  3. this is not a pilot this is an animation of the pilot head. As the pilot is part of the 3d model - that allows you to make custom pilot skin for different squadrons even custom faces and helmets for particular aircraft. And those lines must stay in data.ini - or you will not have head movements in the external model. as those lines use prefix '/' - those lines are out of ini business - not working. These are the only lines that refer to fake pilot mod. It is used to have custom animation when aircraft are parked on the flight line. And if you do not have a fake pilot installed correctly in your pilot folder You will have another 'default' pilot somewhere in 3d model. And this is a similar issue. Indicating that your fake pilot mod is not installed correctly. The fake pilot mod is used to attach 3d parts to the existing 3d model. So if you remove ini lines you are disabling mod from working.
  4. do not know what it is... So which pilot is now in the cockpit? There is only one pilot set in data ini. I have spent countless hours in Harriers from day one...and never had any pilot issue. edit: My guess is your fake pilot mod folder is not correctly installed or something is missing related to fake pilot mod.

  6. For now, I am focusing on the regular armies of the Warsaw Pact and then a few countries that fit into my over Israel, over Iran mod. But also regular armies. Such inferior formations like ISIL and similar have absolutely my disrespect as groups not lead by any code, morals, principals, etc - meaning I am not gonna waste my time for those (even if it is just a game). Meanwhile... finally finished OSA-AKM. and some missiles for it.
  7. If you add a fake pilot part to the external model and place it properly in the pit then it will appear without any problem. I have made a lot of fake pilots, pods, pylons, etc. all are visible from the cockpit slung under a wing. So I do not see any problem in making such a part and placing it in the cockpit. Just remember you can not add a fake pilot into the cockpit model.

  10. yup. Stay in the cockpit. How to fly aircraft from outside? Definitely skin/data issue. Make sure you have a bitmap for fuel tanks in the skin folder or main folder. overlaying weapon with fuel tanks is an issue, common to aircraft with build in fuel tanks nodes in 3d model. Only resolvable by correct data.ini with correct lines FuelTankNodeName= and separate weapon stations for fuel tanks. Guessing you are using some wrongly moded data.ini.
  11. yes it can. But not with data.ini file from that pack. There is somewhere Israeli AH-64 Peten mod. And with data from there, you can. (or be close) but it needs practice. A lot of practice. this is set by modder who build the cockpit. Not possible to change much, without access to the source 3d file. ... We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

  13. This is Mobile_AAA. 9K32M (SA-7). But... Before we had a lonely guy starring at the sky with a fiberglass tube in the middle of nowhere... Silly. So I decided that I want some more background to this. For some middle east scenario, I have two guys in jeepo.. For more formal formations (like Soviet Army) after Gepard's suggestion, I have mounted them with BTR... And I think BTR adds KPV to AA fire. Not sure because something hit me on my test run...and didn't check who was shooting. But that is the idea. Not a single guy with a launcher posing as 'SAM site' or serious AA defense. Was also thinking of adding maybe Strela/Igla guy somewhere near the Command truck or some other AAA or artillery formations (as a part of it) Will see.

  15. Thanks. That UAZ is part of some specific era/region mod...just converted into 'soviets'. I will go with BTR-60 then... Anyone knows if lines in texture.ini: Nation= works for ground objects? Was thinking about making some extra skins for middle-east mods...where many nations were using the same vehicles..but different paint would be a nice touch.

  17. Very nice. But really, the model could benefit from nicer UV mapping (at least 2-3 sheets for skins*), bumps, and specular maps. * 2-3 skin sheets in 2048 will work smoother than one in 4096.
