    1. Seafire MkIII, Irish Air Corps

Seafire MkIII (Modified), No.1 Sqn, Irish Air Corps, 1947 - 1955

The Irish Air Corps bought 12 Seafires in 1947; these were denavalised by removing the 'hook' and at least in most cases, locking the wing-fold joints. They were numbered from 146 to 157. There is still considerable debate among the Irish aviation historians as to the precise colour used; they were clearly painted overall with a greenish-grey shade, possibly MAP Light Slate Grey. No detailled information is available. I have simply used one of the stock TW skins, slightly modified, although it is not single colour as it should be.

For use ONLY with SF2 including the Israel Expansion Pack. This will NOT work if you do not have the stock TW Spitfires installed and working.

    4. Mi-24 Zimbabwe

Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme

All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin.

Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet.

All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff.

Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with.

This skin is based on Mike Pearson's textures and converted with his kind permission.

      Enjoy, and good hunting

    6. [Fictional] McDonnell Douglas F-4DA for SF2

McDonnell Douglas F-4DA Phantom (Argentina) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-4D to create a fictional F-4DA in service with the Argentine Air Force in the 1979-2010 timeline.

      BACKSTORY
During the early 1960's the Fuerza Aérea Argentina (FAA) began an ambitious plan to replace the F-86F Sabre then in service as their main interceptor-fighter. The British English Electric Lightning was briefly considered but was quickly dismissed on account of it's very short range. The Swedish Saab Draken was successfully evaluated and FAA pilots submitted a very favourable report as was the French Dassault Mirage III and it seemed likely that a decision would be made between these two competing aircraft. However, the end of the Frondizi government in 1962 and the subsequent turmoil over the next few years saw the FAA's plans put on hold but the Israeli's successful use of the Mirage III in the 1967 Six-Day War saw the FAA finally decide on the French aircraft. However negotiations with the French Government came to an abrupt end in May 1968 when Juan Carlos Onganía, fearful of a coup d'état, dismissed the leaders of the Armed Forces and cancelled the Mirage order.
The 1973 elections (the first general elections for ten years) saw Dr. Hector Cámpora elected as President with a campaign based on a platform of national reconstruction. For the FAA this meant that it's F-86 replacement plans could finally continue but with an aircraft from an unexpected source. Despite the turmoil of Argentina's recent history, the US State Department saw Argentina as a bulwark of anti-Communism in South America and US President Richard Nixon sanctioned the export of 28 ex-USAF F-4D's with deliveries to Grupo 4 de Caza starting in August 1973 and deliveries to Grupo 8 de Caza starting in January 1974. The 1976 US Presidential elections saw incoming President Jimmy Carter highlight issues of human rights and eventually secure a congressional cutoff of all US arms transfers to Argentina and the FAA found it increasingly hard to support Phantom operations except by clandestine support. The FAA used the Phantom during the 1982 Guerra de las Malvinas as a long-range strike aircraft but the FAA's lack of aerial refueling capability and the long distance from their bases dramatically reduced their ability. After 1982 the FAA's Phantom force was increasingly supported by Israel Aircraft Industries and although no additional aircraft could be sourced the remaining 17 aircraft remained in service until 2010.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-4DA folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-4DA folder into your Decals folder.
That's it! For Argentine weapons I recommend you get them from the excellent SF2 Falklands Mod (Redux) by eburger68.

      CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Thanks also to sundowner for the F-4B templates used to create this F-4D skin.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

    8. Charlie Vipers on Guard Part 1: Block 25s in the 90s

                   Charlie Vipers on Guard
                   Part 1: Block 25s in the 90s
This mod is the first of three to represent the various versions of the F-16C/D in US Air National Guard service during the 1990s. It was a busy time with potential conflict in Korea and active operations ongoing over Iraq and the Balkans. This mod aims to show the units as they were at that time. Included is a new F-16D Block 25 from ravenclaw_007 to cover the two seaters in each unit that had them.

      Included
Team Viper F-16C Block 25 with historical ANG skins
      new F-16D Block 25
various period specific weapons and pilots
various ini edits to match the era
      new hangar and loading screens
NOTE: The D models have very few serial numbers to each unit. most units only had one or two family models. the best use for these is to add on as a member of a flight of single seaters rather than as a flight of their own.
The load outs are the same so you will be able to load the same weapons.
      ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
LOADING SCREEN NOTE: I will be including various loading screens with the diferent packs available. In the F-16C_B25.iniyou will find these lines
              LoadingScreen=F-16C_Loading_119.jpg
              //LoadingScreen=F-16C_Loading_111.jpg
installing this mod will have default loading screen with the New Jersey ANG aircraft. if you already had a different version and prefer that one, simply remove the "//" from the one you want and add to the one without.
      ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

    16. Templates for 3W EA-6B Prowler

This pack contains the 2 templates you'll need for reskinning the SF2NA Prowler.

This pak contains ONLY psd templates for:

      EA-6B_texture3
      EA-6B_texture6

as the mapping on the others (1,2,4,5) use the same as the standard A-6. So, don't forget to get the templates for A-6E TRAM, also available someplace within this section (SF2, Utlities/Tools)

As they stand, they're quite basic. As always, further improvements and enhancements are WELCOMED and more than encouraged!!

    19. No.4 Sqdn "Oorials" IAF MiG-21bis Type 75 skin pack

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No.4 Sqdn "Oorials" Indian Air Force MiG-21bis Type 75 skin pack

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No.4 Sqdn "Oorials" MiG-21bis skin pack based on Comrad's excellent MiG-21 2048X2048 templates.

Pack also contains serial number of all IAF MiG-21bis airframes, a lot of which later went to be upgraded to Bison(21-93 UPG) standards

Also inclused an altered data.ini which removes the odd rods antenna.

      ------------
      Installation
      ------------
Assuming that you have the Indian AF MiG-21bis Type 75 mod(http://combatace.com/files/file/10593-iaf-mig-21bis-vikram/), extract the contents of the file to Objects folder.

      -------
      Credits
      -------
Comrad - for his 2048X2048 MiG-21 templates. Making these skins would not have been possible without his detailed templates.
Paulopanz, Spillone104 and FastCargo - for the MiG-21bis Type 75 mod
Wrench - For his help in removing the odd rods antenna using the data.ini

    21. Vought F4U-5 Corsair, Fuerza Aérea Hondureña (Honduran Air Force)

Vought F4U-5 Corsair, Fuerza Aérea Hondureña (Honduran Air Force)

      - For SF2, Any and All,

This is a modification of The Mirage Factory's F4U-7 (French Navy version), into the earlier, and almost identical (albiet modified), F4U-5 version as used by the Honduran Air Force in the 1950s and 60s. TMFs original -7 readme is included. This is an SF2 revamp of the version I uploaded a few years ago.

This mod makes use of the latest patch level tweeks for randomization of aircraft serial/ID numbers. So, make sure you're at least at June 2011 or above level. Included are a new SF2-style hangar screen, some weapons, engine sound and a pilot figure. A Userlist is included, even though this is a "Nationalized" version. The WW2-era bombs are NOT included; you can find them in the GunnyPak, or edit the loadout ini to use stock 3rdWire ones, if you have SF2:Is Expansion Pak 1.

This is a COMPLETE aircraft, with almost all the trimmings, ready to unzip and fly away. Many tweeks have been performed on this, mostly by Column5 to the FlightModel. Some data ini mods by me (duplicating the HVAR stations) allow for wingfold and the ordanance to "stay put" the pylons. Canopy & wingfold is activated by manual animation keys; use Shift/0 for the canopy, Shift/9 for wingfold. Obviously, the FAH dosen't have carriers, but research indicated that the wingfold was never disabled. As always, all the external lighting has been updated to be historically/mechanically correct.

As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, please review the Legal disclaimers at the bottom - some changes have been implimented.

Special thanks to TMF, and Sony Tuckson in particular for permission to include all the bits and pieces. Many Thanks man!

      Happy Landings!

(as stated in another recent upload, the proper terrain for it's operation is still in the works)

    24. SF2 T-34C Turbo Mentor Pack by Various

SF2 T-34C Turbo Mentor Pack by Various       1/20/2023
      -For SF2, Any and All-
As seen in the "Found on my HD" thread on CombatAce, I present the Beechcraft T-34C Turbo Mentor for your edification and enjoyment. Brought to you by a combination of luck and the work of our good friends in Latin America. With a little help by me (grin).
There are 3 skins/decal sets supplied in this package,
      Argentine Navy:
Armada (a dark blue overall; 1978-1980)
Malvinas (2-tone camo, as seen during the Falklands War; < 1980)
      US Navy:
VT-2 "Wildcats", TAW-5 NAS Whiting Field, Florida
Skins are in jpg format. Many markings are decals, many are painted on. All skins have accurate serial/modex decals. The USN skin has 18, the Argentine skins 29, and 16 respectively. The Argentine skins use the SF2 date switch to active themselves at the proper time.
Both canopies are manually operated; the Standard Animation Keystroke(s) are used; shift/0 (zero) for the pilot's window, and shift/9 for the backseat driver.
      When in game you see:
      T-34C TurboMentor (OJ)
The "OJ" is for the modeler, and will differentiate this T-34C from any others that may or may not be available.
Be advised, that while tagged as a "T-34C" this is actually a "T-34C-1" which has 4 underwing hardpoints for various ordnance. The C-1 was an export only version, but will work nicely for USN customers/users/flyer/game players over The Range terrain for weapons practice. Or flying for fun.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them!!
      Happy Landings!
