    1. MiG-25 Foxbats for SF2

      SF2 MiG-25 Foxbats

      This mod package contains a collection of MiG-25 Foxbats, all converted and updated to SF2 standards. Included in the package are all the weapons, effects, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft in this package.

      These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, SF2I, or SF2NA. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions.

      Those familiar with the original MiG-25 Pack assembled by Dave (USAFTML) for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated package simply builds on the work of Dave and the entire team behind that original release. (The original ReadMe from that release is included here.)

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Installation
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~

      To install, simply drag the \Effects and \Objects folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to). By default your Mod Folder should be located here:

      Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows Vista: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows 7: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\

      ...where [username] is the account you log into within Windows and [Game] is the name of the particular game mod folder that you're moving the files to. If the aircraft are not showing up in your Single Mission Aircraft menu, then you didn't install all the bits correctly.

      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Notes on Changes
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      This package is largely an updating of the original MiG-25 Foxbat Pack to SF2 standards. I will not claim 100 percent technical and historical accuracy for every aspect of every aircraft, but I did consult a number of sources while preparing this package.

      Several things are worth noting:

      - landing gear for all aircraft is fixed, so aircraft no longer bounce
      and teeter around on the ground or wander off into the weeds (this has
      long been a pet peeve of mine with these aircraft, and I think I have
      finally fixed the underlying problem);

      - brake chute animation for the PD and PD Export version has been disabled,
      as the animation appears to be partially broken, leaving the chute door
      open during flight (strangely, this problem does not affect the other
      models);

      - all engines now have fake afterburner nodes (if you don't like their
      appearance, you're welcome to substitute your own or turn them off);

      - all aircraft use standard SF2 shadow statements (the included .SHD files
      actually spawn those dreaded tractor beams, whereas a simple SF2 shadow
      configuration does not).

      It should also be noted that the skins included here are quite dated. If anyone is so inspired to create a new set of skins and decals (Paulopanz, I'm looking at you...), please contact me at CombatAce.com. I would be happy to incorporate a new set of skins and decals into an updated version of this package.

      Credits & Acknowledgements
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      This package largely consists of work done by others and released previously in other packages. All I did was assemble the package, update the bits to SF2 standards, and make minor adjustments and tweaks here and there (discussed above).
      Primary credit goes to the team responsible for the original MiG-25 Foxbat package for SF1:
      Dave (USAFTML)
      Wpnssgt
      Tomcat1974
      Sundowner
      Ghostrider
      Deuces
      Moonjumper
      Also included in this package are skins or decals done by the following individuals:
      HrntFixr
      Sidewinder86
      Gepard
      Wrench
      The cockpits used in this package were built by:
      Paladrian (MiG-21 cockpit)
      Boopidoo & Badger the Bad (Su-15 cockpit)
      Finally, I used a tweaked version of the fake afterburner node effect introduced by Spectre8750.
      If I have neglected to credit anyone, please let me know -- it will be fixed ASAP. A copy of the original ReadMe for the MiG-25 Foxbat Pack for SFP1 is included in the same directory as this ReadMe. Any errors in this package are mine alone, so please do report bugs and inaccuracies to the CombatAce.com forum.
    3. MiG-17AS Fresco, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara (Cuba)
      MiG-17AS Fresco-A, Fuerza Aérea Revolucionara
      = For SF2, (Hopefully, For Any and All with Access to the MiG-17 Fresco-A)
      This is a re-packaging of the MiG-17AS, (iirc) by Starfighter2, as used by the Cuban Air Force. His original readme is also included, for you history buffs. As the FAR were the only users of the 17AS, this is a 'nationalized' version; both the _data.ini and Userlist.ini reflect this.
      It makes use of (almost) all stock items, in particular the Fresco-A's lod. So make sure the plane-jane MiG-17 (no suffix letter) is available in your game install. In a pinch, you can edit the main ini to point to the MiG-17F lods, as they are mapped identically (don't forget to rename the skin maps to match the 17F's). A slightly revamped/repainted version of the "F6 Pylon" pak has been included for the outboard Atoll mounts.
      The skin is a base natural metal, with a partly repainted (from a partial template) tail bmp to add the FAR rudder flash. New Bort number decals have been created for the approx 40 used by the FAR (*note: this number of aircraft may have also included standard Fresco-A and Fresco-C). These numbers are 'best guess', as only a few listings had been found during my research. The font used is also the closest match I could find.
      The cockpit is Ordway's Mig Pit. The avionics ini has been 'tweeked' to add the radar ranging gunsight. A new 'generic' MiG-17 Hangar screen is included (albeit with Soviet markings on the aircraft). The canopy has also been activated via a manual animation key (use shift/0 to open and close it)
      As always, please READ the enclosed 'readme' for full, detailed install instructions.
      Good Hunting!
    4. Yak-38M_85
      Yak-38M Beta Version
      by: Krizis
      This model represents the "improved" variant of the Yak-38 Forger, the Yak-38M.
      Work on the '38M began in 1982, with an eye towards minimizing, if not eliminating, the deficiencies of its predecessor.
      By the time of its introduction in June of 1985, the improvements included a more potent power plant, the Soyuz-Tumansky R-28-300, as well as more powerful lift engines (2 x Rybinsk RD-38 turbo-jets). A steerable nose wheel, an increased load-carrying capacity on all wing hard points, and enlarged intakes rounded out the list.
      All the improvements resulted in a marked improvement in the aircraft's reliability and overall performance, and some of the earlier models were rebuilt to the updated standards of the 'M.
      TO INSTALL:
      Simply drag the two supplied folders, "Sounds" and "Objects", into your User Name/Saved Games/Thirdwire/SF2x folder.
      RELEASE NOTES:
      This model will not by available in any in-game missions or campaigns until late June of 1985, and will be unavailable after July of 1991.
      The loadout provided is as correct as I could make, given the limitations of the series, and the availabilty of some models (namely multiple ejector racks and missile guidence pods)
      The flight dynamics model is based on the Thirdwire flight model, with a few tweaks to reflect the up-rated capabilities of the M-model, as well as tweaks in thrust placement, thrust values, and flap values to allow for a smooth transition from vertical to horizontal flight, even under hard mode. Despite this, I recommend using a full HOTAS in conjunction with rudder pedals, or at least a HOTAS with a "twist" rudder axis.
      KNOWN ISSUES:
      1) There is no wing-fold, nor canopy animation for this model, as Krizis never sent me a completed LOD file with animation IDs defined for those features. Hopefully, he will see this release and come back to finish the model.
      2) The Cockpit, which was provided by Stary, presently lacks a working gunsight. This may be resolved sometime in September of 2014, as which point I'll release a revised model.
      3) The model is set up by default for SF2NA, which considers strike missions to be anti-ship missions. Otherwise, electing an "anti-ship" mission in SF2NA, may result in a game crash. The loadout.ini file that is provided with this release is configured for easy editing, so that you can enable conventional strike and anti-ship missions in the other SF2 titles.
      4) The AI in this series will not use the VTOL capabilities of any aircraft model, so this aircraft is equipped with a virtual tail-hook to allow it to land on the 1143-series aviation cruisers (Kiev, et all). CA-member Snailman has a fixed data ini for the Kiev in our uploads section, that simulates a VTOL "launch".
      CREDITS:
      Krizis: 3D model and grey texture-set.
      Stary: Cockpit
      Fubar512: ini work and sound effects.
      Lindr: Kh-23 ASM model.
      The Trooper: Red7001 pilot model
    6. Sukhoi Su-11 "Fishpot-C"
      The Su-11 was an upgraded version of the Sukhoi Su-9 ('Fishpot') interceptor, which had been developed in parallel with the OKB's swept wing Su-7 fighter bomber.
      Recognizing the Su-9's fundamental limitations, Sukhoi began work on the Su-11, which first flew in 1961 as the T-47 prototype.
      The Su-11 shared the Su-9's delta wing, swept tailplanes and cigar-shaped fuselage, as well as the circular nose intake, but had a longer nose to accommodate the more powerful 'Oryol' (Eagle; NATO reporting name 'Skip Spin') radar set.
      A more powerful Lyulka AL-7F-1 turbojet was installed, providing 9.8 kN (2,210 lbf) more afterburning thrust for improved climb rate and high-altitude performance (and to compensate for increased weight).
      The Su-11 can be distinguished from the Su-9 by the external fuel pipes atop the fuselage, aft of the cockpit.
      The Su-9's beam-riding K-5 missiles were replaced by a pair of R-98 (AA-3 'Anab') weapons, usually one R-98MR semi-active radar homing and one R-98MT infrared guided. Like many interceptors of the period, it had no cannon.
      WHAT'S IN:
      - old Pasko's SU-11 upgraded: canopy & shadow bug fixed
    7. Yak-25RV Mandrake [REVAMP]
      Yak-25RV NATO reporting name Mandrake
      High altitude reconnaissance version with new wing and camera and sensor packs in the fuselage. Some may have retained one cannon. 155 aircraft built (Wikipedia).
      I´ve started this template some months ago, then Stary teased me with a pit he was making, which eventually led me to complete the template.
      The model as is, is the one of Pasko´s Old Yaks, it has some imperfections you will have to live with as i was unable to fix.
      1 High res skin has been made on my part along with the numbers, but the real Star here was Stary, giving a whole new feel to the plane with the cockpit he made.
      Also, must credit my good friend Daniel "Cocas" Liebaert, who let me use a MiG-17 seat we have for another soon to release project.
      The rest, of the people who worked in this project, i will need to send me a PM so i can include them here.
      Hope you like it and let´s beef our Red Army!!!
    10. An-12 "CUB" & bonus An-8 "CAMP"
      The Antonov An-12 (NATO reporting name: Cub) is a four-engined turboprop transport aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It is the military version of the Antonov An-10 and was made in many variants.
      The first prototype flew in December 1957. Over 900 had been built, in both military and civilian versions, before production finally ended in 1973. The An-12BP entered Soviet military service in 1959. In terms of configuration, size and capability, the aircraft is similar to the United States-built Lockheed C-130 Hercules. Military Soviet and former-Soviet examples have a defensive tail gun turret.
      Bonus Plane:
      The Antonov An-8 (NATO reporting name: Camp) is a Soviet-designed twin-turboprop-engine high-wing light military transport aircraft.
      The first production aircraft was rolled out in December 1958.
      The majority of An-8s built served in the Soviet Air Forces, with two An-8s being used to land special forces to seize Plzen airport during the Invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.Others were used as electronic reconnaissance aircraft, and one aircraft was used for air sampling following Chinese nuclear testing in 1966.They continued in large scale use on front-line military duties in the Soviet Air Force until the 1970s.
    11. Tu-4 Bull SF-2 pack
      The Tupolev Tu-4 (NATO reporting name: Bull) was a piston-engined Soviet strategic bomber
      that served the Soviet Air Force from the late 1940s to mid 1960s.
      It was a reverse-engineered copy of the U.S.-made Boeing B-29 Superfortress.
      What's in:
      -Tu-4 main production version, originally designated B-4. PLAAF H-4.
      -Tu-4A nuclear capable bomber used to test Soviet RDS-1, RDS-3 and RDS-5 nuclear bombs.
      The standard Tu-4 was not capable of carrying these weapons.
      -Tu-4K/KS anti-shipping version, armed with KS-1 Komet missiles carried between the engines under the wings.
      -Tu-4R long range reconnaissance.
      This work began only as a limited skinwork for bringing to Jon a better bomber to use in Formosa and TSF.
      But after all serials were made, I remade and upgraded all 4 versions.
      Especially the Tu-k now fitted with pylons for KS-1 Kometa and Tu-4A with RDS-3 nuke bomb.
      Credits:
      - MontyCz for original model
      - Lindr2 for the SF1 version
      - Eburger68 for first SF-2 edits (Nato)
      - new decals, skins and edits are mine.
      Install:
      As usual all in main mod folder.
      I hope this will be usefull in NATO, TSF & Formosa campaigns making ....
      Enjoy!
      This is the long awaited MiG-25 interceptor models upgrade. Sadly the new model and the new proper pit seem disappeared, as some other dreamed great preview planes, like vaporware.
      But now we have these "oldies but goldies" revamped ...
      And if you'ld like to fly for freedoom as Lt. Belenko you can do as his plane is inside the pack.
      As I remember well when the most feared soviet MiG, landed on Hakhodate Japan airport ....
      Old glory, good, cold war years, when you'ld see your enemy quite straight in his icy eyes.
      Enjoy.
    14. Polish Wings. MiG-21 Fishbeds.
      This is total pack of MiG-21 used by Polish Air Force.
      Polish Fishbeds version F-13, PF, PFM, M, MF, bis and R.
      Pack is not including two seaters U, US and UM. Unfortunately.
      First of all this is huge pack due to skins and decals..
      after unpakcing it is little above 1GB.
      Pack is using standard TW models and full merged instal is recomended.
      All skins are based on great templates by.comrad. http://combatace.com/files/file/14482-mig-21-mfsm-temps/
      Ive made few changes to PF/PFM and F-13 models.
      INI files are borrowed from MiG-21 Complete pack by ataribaby - http://combatace.com/files/file/9488-mig-21-complete-pack-sf2-18/
      FM is (i think) medium setings from Fubar512 settings.
      Cockpits and avionics are from Paladrian MiG-21 set
      All aircrafts have additional avionics and cockpit ini files for easy way (ccip etc)
      I have edited data ini files as follows:
      All aircrafts have nation set to Poland.
      All aircrafts have edited weaponstations by weight and diameter limits and specific station code. I've separated stations for irm, bombs,fuel tanks etc. So bombs do not apear on missile launchers, also ive corrected some weight limits.
      Ive added all weapons moded / required for this pack.
      Exept for:
      GP-9,PTB-800S MiG-21 Center pylon. although GP-9 have new skin.
      All Air to Air weapons are adited to work only with this pack. So not all weapons can be loaded. Ive set only those A2A weapons as used by Polish Air Force.
      R-13 Rockets can be fired only by MiG-21bis.
      R-3R can be carried only by MiG-21bis due to RP-22 radar.
      R-60 shouldn't be carried by F-13 but it makes mess with editing. so somehow its possible to load.
      As for air-ground weapons it uses standard weapons like OFABs, FABs, ZABs, UB-series rocket pods etc.
      Fake Pilot mod is required to have proper MiG-21R. (althought Polish R had periscopes on canopy instaled)
      New skin for GP-9 gun pod. for PF model.
      GP-9 for PFM model is separated and is loaded as gun pod. Node is part of aircraft.
      New PTB-490 fuel tank.
      PTB-800 fuel tank is like in other available packs - can be carried by some late Polish MiGs.
      MiG-21bis and MiG-21MF /96A00/ can carry SPS-141Je pod (as addon to ECM pod you can (should) load ASO-2I-E7P decoy dispenser - it is part of SPS in real)
      RS-2US is main "unfortunate" air to air weapon for all early models exept F-13 (it has no radar) and bis (it has RP-22 radar and can fire R-3R)
      Reco pod as same as in other pack available before - new skin for D type pod.
      All weapon loadout.ini files are much "what if" as Polish Air Force never operated MiG-21 in any coinflict.
      New PTB-490 and SPS-141Je are made by me.
      Models
      MiG-21F-13 /model-74/ - first delivered to Polish Air Force Fishbed. 25 delivered.
      MiG-21PF /model 76/ - 84 delivered between 1964-1966.
      MiG-21PFM /model-94A/ - 120 delivered between 1964-1969.
      MiG-21PFM (N) /model-94N/ - 12 delivered, capable of delivering special bomb. It was equipped with different center pylon allowing ot carry tactical nukes. later downgraded to PFM standard.
      MiG-21R /model-94R/ - 36 delivered between 1968-1972.
      MiG-21M /model-96/ - 36 delivered between 1968-1971.
      MiG-21MF /model-96A/ - 100 deliverd between 1971-1974.
      MiG-21MF /model-96A00/ - 20 delivered in 1995. Long history behind this aircrafts. In short - all aircrafts were supposed for different country with ongoing war...delivered to Poland small diferences in avionics - capable to carry SPS-141Je Siren electronic countermeasure station.
      MiG-21bis /model-75A/ - 72 delivered between 1980-1982. Only Fishbed with R-13 engine and RP-22 radar station.
      All skins are as jpg 2048x2048 format. With national markings painted. (different insignia for aircrafts up to 1993) and new one 1993 onward.
      All decals are made by me and are historicaly correct and matched to specific units and service year.
      Polish MiGs were transfered from unit to unit (sometiems only virtualy) so its is also big mess with serial numbers. Also somewhere in mid 80s it was allowed to pint squadron insignia on airframe. when aircraft was transfered to new unit it usualty retained old squadron insignia.. in 90s some aircrafts got insignia of 3 diferent units...
      Polish MiG were silver/grey and not much color here. Although few were wearing special paintjobs. And those are also included (few of them).
      During maintenace aicrafts received some paint using some different shades of grey...but here all are silver grey.
      Al Polish MiGs-21 when delivered were equipped with R-11 engine and RP-21 station exept MiG-21 bis model - equipped with R-13 engine and newer RP-22 radar station.
      Pack also uses:
      KV-1 seat by AmokFloo
      Weapons ravenclaw and others from CA.
      PBP-2-3S Monsun rack by logan4
      MBD2 - bomb rack by Snailman.
      Pilots by TheTrooper. Repainted and renamed.
      SPO-3 pod for MiG-21R by Spillone104
      All credits and hails to creator of reco pods!
      Also all credits to creators of other stuff that I forot to mention.
      Again all credits to you guys who made this game so good after years. Thanks for yours work,
      report bugs and missing files.
    15. SF2 MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers - Part 3
      SF2 MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers - Part 3
      This mod supplies a collection of MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers, created by ArmourDave and The Mirage Factory, and heavily modded by Lindr2 for SFP1. (These are not mods of the 3rdWire Floggers supplied in the SF2 titles.) All have been converted and updated to SF2 standards. Also included with this mod are all the weapons, sounds, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft supplied with this mod.
      This mod consists of three parts:
      Part 1: 1st Generation MiG-23s (MiG-23S, Mig-23M, MiG-23ME, MiG-23MF,
      MiG-23MF, MiG-23UB)
      Part 2: 2nd Generation MiG-23s (MiG-23ML, MiG-23MLA, MiG-23MLAE, MiG-23P,
      MiG-23PD, MiG-23-98, MiG-23UM)
      Part 3: Ground Attack MiG-23s (MiG-23B, MiG-23BN) & MiG-27s (MiG-27,
      MiG-27D, MiG-27K, MiG-27M, MiG-27ML)
      Each of the three parts includes all the decals, pilots, sounds, effects that you will need for the aircraft in that part. The WEAPONS are contained ONLY IN THE 2ND PART, which means that you MUST DOWNLOAD THE 2ND PART TO GET THE WEAPONS.
      These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, or SF2I. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Installation
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Please note that installation of these aircraft will overwrite & replace the default 3rdWire versions included in the various SF2 titles. I recommend that you first REMOVE the 3rdWire MiG-23 and MiG-27 versions - even if you haven't modded them -- before installing these alternate versions.
      To install, simply drag the following folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to):
      \Effects
      \Flight
      \Objects
      \Sounds
      By default your Mod Folder should be located here:
      Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows Vista: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows 7: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      ...where [username] is the account you log into within Windows and [Game] is the name of the particular game mod folder that you're moving the files to.
      If the aircraft are not showing up in your Single Mission Aircraft menu, then you didn't install all the bits correctly. And remember, the WEAPONS are contained ONLY IN THE 2ND PART, which means that you MUST DOWNLOAD THE 2ND PART TO GET THE WEAPONS.
      A Few Notes About This Mod
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

      Those familiar with Lindr2's Flogger packages for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated mod builds on his earlier efforts. Although I have largely followed Lindr2's lead in assembling this package, there are some noteworthy differences between his SFP1 collections and this one:

      1) Different Engine Sounds & Afterburner TGAs

      I have used different engine sounds and afterburner TGAs to give the various engines used by different models distinct sounds and appearances.

      2) NATO Code Names

      The aircraft names do include the NATO code names, whereas Lindr2's SFP1 versions did not use them at all. Also, the Air-to-Air weapons use both NATO and Soviet names/designations (e.g., "R-73 AA-11 Archer").

      3) Wider range of Skins/Nations

      You will find a wider range of skins used to represent more nations, drawing on the various one-off skins that have been released by other modders.

      Credits & Acknowledgements
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      This package largely consists of work done by others and released previously in other packages. All I did was assemble the package, update the bits to SF2 standards, and make minor adjustments and tweaks here and there (discussed above).
    16. Yak-23 "Flora"
      The Yak-23 was developed as a simple lightweight jet fighter, on Yakovlev's own initiative.
      It was a development of the earlier Yak-15 and Yak-17 fighters, retaining their non-conventional layout with a jet engine in the fuselage nose and exhaust under the cockpit, but the construction was all new.
      Its wings were derived from the Yak-19.
      The Yak-23 used a Soviet copy of the British Rolls-Royce Derwent V turbojet engine, produced as the Klimov RD-500. It first flew on July 8, 1947.
      After successful flights, it underwent state trials in 1948 and was accepted for series production.
      It was evaluated as highly maneuverable, with a good acceleration and take-off and climb capabilities thanks to high thrust-to-weight ratio.
      Faults were poor directional stability at speeds around Mach 0.86 and lack of cockpit pressurization.
      Despite being one of the best straight-wing jet fighters, it was inferior to new swept-wing designs.
    19. SF2 MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers - Part 1
      SF2 MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers - Part 1
      This mod supplies a collection of MiG-23 & MiG-27 Floggers, created by ArmourDave and The Mirage Factory, and heavily modded by Lindr2 for SFP1. (These are not mods of the 3rdWire Floggers supplied in the SF2 titles.) All have been converted and updated to SF2 standards. Also included with this mod are all the weapons, sounds, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft supplied with this mod.
      This mod consists of three parts:
      Part 1: 1st Generation MiG-23s (MiG-23S, Mig-23M, MiG-23ME, MiG-23MF,
      MiG-23MF, MiG-23UB)
      Part 2: 2nd Generation MiG-23s (MiG-23ML, MiG-23MLA, MiG-23MLAE, MiG-23P,
      MiG-23PD, MiG-23-98, MiG-23UM)
      Part 3: Ground Attack MiG-23s (MiG-23B, MiG-23BN) & MiG-27s (MiG-27,
      MiG-27D, MiG-27K, MiG-27M, MiG-27ML)
      Each of the three parts includes all the decals, pilots, sounds, effects that you will need for the aircraft in that part. The WEAPONS are contained ONLY IN THE 2ND PART, which means that you MUST DOWNLOAD THE 2ND PART TO GET THE WEAPONS.
      These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, or SF2I. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Installation
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Please note that installation of these aircraft will overwrite & replace the default 3rdWire versions included in the various SF2 titles. I recommend that you first REMOVE the 3rdWire MiG-23 and MiG-27 versions - even if you haven't modded them -- before installing these alternate versions.
      To install, simply drag the following folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to):
      \Effects
      \Flight
      \Objects
      \Sounds
      By default your Mod Folder should be located here:
      Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows Vista: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      Windows 7: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\
      ...where [username] is the account you log into within Windows and [Game] is the name of the particular game mod folder that you're moving the files to.
      If the aircraft are not showing up in your Single Mission Aircraft menu, then you didn't install all the bits correctly. And remember, the WEAPONS are contained ONLY IN THE 2ND PART, which means that you MUST DOWNLOAD THE 2ND PART TO GET THE WEAPONS.
      A Few Notes About This Mod
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    20. IL-76 Candid

      ATT!!! before downloading if you have the old one , Erase completely including decal folder ,as this replaces all.
      The Ilyushin Il-76 (NATO reporting name: Candid) is a multi-purpose four-engine turbofan strategic airlifter designed by the Ilyushin design bureau. It was first planned as a commercial freighter in 1967, as a replacement for the Antonov An-12. It was designed for delivering heavy machinery to remote, poorly served areas of the USSR. Military versions of the Il-76 have seen widespread use in Europe, Asia and Africa, including use as an airborne refueling tanker or as a command center.

    21. IL-28R

      IL-28R

      After Ilyushin had developed a two-pilot trainer version of the Il-28 Beagle,
      they turned their attention to developing a reconnaissance version known as the Il-28R which first flew on 19 Apr 1950.
      The Il-28R was equipped with a camera suite in the bomb bay, together with mountings for am portside oblique camera in the rear fuselage.
      Various day or night cameras could be carried and for night photography 12 flares were also carried in the rear of the bomb bay.
      Fitting a larger fuselage fuel tank, which abutted into the rear of the bomb bay and by adding wingtip tanks, increased the range of the Il-28R.
      Although the rear tail gunner was retained, the right nose cannon was removed and replaced with camera controls – the bomb aiming radar was also removed.
      Production of the Il-28R was authorised in late 1951 and it soon entered VVS service.

    22. Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21BisD CroAF

      The MiG-21BisD (the D stands for "Doraden" = revised/upgraded) is an upgraded version of the MiG-21Bis that serves in the Croatian air force since 2003. The first upgrade was done by Romanian firm Aerostar where the Fishbeds got their distinctive
      olive-green-grey camo and NATO compatible communication, navigation and F.O.F. systems. The second upgrade was done in 2014/2015 in Ukraine by Ukrspetsexport. The 12 (BisD and UMD) airframes were only refurbished and painted a light grey. These MiG-21s will be in active service until 2020 when they are to be replaced by a new 4th generation jet fighter (probably the Next Generation Gripen).

      A Few Notes About This Package
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Those familiar with Lindr2's Fitter packages for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated package builds on his earlier efforts. Although I have largely followed Lindr2's lead in assembling this package, there are some noteworthy differences between his SFP1 collections and this one:
      1) Limited use of AmokFloo's Su-17M model
      Where Lindr2 used AmokFloo's Su-17M (from 2008) to represent the -17, -17M, -17M2, -20A, -20B, and -22F, I have opted to use ArmourDave's earlier Su-17 model (from 2003) for the -20A, -20B, and -22F. Although AmokFloo's model is arguably better-suited in many ways to stand in for those early export versions, ArmourDave's model has a wider range of skins available to represent the various user nations of those aircraft. Sadly, there appear to be only three skins available for AmokFloo's model. If someone wants to do more skins for AmokFloo's model, I would be happy to release an updated version of this pack to make use of them.
      2) Adjusted weapon stations and loadouts
      Again, I have largely followed Lindr2' lead in this area, but I have adjusted the attachment positions of some weapon stations (esp. on ArmourDave's Su-17 model) and made some changes to the default loadouts for most aircraft. In particular, the loadouts for center fuselage stations needed changes, because with size of the PTB-800 or Tank600_Su-7 drop tanks, there simply isn't enough room to load both tanks and weapons on the front and back fuselage stations. The default loadouts load weapons (rockets, bombs) on all four stations or tanks alone on the rear stations, but never a mix of weapons and tanks on front and rear. Note that the Loadout screen *will* let you load the fuselage stations with weapons and tanks simultaneously -- just don't do that. (And, if you do, don't complain to me about the unsightly result.)
      3) Wider range of skins/nations
      You will find a wider range of skins used to represent more nations. I am not an expert on the operational history of the swing-wing Fitters. Still less am I a skilled texture artist, so I make no claim that these skins are 100% historically accurate in their depiction of these aircraft as used by so many different nations. I did consult online references and looked at quite a few photos while putting together this package, and I do think it represents a general improvement over what was available before. If you've got better data and/or better skins, please do share -- I'd be happy to do an updated, more accurate version of the package.
    25. SF2 KAW Tu-2 "Bat" by Cocas
      The Tupolev Tu-2 was a medium bomber used by Soviet Air Force in WW2. Surplus Tu-2s were delivered to Chinese PLAAF post-war and organized into 3 bomber air divisions. During the Korean War, the 8th and 10th division conducted 3 air raids on Nov. 6th, 29th and 30th, 1951, against UN troops on Taehwa-do island, located about 70km southeast of the mouth of Yalu River. The first raid was most successful achieving acclaimed 90% hit rate. The third raid was intercepted by 4th FIW Sabres with heavy losses. Daylight sorties with prop driven bombers were thus phased out by both sides in the jet age.
