      CJ-6B of the PLAAF
      A great aircraft.Some CJ-6s have weapons,2X7.62mm machinegun,2 bombs.
I changed the two machineguns into cannons, for 7.62mm is not powerful enough in WOE.

BTW,this plane is "heavy and slow" in WOE,in fact,CJ-6 is a very quick and light plane, and very easy to control.
      The FM need some tweak.

    4. Corsair GR.2 - RAF Strike Command

LTV Corsair GR.2 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 1
This is a simple re-paint and 'ini' edit of Florian's (Amokfloo) superb TA-7E Corsair II to give a 'what-if' Corsair GR.2 of the Royal Air Force circa 1975. I did this skin back in 2008 and apologise for it being a bit rough but I just love the RAF camo schemes of that era and slightly later, especially with the 'B' type (Blue/Red) roundels. Apart from adding a screenshot for the downloads section I've just added some serial numbers.
Anyway, Florian's original readme is below and I'd like to thank him for his good work and also echo his thanks
      to triplethr3at and Armourdave.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the CORSAIRGR2 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the CORSAIRGR2 into your Decals folder.

    8. EA-18G Growler

Plucked straight from the readme file...

      EA-18G Growler
      Model By:Erin_Hans/101TFS
      Paint/decals/tweaks:WombRaider
      Testing:STORM

      ///////--------------------------------

A little history of the EA-18G.....

The E/A-18G is the Navy's replacement for the EA-6B Airborne Electronic Attack aircraft and represents an entirely new way of looking at legacy aircraft replacement. Leveraging existing production capabilities at Boeing and Northrop Grumman, the Navy is using the F/A-18E/F MYC to buy an additional quantity of 'F' Aircraft, and marrying those airframes with Northrop Grumman's in-production Improved Capabilities (ICAP)- III Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) system to produce the E/A- 18G to replace the aging EA-6B aircraft. This allows us to deliver the next generation Airborne Electronic Attack capability at reduced cost and in the shortest possible timeframe. The Marine Corps is examining a range of possibilities that will provide the needed capability.

In late September 2006 the Boeing Company delivered the first EA-18G Growler airborne electronic attack (AEA) aircraft to the US Navy test site at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. The first EA-18G, known as aircraft EA-1, made the two-hour flight from St. Louis to Maryland with U.S. Navy pilot Lt. Matt Doyle and weapons system operator U.S. Navy Cmdr. Jamie Engdahl on board. EA-1 is the first of two test aircraft built under a System Development and Demonstration contract Boeing signed with the Navy on Dec. 29, 2003. In addition to flight testing, EA-1 will undergo extensive ground testing in the Patuxent River anechoic chamber to assess on-board radar, receiver and jammer compatibility and performance. The second EA-18G will join the flight test program at Patuxent River later this year.

The E/A-18G is the fourth major variant of the F/A-18 family of aircraft. The EA-18G will serve as the Navy's replacement for the EA-6B providing a capability to detect, identify, locate, and suppress hostile emitters. The EA-18G will have the capability to operate autonomously or as a major node in a network-centric operation and will provide accurate emitter targeting for employment of onboard suppression weapons such as the High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM). Prime contractors are Boeing Aircraft Corporation of St. Louis, MO for the airframe and General Electric Company, Aircraft Engine Division of Lynn, MA for the engines. Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, NY is a major subcontractor.

The EA-18 will perform full-spectrum electronic surveillance and electronic attack of enemy threat radars and communications nets. The EA-18 leverages the U.S. Navy's investment in the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet platform. A derivative of the two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet - a platform which is in production today - the EA-18 is a highly flexible design that enables the warfighter to perform a broad range of tactical missions, operating from either the deck of an aircraft carrier or land-based fields. The EA-18 is 99 percent common with the Super Hornet and would be expected to significantly reduce support and training costs for the US Navy.

The EA-18G's electronic attack upgrades will meet EA-6B (ALQ-218, ALQ-99, USQ-113) Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) capability to detect, identify, locate and suppress hostile emitters; provide enhanced connectivity to National, Theater and Strike assets; and provide organic precision emitter targeting for employment of onboard suppression weapons High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) to fulfill operational requirements. The man in the loop operation and advanced information display system will allow real time assessment of the tactical situation and the appropriate response executed in accordance with the rules of engagement. The performance of the aircraft is compatible with the primary strike/fighter aircraft projected to be in the inventory in the 2010 time period, allowing it to be fully integrated into specific strike packages. It will also have the capacity to provide broad area coverage for extended periods of time to support numerous strikes or other air operations in a federated context. The EA-18G is being designed to perform a range of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack functions either simultaneously or independently.

The F/A-18G had minor shortcomings relative to the EA-6B ICAP-III baseline of the Advanced Electronic Attack (AEA) Analysis of Alternatives study. By incorporating alterations, such as inclusion of a digital receiver system, complete communications electronic attack system, and routable network information system, this valid core can become a viable force for the future. The mission radius and time on station figures with typical air defense suppression loads are nearly identical. AEA system components designed for the EA -6B ICAP-III were easily adaptable for use in the F/A-18G. An initial study of the electro-magnetic interference susceptibility for the F/A-18G was concluded with favorable results. Although the LR-700 can be adapted for use in this airframe, a digital implementation revolutionizes electronic surveillance with low probability of intercept radar and complex modulation waveform detection, coherent jamming capability, active cancellation look through, and specific emitter identification. An internet protocol routable network approach is introduced as a possible means to seamless connectivity and fully integrated data picture. The multi-role capability of the F/A-18G will provide synergistic strike and survivability advantages as well as training and readiness challenges. A quantification of overall effectiveness demonstrates the F/A-18G is a viable EA -6B follow-on and AEA platform.

The EA-18 was the only alternative to the EA-6B based on a derivative from an in-production, aircraft carrier adept aircraft. It has the basic tactical capabilities of the F/A-18F Super Hornet coupled with the enhanced electronic attack capability of the ICAP III Prowler. The EA-18 will eliminate the type model series airplane off the flight deck. The configuration of the airplane in terms of capability will be equivalent to what is anticipated in the EA-6B with ICAP III installed, and a concentration on the LR-700 receiver, which will allow tracking of threats. Instead of pre-emptive jamming it will provide selective reactive jamming.

The airplane, though dedicated to the electronic attack mission, can be changed from an EA back to an 'F' with relative ease and vice versa. It allows flexibility on the flight deck. You can use up a certain portion of the life of the airplane flying it as an electronic attack airplane, and then shift missions, and use another section as a fighter. There is certainly a big difference in fighting Iraq with a strong intergraded jamming system compared to fighting in Afghanistan.

The EA-18 will retain everything in it that the F/A-18F Super Hornet has today with two exceptions. The wing tip stations will have receiving antennas. The gun will be replaced with avionics boxes containing the LR-700 receiver and satellite communications, which interface with the ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System pods.

The EA-18 is based on the two-seat F/A-18F with the Block 2 avionics upgrades, including active-array radar and advanced rear crew station, already under development for the Super Hornet. Production cost on a unit flyaway basis will be 15-18% more than a basic F/A-18F in then-year dollars. An EA-18 will cost $7-9 million more, based on the nominal Super Hornet unit price of $50 million by the end of the current multi-year procurement contract. Concurrent production of EA-18s and E/Fs would further reduce the Super Hornet's price. The company estimated that, if 12 EA-18s are built each year alongside 48 E/Fs, the cost of each E/F would be reduced by up to $3 million. The US Navy would see operating and support savings, with the EA-18 expected to cost $7,400/h to operate, compared with over S17,000/h for the EA-6B.

The EA-18G aircraft, chosen to augment electronic attack capabilities across the services and replace the Navy's EA-6B, will be a missionized F/A-18F airframe to provide capabilities to detect, identify, and locate hostile radio frequency emitters in order to direct jamming against radar and communications threats, and to fire suppression weapons such as High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARMs). The EA-18G incorporates a version of the airborne electronic attack (AEA) suite developed for the Improved Capability (ICAP) III EA-6B upgrade. The Navy plans to include a newly configured Communications Countermeasure Set as a replacement for the USQ-113.

The EA-18 was selected to replace the EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft to provide an Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA). The EA-6B will begin retirement in the 2010 timeframe, after a career that exceeded 40 years of deployments in support of USN, USMC, and USAF strike forces. As of early 2000, Defense Department planning for replacing the EA-6B Prowler include a scheme under which the Navy would buy an F/A-18G "Growler" -- an F/A-18E/F modified for escort and close-in jamming. The Air Force would provide standoff jamming with modified EB-52s or EB-1s, and close-in jamming with unmanned air vehicles such as the Northrop Grumman Global Hawk or General Atomics Predator.

The DoD's only air-based EA jamming capability was provided by 123 EA-6B Prowlers. It was projected that these 123 aircraft will no longer adequately support required Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) missions beyond the year 2010 due to attrition and airframe life limits. In order to maintain the tactical advantage over enemy air defenses, the DoD must augment and ultimately replace its aging and diminishing fleet of EA-6B aircraft with an equal or better AEA capability.

The EA-18 is the result of an engineering design, development and test effort that began in late 1993. This effort has included avionics and aircraft conceptual design, engineering analysis, high- and low-speed wind tunnel testing, electromagnetic interference/compatibility laboratory testing, antenna range testing and extensive crew-vehicle interface development.

In November 2001 Boeing successfully completed an initial flight demonstration of its EA-18 Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) concept aircraft. The test used an F/A-18F Super Hornet to carry three ALQ-99 jamming pods and two fuel tanks while measuring noise and vibration data and assessing aircraft flying qualities.

In April 2002 Boeing completed the third successful flight demonstration of its EA-18 Airborne Electronic Attack concept aircraft. The test, conducted April 5, used an F/A-18F Super Hornet to carry three ALQ-99 jamming pods and two fuel tanks while measuring noise and vibration data and assessing aircraft flying qualities. Boeing teammate, Northrop Grumman, instrumented the ALQ-99 jamming pods to gather the noise and vibration information. The combination of a validated design, proven platform and proven electronics positioned the EA-18 program to begin a system development and demonstration phase in 2003.

    10. Eagle F.1 RAF Binbrook

McDonnell Douglas Eagle F.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 1
This is a simple mod of the stock F-15A Eagle to give a 'what if' Eagle F.1 interceptor fighter with markings for No.5 and No.11 squadrons of No.11 Group of the RAF as they might have appeared in the late 1970's.
This mod will only work with 'Wings Over Europe'. If you have 'Wings Over Israel' then it can be hacked into shape by a little bit of editing to point to the appropriate stock 'Baz' LOD's and files and also swapping the Skyflash missiles for Sparrows in the loadout.ini.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the EagleF1 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      That's it!

    13. Egyptian Air Force F-16 block 40

      Info:
The Egyptian Air Force operates 220 F-16s, making it the 4th largest F-16 operator in the world. The F-16 is the EAF's primary frontline aircraft, and is used for both air defence and ground attack.

In June of 1990, Egypt signed an order for 35 block 40 F-16C's and 12 Block 40 F-16D's, powered by the General Electric F110 turbofan. This order was under Peace Vector III, and these planes were intended to equip two squadrons as well as to make up for attrition. The first Peace Vector III F-16s were delivered to Egypt in October of 1991.

By 1997, all Egyptian F-16 aircraft were (or were being) modified to block 42 standard (see 'Modifications'). Since Egyptian Air Force F-16s were acquired under Foreign Military Sales, they carry USAF serial numbers for administrative purpose. In service, they carry a four-digit EAF serial number on their vertical tails.

    15. F-110A 'Wraith' Package

F-110A "Wraith" Mod Pak for SF/WoV/WoE

A "What If..." Cold War Aircraft

First of all, I have to extend a great deal of thanks to BadFrank from the CombatAce message boards, as this entire thing was his idea!! He's also the person that found the mesh names for the rear canopy for me to get the decal on (it's also his decal, I just repainted it).

What we have here is a mod of the F-4B creating a single-seat version of the Phantom. This version is designed for US Air Force use, as a long-range missile armed interceptor, along the lines of the F-102, F-106 and even it's older brother, the F-101A Voodoo. This aircraft has NO air-to-ground capabilities, in keeping with it's role as a continential air defense interceptor.
A gun pod (SUU-16) can be loaded as they become available (later service year dates)

All items used, excepting the new weapons, are stock 3rd Wire, and are readily available in each of the varying versions of the game. It makes use of stock, albeit renamed skin files, some of which have been repainted by me. I've included them in the package, as it's easier than having the end user transfer and rename files. And again, as they're all stock items, they exist in all versions of the game. As should all the serial decals as well.

You'll be adding a couple of new 'weapons', a modified Scooter hump and a rebuild of my 'hack job' F-104 Recon Pod, now modified/renamed/tweeked for use on the Phantom.

Full, detailed instrustions on all facets of installation are in the enclosed readme, along with full credits for folks who helped out. -- so PLEASE read the cursed thing!!! It'll make your life easier, I promise you!

      Enjoy!

    18. F-14A+

      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
      | |
      | GRUMMAN F-14A+ TOMCAT |
      |
The F-14A+ Tomcat the best fleet defender. |
      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

      With the gracious permission of;

      The Mirage Factory and Olivier ANGUILLE (BPAo);

This update includes the avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 which uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities and the TCS mod. This TCS mod provides a boresighted view only and does not (yet) track selected targets. The Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) has been updated and includes the implementation originally developed by wpnssgt.

This variation of the original F-14A in one of the later operational configurations
to guard the fleet; the F-14A+. This is a minor tweak of the ini files to update the engines and radar. The F-14A+ included the same engines for the F-14D but this version did not include the air to ground capability of the F-14D. This is not the pre-production development mod but the fleet operational version which was also later referred to as the F-14B. Both the F-14A+ and the F-14B were employed in the fleet at the same time, with the F-14A+ generally deployed to the Pacific and the F-14B deployed to the Atlantic (the principle difference between the two aircraft being whether the squadron was in the Pacific or the Atlantic Fleet). This aircraft was withdrawn from fleet service in 2006 and replaced by the F-18F in the air to air role. All F-14's received air to ground capabilities in 1995 which are included in this model with the addition of conventional air to ground bombing capabilities.

The squadrons which deployed with the F-14A+ were VF-11, VF-24, VF-32, VF-74, VF-102, VF-103, VF-142 and VF-143. Those skins are not included in this file and must be downloaded and installed separately. The squadron skins included in this model are the original ones in the Mirage Factory F-14A. I recommend deleting the squadron skins in this model and loading the others. Since permission to include those skins was not given, those skins are not included here.

      export : None

Just unzip this entire folder into your WOE/Ojects/Aircraft folder.

Note -1. The avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities. This avionics70 mod does NOT work in a Wings Over Vietnam (and possibly not in Strike Fighter) only install. So if you are using a WoV install you will need to use the alternate cockpit using the avionics60 version. The TCS mod works in both versions.

Note; the missile stations are designed to pick up Active Radar Homing missiles and will employ the AIM-7 and AIM-54 series air to
air missiles. The model here will also pick up the AIM-120 series in the sim, but the aircraft was never wired or certified to
carry that missile. So if you want the realism, don't load that one.

      Good hunting!

    19. F-14D pylon fix and realistic flight frame

This is just a .ini update for the F-14D made by Typhoid, to wich i made some fixes:

      -Wing spoilers work realistically*.
-Stabilizers work as roll controll too, like on the real plane.
      -Wing sweep is slower.
-Weapon position fixed on the phoenix pylons.
-"Neutralized" the glove wings (the little triangular siwing wings above the intakes, since in the D version those where actually removed).
      -**Added LANTIRN capability.
      -**Added TARPS capability.

*This means that the plane acts (with the flight model option in hard) as it should on real life, i.e. slower roll at speeds above 400 knots, as well the spoilers won't move at such speeds.

**This were already updated by Typhoid, done by him; But since i didn't knew that update was released until a few days ago i made that fix myself. Still the credit goes to Typhoid

      That's basically it. Enjoy

    20. F-14D V1.4

      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
      | |
      | GRUMMAN F-14D TOMCAT |
      |
The F-14D Tomcat the best fleet defender and for going "downtown" to turn infrastructure into rubble. |
      +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

      With the gracious permission of;

      The Mirage Factory and Olivier ANGUILLE (BPAo);

Version 1.4 with TCS mod and updated flight model changes. This TCS mod provides a boresighted view only and does not (yet) track selected targets. The Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) has been updated and includes the implementation originally developed by wpnssgt. Flight model updates developed by Aleckx have also been incorporated which more accurately represents the fleet operational F-14D.

This is an update of the earlier F-14D mod to the Mirage Factory F-14A and corrects several inaccuracies. The earlier F-14D release more closely represented the capabilities of the "Quick Strike variant which never actually went further than "view-graph engineering" and would have been a half step to the later Tomcat-21 which also never made it off of the drawing boards. If you like that variation you may wish to rename it as the Quick Strike 2, recognizing that it never actually flew. Land Warrior also has uploaded a Quick Strike version.

This variation of the original F-14A represents the capabilities of the last operational configuration to guard the fleet; the F-14D "Bombcat", which included the capability to drop bombs and laser guided bombs. Other advanced weapons available at the time, such as Mavericks and Harms, were never incorporated into the F-14D due to budget limitations. The F-14D's strike debut was in Operation Desert Fox that went into Iraq against chemical weapons facilities identified by the UN teams in 1998. This aircraft was withdrawn from fleet service in 2006 and replaced by the F-18F in the air to air and medium strike roles.

This release also incorporates the outstanding avionics upgrade done by Sandmartin and Batman1978, special thanks to them for their fine work and for granting permission to include that in this release.

This model is a minor tweak only of the ini files to update the engines, radars and weapons
to enable the full air to ground capabilities that were fielded in this aircraft. This does not include the detailed airframes changes of the later aircraft, that is left to a more capable modelling team at which point this version will be withdrawn. This release assumes you have already loaded the Mirage Factory F-14A, without which things like sounds will not come up.

Just unzip this entire folder into your WOE/Ojects/Aircraft folder.

Note -1. The avionics upgrade by Sandmartin and Batman1978 uses the avionics70 file to provide improved HUD and air to air radar and tracking capabilities. This mod does not have the air to surface radar capability of the earlier avionics60 file used in the earlier versions. Since the F-14D in its later years was primarily employed as a medium strike aircraft (air opposition having evaporated) the lack of an air to surface radar is a limitation of the sim with the newer avionics file. IF you like the option of having air to surface radar, the original files are included in the "Alternate Cockpit" subdirectory with a detailed read-me for how to back-up and install cockpit variations. If you like this option, let me know. Also, this avionics70 mod does NOT work in a Wings Over Vietnam only install. So if you are using a WoV install you will need to use the alternate cockpit using the avionics60 version. The TCS mod works in both versions.

Note; the missile stations are designed to pick up Active Radar Homing missiles and will employ the AIM-7 and AIM-54 series air to air missiles. The model here will also pick up the AIM-120 series in the sim, but the aircraft was never wired or certified to carry that missile. So if you want the realism, don't load that one.

This is a mod to create an F-14D version of The Wrench's what-if F-14 "Kardom" for SF:P1/WoV/WoE (sorry, don't have WoI, but you should be able to make it WoI-able with some tweaks). Please read the enclosed readme, it is very important to know how to make this aircraft work.

    23. F-15 ACTIVE for the ThirdWire Series

F-15 ACTIVE readme for the TW series.

      Version 1.0

      *************************************NOTE!!!!!****************************
If you have my old F-15 Active mod (using addon canards) this will totally replace that directory. I would recommend deleting the old F-15 ACTIVE directory so as to not cause conflicts.

Though this has a lot of stuff from the Mirage Factory, it is NOT a Mirage Factory product as it doesn't meet their standards. If there are problems, it's my fault, not theirs.
      *************************************NOTE!!!!!****************************

      Thanks to the following folks:

TK - For the ThirdWire series of sims.
The Mirage Factory - For the nice F-15D MSIP aircraft...in particular Flying Toaster, wpnssgt, and Dave for making the F-15D MAX file available for me to play with.
Kei Nagase - For the awesome skins for this aircraft...you rock!
To my fellows at Combatace and the Mirage Factory for helping me beta test and work out bugs.
Any errors or mistakes are entirely mine.

      What you will need first:

      This archive file (duh!).

Copy of SFP1/WOE/WOV/WOI patched to the latest standard (as of 06 Sep 08)

The Mirage Factory MSIP F-15 Eagles (you will need them for the cockpit): http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...p;showfile=5865

The WeaponEditor appropriate for your install. You NEED to know how to use it to get the properly colored external tanks.

      Notes and limitations.

The F-15 ACTIVE (originally the F-15 S/MTD) is a modification of a preproduction F-15B used to test various technologies to increase short field abilities, manuverability, and enhanced flight control systems.

More information can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-15S/MTD

Two LODs are included, the F-15a.LOD (in use) and the F-15ad.LOD, which is for those computers that can run it...it's mainly used to smooth out any decal issues if you decide to customize later. But be warned, it can crash computers that can't handle it.

This model was modified from wpnssgts F-15D, which in turn came from Flying Toaster's original F-15 model. As such, it also means that the skins for the MF F-15D will pretty much work normally, except for the canards. I'll leave it to you to figure out where the mappings are for those.

The following modifications have been made to the visual model:
      1) Canards
      2) Movable nozzles for thrust vectoring
      3) Drooping ailerons when flaps are extended
      4) Minor cosmetic changes
      5) I did NOT add the pitot boom...mainly because that's a test aircraft thing only...and I can see future mods coming from folks showing the ACTIVE in service. Plus, I just didn't like it.

The flight model incorperates the following:
      1) Independent thrust vectoring (NOT pitch linked). Range is 20 degrees nose up to 2 degrees nose down. Done this way due to limitations of sim and AI.
      2) Canards, including increased pitch up authority and increased yaw ability (symmetric and asymmetric movement)
      3) Drooping ailerons with flaps for better short field performance.

As of right now, the AI will not take advantage of this increased ability, mainly due to my relative newness to the FM world.

The handling is overall similar to the F-15D Eagle, however, your alpha and yaw abilities at low airspeed are significantly better. However, that also means that you can put yourself into a corner if you are not careful. Also, in Hard mode, a low to high rapid alpha pull will induce a right bank...this does not happen in Normal mode. Yaw (rudder) must be applied with discretion...the aircraft will depart if you leave it in too long.

Finally, because the aircraft has increased alpha ability, it will happily stay at 60 degrees pitch below 100 knots all day...right into the ground. Don't be thinking you can do a loop on immediate takeoff and just keep the stick back the whole time...
