  3. I was defo using an add on Tu-16 for a while - the pilots looked like the Autopilot from "Airplane" http://www.column5.us/sfchart.htm Great find that video - and a missile actually hitting a target!!
  4. You probably need a multicore PC then - it had no effect on my single core Win XP box (32 bit). I use the mod for SF1 games I have on this Win 7 setup and it works fine. I use DX10 on the SF2 series - that mod was only for DX9 stuff anyway - there may be an update I somewhere I guess.
  5. We got one with WOE and WOI I think - its now in SF2, 2E, and 2I as standard

  8. I dont think there is actually - but its one of the animation keys - might be Shift + 1 to shift+0 so try them. This of course assumes said parts are mapped to animation keys properly.
  9. ECM can be altered in the weapons editor if its pod based - or in the jets _data.ini if its internal. Radar settings are defined in the _data.ini and _avionics.inis of each jet

  13. Where did you get that AIM-120s could not be carried internally - was this on the A/B or C? - I have seen diagrams that suggest it can be. As for range - well check out the figures when its past IOC - but I bet it has much better fuel fraction than the FA-18EF (which btw can't carry FA stealthly). What you are saying would suggest that Squadron Leader Steve Long is lying a lot in this video - its the first video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10654822
  14. How comes its only the Telegraph printing this stuff - I mean call me mr suspicious or what!! What poor capability are they offerering exactly? - last time I looked the F-22A was the only comparible jet to the F-35 and Im pretty sure thats not for sale. If someone can point me in the direction of the other stealth jet with such advanced avionics I'd be pleased to see it. Anything other than the F-35B or F-35C at this point in time is a waste of money.
  15. Can be positioned in the _cockpit.ini [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=Cockpit_MiG-21bis Offset=0.0,0.0,0.0 Position=0.0,3.7,0.68 ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 ............. For the 3D model not showing go into the aircrafts mig-23xx_data.ini and find this lines for each relevant section i.e. [LeftWing] ParentComponentName=Fuselage ModelNodeName=LWing ShowFromCockpit=TRUE <------------the line you are looking for

  17. No - it would need to go in the aircrafts main .ini file i.e BristolM1C.ini . If you look at the .ini files for the other aircraft you will see where the texture set lines go
  18. Those data_inis do seem to sort out the flashing courtyards - thanks for that Jan If you use the Panama you will need to change the shader names for FE2 EffectShaderName=terTerrainEffect.fx etc
  19. Get the same thing on My Win 7 64 FE2 install - needs some experimenting with the data.ini I would think.   21. I suppose that should have been "new major game feature" - The other new features we had were the the ability to look at medals awarded, and save missions - both relatively minor. Most changes have been (much needed) improvements on existing features (3D models/graphics/AI/Avionics): anyway if you look herehttp://combatace.com/topic/56091-whats-new-in-the-sf2-series/page__pid__432037?do=findComment&comment=432037 This mission editor could be a massive step in the right direction and totally changes the way anyone can now play the games. It could also be a feature that will bring others to the SF2 world.
  22. Use of certain colours around panels and rivets creates an illusion similar to bump mapping - have been using it skins for a few years - something obvserved from 2D artwork - although in mycase I create it with the skin manually - are you using some script or effect?
