    2. SF2 A-26N Invader Nightfighter Pack       2/21/2020
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is a mod of the WW2/KAW era A-26 Invader into a make-shit night fighter/interceptor as used by the French Air Force during the Algerian War of Independence in the late 1950s-early 1960s. This mod was started at the beginning of the year (as you can see from the date above), and got lost in the shuffle, what with all the world wide insanity. I now present it to YOU! Because I can't think of anything else to do with it!!! :)
In the early 1960s, during the aforementioned war, 8 French Air Force A-26B Invader bombers were modified to carry an Air Intercept radar and were used to counter airborne smuggling of arms and supplies to the rebels. They were assinged to ECN I/71.
This model is finished in overall night black, with standard AdA markings. All markings, excepting the French tri-colored rudder, are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. On the number list ini, you'll see 4 serial marked with the star (*). These have been matched as having been used by ECN 1/71. The other unmarked serials are just 'generic', but those aircraft were used by the AdA (either in Indo-china or Algeria or both).
All other bits are supplied; sounds, pilots, weapons - including a "version" of the SNEB 68 rockets and rocket pod "modified" for air-to-air usage (inis only -- I've tagged them to use the stock 3W Matra pods. And they DO work, with a little practice.)
When in-game, on the aircraft selection drop-down menu, you'll see:
      A-26N Invader (NF)
Designating this as a "night fighter" variant.
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Also, as usual, PLEASE give the "Notes" section a look at!!

    3. SF2 P/F-51D/K Mustang Pack by FastCargo      8/7/2020
      -For SF2, Any and All-
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the long delayed release of the P/F-51D/K Mustang by FastCargo. This aircraft was originally built for use in the "Korean Air War" mod, circa 2011. As we'd chosen to use the stock 3W Mustang, this one was shunted aside. A little while ago, one of our CombatAce members contacted me, and asked what happened to it. So, I went ahead and finished it off. With FC's permission, it's now being released for General Usage (tm).
Originally built with (the problematic) DDS textures, the LOD has been hex edited to take jpgs. This aircraft is issued with 3 skins:
      USAF1 - generic NMF, for USAAF WW2 & post-war service from 1945-1947
USAF2 - generic NMF, with post-1947 USAF markings
12th FBS, 18th FBG as used during the Korean war.
The SF2 'date switch' is used on all skins: the 12th FBS will activate in 1951.
Almost all markings are decals, excepting where needed for painted-on squadron markings (12th FBS flashes and sharkmouth). 100 serial & 'buzz number' decals are provided for WW2 and post-WW2 use, and decal randomization is TRUE. All sounds, weapons, and the pilot figure are included. The canopy operates with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero).
When in-game, on the aircraft selection drip-down panel, you'll see:
      F-51D/K Mustang (FC)
This will differentiate THIS model from all the other Mustangs available, both 3rd Party and Stock.
Even though the "P" wasn't changed to "F" until October, 1947, this is easier. The D/K Mustangs are identical, differing only in production location (D = Los Angeles, CA.  K = Dallas, TX) The "FC" is obviously for 'FastCargo', the Maker.
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. It's also suggest to give the "Note" section a read as well. Just for grins and giggles, obviously.
      Good Hunting!

    4. VL Myrsky II 'Storm' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
The VL Myrsky II ('Storm') was a Finnish World War II fighter designed by the State Aircraft Factory (Valtion Lentokonetehdas) for the Finnish Air Force. Entering service during August 1944 the Myrsky was reasonably fast and manoeuvrable enough to dogfight contemporary Soviet aircraftand and it's wide undercarriage gave it decent ground-handling properties. Myrsky usage ended in May 1947 and the last Myrsky flight was made in February 1948.
Veltro2K very kindly made this for me back in 2014 and it's another one of the lesser known aircraft that he has brought to Strike Fighters.
For this revision we have a much better flight model and working flaps.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Myrsky folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Myrsky folder into your Decals folder.
      3. From the SOUNDS folder drag and drop the TwinWasp file into your Sounds folder.
That's it! Although you will need to source a suitable 'prop pilot' for your Myrsky.

    6. The Vultee P-66 Vanguard was a United States Army Air Forces fighter aircraft. It was initially ordered by Sweden, but by the time the aircraft were ready for delivery in 1941, the United States would not allow them to be exported, designating them as P-66s and retaining them for defensive and training purposes. Eventually, a large number were sent to China where they were pressed into service as combat aircraft with mixed results.

    7. Heinkel HE-100D1
The Heinkel He 100 was a German pre-World War II fighter aircraft design from Heinkel. Although it proved to be one of the fastest fighter aircraft in the world at the time of its development, the design was not ordered into series production. Approximately 19 prototypes and pre-production examples were built. None are known to have survived the war.

    8. Immediately after the liberation of France in 1944, the production of Storch at the Morane-Saulnier factory was continued at the request of the Armée de l'Air and designated MS 500 for the batch of aircraft produced with the remaining stock of Argus engines. Further modification and use of different engines (inline and radial) are known under different type. The use of the aircraft in Indochina highlighted the weakness of the wood in the construction of the airframe; it was then decided to build the wings in metal. Among the modifications, the defensive weapon aiming through the back window was dropped, although some aircraft have then been modified on the field to take a machine gun MAC 34T firing through one of the side windows. 141 aircraft were built before the end of World War II and a total of 925 aircraft were built before the end of the production of all type of Criquet by Morane-Saulnier in 1965.
