it would be nice, but im not sure if he would go through the hassle esp if TW got snooty about that (even with intent to send them the money)

Forgot about that, yeah he'd have to work out some kinda plan or something, thanks.

He's getting it ready for the SF 3 announcement.................😆😀:yikes:

The truly sad thing is I think SF3 would be a day one buy for a lot of folks. Updated graphics, current generation avionics, keep the mod friendly design..........

I'm in.

SF2 hasnt been his favorite child for over a decade

and theres often enough blow back to the changes he made over the years at the time that they happened) that i can understand why he doesnt share

every update between the release of North Atlantic and his final patch in july 13 was met with probably more complaints than compliments

"the missiles are too strong" "the missiles are too weak" "the latest patch broke my mods" "why did you make this DLC, the one at CA is better" etc etc etc.

we (the modding community at large) have had SF2's back for the last 15 years

i totally understand but come on he can man-up and just say something, anything. he doesn't have to be radio silent. because SF2 isn't his favorite child , he does not need to punish the community.

i have over 188 gb of saved SF2 stuff including all my saved Thirdwire download .exe's. so barring a hard drive failure on the 6TB drive i'm golden for now. I just don't understand TK's mentality at all in regards to Ghosting everyone and his SF2 creation.

It's a long sordid story with him and the Strike Fighters series, I mean there's always some kind of drama going on honestly. And he just doesn't like to tell us.

Well I sure hope the website returns or they do end up on Steam because the external I had my installers on corrupted. Oof

the only reason WoE on the stream is that it's not published by TK, but from the original distrubution company. Odd that SF1 isn't there either

Update on the thirdwire.com site.

I did some digging on this and from what I can see from the outside looking in, this was likely unintentional.

The AWS 53 forwarding was removed or deleted from TK's Amazon AWS account, so the domain isn't rendering and it's getting stuck in an AWS server not found page.

I @TK_ThirdWire on X.com and we'll see if he responds. He likely doesn't even know the site is down if he's not checking it routinely. Either way we'll see what happens and update you as we know more.

I'm sure it's just a minor problem with the website as they have been updating "Strike Fighters Modern Combat" on the iphone for the Operation Allied Force 1999 pack; something I'd love to have for the PC version when the time comes.

Imagine if he releases SF3....but it is completely locked for messing around. Did anyone consider that? Maybe we do not want SF3 at all.

You think so? I wouldn't hold my breath. 😂

But that would be a killer 🤨

Yeah that's how games survive these days, Arma 3 came out thirteen years ago, and while A4 is around the corner next year, it's still encouraging people to make content.
