the B-25 Desk!
  3. Well Ive defo heard Mellow Yellow
  4. Suspect the definition gets broader as they have to come up with a list every year
  5. A quicker way you would think would be to type "Naked girls" into Google
  6. If no luck with daggers download look in the Falcon 4 AF download section on this site and download the FA-18F/G skin - that comes with the correct LOD editor - then download the FA-18E skin for instuctions on install. The gamers tools skins need the skin pack installer to install the skins - I have a copy so I guess I could post it here assuming I can get permission from the creator. I also have several skins for the gamers tools including my fave F-16C skin set from Redbird that I guess could go up.
  7. I think the emails automated so probably relies on the correct email address being supplied and that you or your ISP is not blocking the email via some spam filter. If you use Outlook and this is an ISP email address see if there is a way to access your mail over the web - it might be ina spam filter or something - pain I know. Otherwise you could post in the TW forums - he looks in there most days.
  8. Welcome to CA - there a quite a few ex military on here also btw. Getting to grips with game files etc will take time at first but the right way is to dig in and try things out definately If the drop tanks appear in the menu only - first open up the F-4ARN_Data.ini (or whatever) and check the correct weapons pylons show the correct model name: [CenterlineStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=5 StationGroupID=6 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=0.0,0.37,-1.01 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-2.0,0.0 LoadLimit=2050 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,LGB,NUC,GP,LP,IFP,DLP,FT,MER,RCN AttachmentType=USAF,NATO ModelNodeName=pylon_centerline PylonMass=31.75 PylonDragArea=0.02 LaunchRailNodeName= MinExtentPosition= MaxExtentPosition= FuelTankName=Tank600_F4 <----model name To check the model name go to \objects\weapons and open up Weapondata.ini in Notepad (or you can use the Weapons editor) Do CTRL+F to get a find box - then type in the name IE "Tank600_F4" You are looking for a TypeName entry like TypeName=Tank300_A6 - see if its there. If you find it the actual model files for the tank may be missing - check the folder you downloaded and check the tank install instructions again. If you dont find it then its possible the tanks you installed with the new F-4 have different names - so you will need to find them.
  9. You should be able to work it out from this - You need to extract the LineBackerII_data.ini, put it in the "campaign\LinebackerII" folder - then go from 2.3: http://combatace.com/topic/44798-adding-aircraft-to-campaigns-in-sf2/
  10. Not sure on that - would put the Razbam pit as my fave over the old stock pit. Pretty sure TK said the A-6A was ditched due to the investment required for DIANE.
  11. Whats the betting of a Fed Ex advert featuring a video like that - but the aircraft eventually spell out "Fed Ex"......think Id better patent that idea myself...quickly.
  12. Yes but only applies to a certain distance - unless you try following it to the destination country - good luck with that. Oh well lets hope they dont regret it.
  13. Happy Birthday
  14. Yes Interesting - the damage 617sq did with Tallboys and Grandslams was shocking the way they just went through layers of concrete in those U Boat pens and rocket sites!
  15. Neil Flippin Diamond - wtf!! Alice Cooper (fine) Beastie Boys (not fine) Bon Jovi (fine) Chic (what?) Neil Diamond (****) Donovan (Jason Donovan??) Dr. John (hmmm) J. Geils Band (?) LL Cool J (****) Darlene Love (Darlene from Rosanne?) Laura Nyro (No idea - does she have nice ****) Donna Summer (no way) Joe Tex (?) Tom Waits (?) Chuck Willis (? Bruce Willis brother??)
  16. Sad to say isnt it!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxtZIbjVNdY&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2DP-euH2AE&feature=related
  17. Happy Birthday to you
  18. What model of the F-15 is this? Is it the stock game one? How does it behave on hard flight model? I havent tried max speed in many of the jets so would need to test it (well in SF2I now) - if its stock though TK may give you an answer.
  19. Flight models are probably the hardest aspects of modding - which is why there are very few who actually understand the variables involved and create them. These select few probably have a background in physics/aerospace engineering (Like TK) and the advanced math involved. Yes you can change the variables involved and go through a trial and error process - but this is very difficult and painfully time consuming especially when you see the amount of variables and dont understand how they link together - and the results can send you in all different directions!!. Avionics, engines, and weapons parameters - again involves changes in ini files and creation of image files like tga/jpegs (Photoshop/GIMP). Like the flight model due to the amount of variables involved it is not always easy to get what you want even after a lot of trial and error. Computer programming - this is only relevant if you are creating an external program like the weapons editor or the old mission editor - luckily you do not need any programming skills to alter the actual games - i.e. change .ini files or create 3D models or 2D skins. Decals and Skinning - start by altering existing skin files in Photoshop or the free GIMP program and learn from there.
  20. From a Thirdwire perspective SF1 has reached the end of the line in terms of development yes - for everyone else its down to personal opinion and hardware - although I would hope that when you upgrade systems you get SF2 to at least show some support if you can. And Suicidal there are a lot of new things in SF2 - that's not a belief but fact (I have put a thread up about it)
  21. Yep Id go with that and a pit for some of the Vampires - got to be something else though - I'm hoping for a surprise - a new C-47 pit
  22. Please tell me this isn't for real? Should the whole world get to know Airliner routes? What was that quote about human stupidity being infinite
