  1. And this is perfectly fine. And everyone should make peace with it. If the modder wishes to stop supporting a certain game - that is his choice it is not a lifetime obligation. But a community can not just disrespect his choices by redistributing his work ( if this is against his will). Even if he is not giving a damn what is happening to his old model...still it is his property and should be treated this way. So if cockpit was payware a long time ago - now, no one should post his work without his consent. side note...Just be patient. I am quite sure we will have some new models in the future again.
  2. Uhu...when you start working full time for him. both answers are correct?
  3. if you need help with Nimrod uvw mapping/skinning - bet there are few of us willing to help.
  4. Yes. I think it will be possible. Maybe not all features of 'real' display will be present (same as in any other cockpit we can not simulate all gauges/displays etc) Of course, it will need quite a new and different approach. Little challenging, but might be fun making it.
  5. guess it would hurt too much if putting so divine simulation amid...' light sim trash'... not to mention that GOG/Steam price probably would cause a heart attack...9.99$ for full set (considering age and genre).
  6. Next time just shoot pm. If it is about Harrier than I am all ears Well, the gun pod is asymmetrical and that is how it should be. Ammo in the right pack, gun in the left pack. I would be nice to find a way to limit firing above certain airspeed (depends on engine model 150/250kts)
  7. Something like this? 5 minutes in notepad and max.... Did any of you try to contact modder to address those issues? By the way...to one of the posts above. With data from this mod vertical take-off and landing is already possible.
  8. yes, you are absolutely right! My mistake.
  9. Thanks. As you can see there was at least 3 type of underbelly launchers in use. NATO catamaran - Denmark, Norway, Germany... double Aero-3B used by Japan/USAF. and Italian/Turkish fixed pylons with BRU and attached Aero launcher.
  10. Since we are here if someone has good photos of catamaran launchers I would really appreciate it. All types
  11. Still a long way till April 1.
  12. In your gimp template create new layer...rivets layer..and do your rivets. For future projects. Then turn off all layers except those rivets..and export as tga. Open one of your finished jpgs skins and copy paste that tga. Or simply copy just rivets layer over existing jpg skin...make sure that rivets layer has same size as jpg skin to align corectly. play with transparency
  13. Perhaps you are missing sound files? try this.. missingSounds.rar
    Very nice. Thank you.
  14. you want that antenna to nod up and down continuously, or just pitch up / down during tracking. The latter is possible by ini and pivot point alignment. The former I wanted to achieve on PRVs but with no success. Will try Crusader method.
  15. why? most folks have working SF2 on W10....dig into video drivers. Perhaps never...or not soon ..not soon - possibly never.
  16. I usually do bump maps based on white background (255,255,255) white black panel lines, rivets etc. Then export as *.bmp. After that, I open a file in Shader Map3 - which makes nice bump maps where you can adjust the intensity, sharpness, etc...Then SM3 exports by default as high-quality *.TGA...after that converting to also good quality jpg or bmp is just a piece of the pie. If need lines depressed and rivets bulged I am making two separate bump maps and then merging together.
  17. yes, dds can do crap with nice skin, Generally, i do not recommend dds. as specular and bumps. Did you try different compression? BC2/DXT3 or BC3/DXT5 and generate MIP maps . Did you try bump as a high-quality jpg? We have the end of 2020...and we have tons of aircraft to download, but we need more high-quality mods. End-user can always resize skins to the desired format.
