    3. IAI/Mikoyan Gurevych MiG-29I Shu'Al (Fox) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (Israel or Merged)

I modded the MiG-29 from The Mirage Factory to make it look like a fictional fighter and recon plane for the israeli air force.

      BACKGROUND
During the first Iraq War in 1991, a group of iraqi MiG-29 decided to desert trying to escape the fate their comrades faced against the overwhelming power of the USAF, US Navy and their allies. Their escape ended over the Golan Heights, where they were intercepted by a entire squadron of F-15 Baz and F-16 Netz patrolling. Due to some misunderstanding between the deserters and the defending pilots, two MiG-29 were shot down and the remaining ones got escorted to the Ramat David Airbase.

Israel handed the pilots over to the US for further interrogation and kept the MiGs for studies. The capabilities of the plane convinced the commanders of the IDF. Israel offered Mikoyan Gurevych a offer for the license they could not refuse to accept, since MiG suffered a lot financially after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The MiG-29 was modified by IAI. Two years later, the first MiG-29I Shu'Al did it's maiden flight on the 24th of June 1993.

      CREDITS

All credit belongs to ALL the members of The Mirage Factory for their fantastic work they did with this model.
Special credit goes to Oliver Anguille for his effort and hard work. May he rest in peace.

Also big thanks to dast24 for porting the plane to SF2-Standards. A job well done.

    4. 26-06-2012 v1.0

This is a replacement pack for the default RNlAF skins used by the ThirdWire F-104G. The skins were made with ravenclaws excellent templates. This pack includes both the Camo and Grey skins and an additional Camo skin without the black inlets. The skins are HD (2048x2048). Matching droptank skins are included.

The skins have no national or squadron markings.

To use this pack you need to have SF2:Europe installed/merged.

To make them flyable follow the instructions by Wrench:
      http://combatace.com/topic/57393-flyable-f-104s-for-sf2/

      ===============================================
      To install:

Simply unpack the Object folder in the zip to your MOD folder. Overwrite if prompted.

      Notes:
      - The skins may be to big for your system, resize them if needed.
      - The bumpmaps of the Thirdwire model do not exactly line up with the skin, I'm working on a fix (no ETA).

      Credits
      - ravenclaw_007 for the F-104G templates
      - Thirdwire for the F-104G

    7. This pack contains 8 "generic" World War 2 era cockpits for use in WW2 installs.

Tested in Series2 ONLY, no idea about Gen1 compatibility!!! You have been warned!!!

      Info:

"Generic" means these cockpits are somewhat similar to various real life ones, and are meant as replacement ones for aircrafts that by default have no custom, specific cockpits of their own. Rivet counters and/or WW2 experts please note that thesse cockpits do NOT represent any specific real-life models/variants, so if you seek for ultimate realism in modelling this pack is NOT for you.

These cockpits are as follows, with the planes I use them as a guide:

      EARLY_WW2_COCKPIT_1 -for MartletII, Martlet III
EARLY_WW2_COCKPIT_2 -for Macchi202 and other, italian gauges
      EARLY_WW2_COCKPIT_3 -british fighters
EARLY_WW2_COCKPIT_4 -FiatG50, open cockpit with italian gauges

      MID_WW2_COCKPIT2 -generic, light fighter
MID_WW2_COCKPIT3 -P-39D, maaaybe some soviet fighter..?

Late_WW2_COCKPIT1 -P-47D, heavy ground attack aircraft, single engine bombers
LATE_WW2_COCKPIT2 -like above but with bubble canopy, for late models of Jug, other heavy fighters
