    2. US M-1 120mm AAA Gun

      US M-1 120mm AAA Gun
      - For SF2, Any and All -
       
      Simple modifications (read: ini edits) create the 1940s-mid 1950s 120mm radar directed US Auntie-Aircraft gun.
       
      Based on Pasko's KS-30 130mm, as this is the closest shape available. (unless a 3d guy builds a more accurate one). A new 120mm gun is included. As this gun was radar directed, I took a little poetic liscence, and 'built in' the search/track radar to the data ini itself (ala the ZSU-23 and M-51 Skysweeper).
       
      Simple easy to follow instructions are below, in the "To Install" section.

    3. Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza Vol.3

      The third part of Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza mods for the SF2 series game.
      First of all. This is not entirely a 'Plug and Play' mod.
      Yes, some objects will appear in the game right away, but some will not - because some objects are meant to be used via the target editor. Especially in Vol. 3, you will find many 'eye candy' objects but you will find also basic trucks, fuel tankers, and artillery support objects
      In general, the whole mod is built for terrain enhancement - a lot of objects should be added in terrain TYPES and TARGETS.
      Having this in mind this mod is mostly for terrain builders, modders, and experienced users. If you are hoping for quick-click plug-and-play - this is not for you. 
      All objects have destroyed models added.
      Gun files should be taken carefully - they are slightly modified by guuruu with decreased performance. 
      I believe all the gun files are provided and you should have them already, if I forgot something - well it happens sometimes. Sorry for that.
      Part three contains mostly trucks cars and airfield objects in general, some artillery units.
      All of the skins are green, I added a few camo versions and a few extra but just for specific objects. NO Tan/Desret scheme. This might come in a more specific mod for specific terrains in the future.
      Some trucks have light emitters made by guuruu - made to work at night and be 'invisible' during the day - well effect ended up somewhere in the middle.. You decide - it is easily removable in data.ini.
      Userlist ini files are just in a few objects but they might need editing for your own use.
      If you have similar models from me - released years ago - do not mix them up. I recommend deleting all old files.  Here you will find new updated models.
      Under any circumstances DO NOT mix these objects with any ODS 30Aniversary Edition mod. Even in the future. ODS30AE objects are exclusive for ODS and differ in many ways from Cold East Ground Objects Bonanza.

      This package contains an update kit for GMG's German Air Force Canadair Sabre Mk.6 (Late) aircraft pack available at the following URL:

      If you don't have it already, you'll need that mod first. It's one I heartly reccomend! Ravenclaw and the GMG did an OUTSTANDING job on this aircraft!!!
       
      Like many (ok, most) of the other Sabres recently updated, the following items have been changed, added to,
      adjusted and whatevered:
       
      updated hit boxes/collision points
      added destroyed model callout
      new FM (ala KAW Sabres)
      activated squadron name display via fake "SqTail" decal
      decal numbers now randomized
      "brightened" gunsight (for us old folks!)
      added avionics statements, and avionics ini for radar-ranging gunsight
      Removed "Exported=TRUE", nationalizing to ONLY West Germany
      Added SF2 "short name" display
      Changed Start Year so camo skins only are used.
       
      These changes will bring this superb mod up to the latest standards, FM wise. Nothing else has been changed -- nothing else really needed to be!! See "Notes" for things I did =NOT= do.
       
      As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them! Also, the "Notes" section for a more detailed change/correction list.

      This mod includes civilian airline pilots. Not sure where the base pilot I modded came from, I think I got the pilot from a different mod. If anyone knows, please drop me a line so I can properly credit the creator of the LOD file.
      To use the pilots, please add them to your "Pilots" folder and update your "<plane>DATA.INI" file's "Crew" section to display them in your planes.

      = For SF2:I (or Any & All, Full-4/5 Merged Preffered) =
      *Can be used in any merged install that has access to the SF2I Meteor F.8, as this cockpit is referenced for this aircraft. It is the "best, closest fit" Hence, the 'Full-5 Merged' tag is applicable*
      Extensive modifications and upgrades to the stock 3W S.O.4050 Vautour IIA as used by the IDF/AF,and French Air Force. As seen on the CombatAce message boards, the aircraft gets the addition of the missing outboard wing pylons. These are attached via the 'fake pilot' method. The only disadvantage is, they are always present, even when not loaded. A fact that must be lived with. Also, as stated above, with the addition of a cockpit, the aircraft is now "Player Usable".
      Many other modification have been performed, and all are listed in the "Notes" section of this readme. Loadouts have been adjusted, as have several other important statements in the data ini. All weapons used are stock 3W items, meaning they still use the UK bombs. End Users (tm) that wish to swap our to the various French bombs available in weapons packs may do. Be advised, I did =NOT= test with those, so their attachment positions -may- not match.
      Even though there isn't another Vautour IIA, I've added a statement to the "displayed name", so it now reads:

      This is just one of my usual "things", when more than one of the type exists.

      Having this in mind this mod is mostly for terrain builders, modders,, and experienced users. If you are hoping for quick-click plug-and-play - this is not for you.

      Part two contains mostly air-to-air defenses.
      SA-2, SA-3, SA-9, SA-8B, SA-13, SA-7.
      Again those SAMs are not really plug-and-play mods. 
      I have made them in groups (SA-2A, SA-2B, SA-3, etc...) each group contains EWR, SAM_RADAR, and SAM_LAUNCHER.
      It is up to the player to pick and choose the desired system for a specific mod, terrain, etc.
      all except SA-2 use new weapon models. SA-2 uses an older model that was available for years already. (for now, I have no patience to finish my models)
      All objects have destroyed models added.

      This is a "What If" nation missile system based off of the real SA-18 Grouse (or what I could find though internets sources).

      It uses Pasko's "SAM Gunner" since I have no modeling skills and is setup for SF2. It can be of course adapted for SF1 but that requires a bit of work that can be found in the SF2 Knowledge Base and is a drag and drop as all files and folders are already organized.
       
      Afghanistan rules of thumb:
       
      Kandahar-Shindand-Herat-Qala I Naw "ring" stay above 24,000ft MSL + for traveling. When you break that (usually 23,000 ft) you may get shot at. Other areas roughly 22,000 ft MSL + is a good altitude to stay above but again use flares conservatively. It's not very accurate but if enough are fired you will get shot down. I've seen earlier versions of this shred SEAD flights.
       
      This is strictly for What If scenarios or installs rather than real world setups as so far there is no heavy use of SAMs in-country.

    13. SA-14 Gremlin / 9K34 Strela-3 MANPADS Pack

      SF2 SA-14 Gremlin / 9K34 Strela-3 MANPADS Pack 1.0
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      This pack features the SA-14 Gremlin. It is a man-portable, shoulder-fired, low-altitude, 
      infrared guided surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS) developed as a response to 
      the limited performance of the earlier SA-7 Grail. The missile was largely based on the 
      earlier Strela-2 and thus development proceeded rapidly. 
      The most significant change over the Strela-2 was the introduction of an all-new infra-red 
      homing seeker head. The new seeker worked on FM modulation (con-scan) principle, 
      which is less vulnerable to jamming and decoy flares than the earlier AM (spin-scan) seekers,
      which were easily fooled by flares and even the most primitive infrared jammers. The 
      new seeker also introduced detector element cooling in the form of a pressurized nitrogen 
      bottle attached to the launcher.
      The effect of cooling was to expand the seeker's lead sulphide detector element's 
      sensitivity range to longer wavelengths (slightly over 4 µm as opposed to 2.8 µm of 
      uncooled PbS elements). In practice this made possible the tracking of cooler targets 
      over longer ranges, and enabled forward-hemisphere engagement of jets under favourable 
      circumstances. The seeker also had better tracking rate, enabling the missile to track 
      maneuvering of fast and approaching targets.
      A negative side effect from the aforementioned improvements was increased missile 
      weight, which caused a slight decrease in the kinematic performance compared with
      Strela-2M (SA-7B). Against relatively slow, low-altitude battlefield air threats the overall 
      effectiveness was much improved.
      The new system was accepted into service in 1974. Strela-3 missiles have been exported 
      to over 30 countries.

      Known issues:
      - System has limited all aspect capability mostly against slow, low-altitude targets.
       
      - Helicopters have higher survival rate per hit because in some cases missiles hit the tail rotor 
        without causing significant damage. I guess this is another game engine characteristic.
      - Low altitude (lower than 500 meters) performance is downgraded for current missile values. 
        By increasing noise rejection the missile becomes capable of hitting targets in lower altitude 
        but at the same time the single shot hit/kill probability is being increased to an unrealistic level. 
      - Fuze distances are longer compared with the actual lethal and damage radius of the system. 
        In SF2 world the real high explosive warhead quantity is big enough to destroy a fighter size 
        target even in 10 meters!

      Lot of research and hard work was made to make this SAM as realistic as possible.
      More than 2000 launches took place during testing!

      This package contains a new, modified data in for the Post-War and KAW era B-29 Superfortress, and the RAF Washington B.1. Also included is a "backed up" copy of the original data ini, just for safety's sake.
      For those with the skill to copy/paste, you can use this data ini for your WW2 PTO B-29 as well. You'll only need to copy/paste the TOP section of the original data ini from your WW2 B-29 into this new one.
      If you have this aircraft already, THIS is the pack to use.  Both of the full aircraft mods, available here in the CA Downloads, have already been updated for new users.
      Reminder - if you have this aircraft already, you do =NOT= need to redownload the entire aircraft again.
      = Instructions for Use:
      unzip to a temp folder or your desktop.
      Copy/paste the B-29_data.ini (and B-29_Data - copy.ini) You know, copy them BOTH into the KAW/Post-War B-29's folder.
      Do the Same for the Washington B.1. Copy/paste BOTH supplied data inis into the WashingtonB1 folder.

      This is a remod pack for Veltro2k's Soviet/WarPac Transport, Airliner and AWAC aircraft. This package =ONLY= contains the data inis for the aircraft listed below. You will still need to locate the original aircraft.
      It is highly suggested (read: REQUIRED) that you have SF2NA as part of your merged installs, as several of these reference the stock 3W Tu-95 Bear destroyed model. Some reference the stock 3W An-12 destroyed model as well. 
      All New Data Inis Included in the pack are for:

      All aircraft have had their data inis reworked to correct, add, move or generally "fix" all the hit boxes, relocate components (ie: fuel tanks, as best as possible inside the airframe) and in general clean up many things that simply escaped notice. The exception here is the Tu-104, which get a partly repainted skin, with all new 100% accurate civil registration number decals (18), and an avionics upgrade (GM radar).
      As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions.

      Highly recommond you guys use it with Realsky Environment Mod.
      This is a shader that can change the original color of the game to make it close to the color of White Phosphor Image Intensifier Tubes in reality. Of course, it will also really brighten the brightness of the picture.

      1.put [TWPOSTPROCESS.FX] into your SF2's Flight folder【Back up recommonded】;

    24. SA-10 Grumble A/S-300PT SAM system

      The S-300 PT is a long-range surface-to-air missile systems produced by NPO Almaz. The S-300 PT is intended to defeat current and future air targets in all conditions of their combat employment under intensive ECM and multiple-threat environments, such as government precincts, industrial facilities, command posts and headquarters, military bases, strategic and tactical airfields and nuclear sites. The S-300 PT system was first deployed by the Soviet Union in 1979, designed for the air defense of large industrial and administrative facilities, military bases, and control of airspace against enemy strike aircraft. The project-managing developer of the S-300 is Russian Almaz corporation which is currently a part of "Almaz-Antei" Air Defense Concern. S-300PT was using 5V55 missiles developed by MKB "Fakel" design bureau. The S-300 PT is also capable of destroying ballistic missile targets and is regarded as one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems currently fielded. Its radars have the ability to simultaneously track up to 100 targets while engaging up to 12. S-300 deployment time is five minutes. The S-300 PT missiles are sealed rounds and require no maintenance over their lifetime. A typical battery would be equipped with three 5P85 TELs, each with four SAMs, or double the SAM complement of the S-75/SA-2 it replaced and permitting 2 rounds per launch. The designation of this TEL following a mid-life block upgrade became 5P85-1.
