  1. What do you mean by that? Ever since SF was released in 2002 you could fire off an AIM-7 from an F-4 from BVR - so a campaign with an F-14/MiG-23/F-4/MiG-25 - you would think so.
  2. OMG wasnt execting that - the first major tangible game change in many a year!
  3. No problems here with a 3 or 4 pro - A TiR 5 is on my list. Once you get used to it you will never fly without it.
  4. Yeah - you can get it with the SF2 B2/B6 canberras in the DL section
  5. Wow I think the Hunter and Lightning have now been pretty much covered!
  6. Many happy returns
  7. Yeah - basically .ini files are the text files you have been editing in Notepad. You have even shown a screen shot of the line you need to change. Yes dat file and ini files are totally different - you shouldnt be trying to edit .dat files at all.
  8. 1 . check the data.ini of another jet that has a pilot and change the PilotModelName= to use that specified pilot
  9. 1. Not seen that before - does it say which version of Strike Fighters that Mig was tested in? 2. Only 3rd Wire can change that - we have been asking for a button that gives the whole flight the same weapons and skins - until then they have to be configured separately.
  10. Fabulous pics - thanks for putting them up
  11. Not sure how its implemented in the game but remember - if a ground radar site has picked you up then GCI can just vector the bandit to your location.
  12. There is an Su-24 because I have one - must be in the downloads somewhere
  13. Many congrats - great news
  14. Yeah the 2006 version hasnt got as many graphical features to load at run time so runs a lot faster. You would miss bug fixes, vast AI improvements, graphical improvemants/ dynamic shadows, parked aircraft to name a few things
  15. Needs a comment from someone with Falklands currently installed. Does the cockpit folder have any files in it? Is there a <helicopterName>_cockpit.ini file? DOes the <helicopter>.ini have this line in it "CockpitDataFile=<helicopter>_cockpit.ini"?
  16. Thats a fantastic system!
  17. probably this: http://www.voodoo-world.cz/falcon/glossary.html
  18. from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11052023 Iran has unveiled what it says is its first domestically built unmanned - or drone - bomber. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the plane could serve as a "messenger of death", but that its key message was one of friendship. Iranian state TV later showed the "Karrar" aircraft in flight. It said it had a range of 1,000km (620 miles) and could carry two 250-pound (115kg) bombs, or a precision bomb of 500 pounds. The plane is the latest in a series of new pieces of military hardware unveiled by Iran. "This jet is a messenger of honour and human generosity and a saviour of mankind, before being a messenger of death for enemies of mankind," President Ahmadinejad said after unveiling the Karrar at a ceremony with defence officials. "The key message is friendship," he added. "We must make efforts to render all the enemy's weapons useless with our defence potential." The unveiling came amid continuing concerns over Iran's nuclear programme. Western states suspect Iran is trying to obtain a nuclear bomb, though Iran says its programme is designed to boost domestic power supplies. On Saturday, Iran began loading fuel rods at the Bushehr nuclear power station built and operated by Russia. The US said it saw no "proliferation risk" from the plant, though Israel condemned the move.
  19. go to the loadout screen in game and you can select a different skin, nation and squadron for each individual jet.
  20. 1. might be a bug - have seen it before and others have reported it - I often just cancel the barcaps and set up something useful. 2. No idea on that one Currently playing Rolling Fire (1990s) in a Block 32 myself at all out level - first time I have done Korea - and kinda shocked to get AIM-7Ms and AGM-45s in the load out
  21. Close Air Support and armed recon missions are defined under the [Attack] heading As for the fuel tank - make sure the name of the fuel tank is specified in the data ini. [CenterlineStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=5 StationGroupID=3 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=0.00,-1.61,-1.12 AttachmentAngles=0.0,-5.5,0.0 LoadLimit=1650 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,CGR,TER,MER,NUC,RCN,FT,GP AttachmentType=USN,NATO ModelNodeName=pylon_center PylonMass=150 PylonDragArea=0.02 FuelTankName=Tank300_A6 <--------------- anything else you will need to be more specific and provide details
  22. How about the SF2 knowledge base http://combatace.com/forum/268-thirdwire-sf2-series-knowledge-base/
  23. wrong cat file - MissionData.cat in "Flight" is probably what you need Suggest you use the catpack installer - it extracts every file in the cat to a normal folder so you can easily look through all the files. To use - Make a copy of the .cat file - then drag and drop it onto catpack.exe - the rest is automatic
