I always wondered why the ramp and hangers at my squadrons place at North Island looked like it was built for seaplanes.

Yah the A-1E airframe but the USN and USMC flew it with 1 Pilot and 2 enlisted Naval Aircrewmen. I'm sure there is some other wicked data mods too that a gull grey or midnight blue paint won't make it as complete as this gruppe can.

The US Air Force would patrol these on station feet wet over the Tonkin Gulf escorted by SPADS,US Navy Skyaiders.

interesting ... the ADs have the APS-31 radar, but not the searchlight pod. Looks like the left/right gear doors have been removed, too.

 

One could easily convert/mod Razbams E into the -5. Of course, new templates would be needed....

 

I'd love an Altabross ... we coud redo "Flight From Ashiya" (and it'd fit nicely in the KAW mod, too). I have a thing for flying boats/amphibs.

 

Capun's got the WV-2/EC-121 as well.

Probably a ridiculous legal matter anyway , but would it solve the problem if the plane would be called FIAT F104 or Fokker or Sabca or one of the German companies that build the F 104 so that them Lockheed idiots and/or their lawyers could start doing something usefull ?

LOL..at the very least, the Mirage Factory MiG-29A is superior in every way to any of the TW-suppplied aircraft. Higher poly model, better cockpit, etc.

I disagree. I like the look of the TW (Series 2) cockpits better. Maybe it's just my preference.

I am satisfied enough with the stock SF2 F-4 pits that I haven't even bothered trying to retrofit any photoreal textures to them. The only missing detail that is bothering me is the McDonnell nameplate that should be on the lower right and that is such a low priority to me that I haven't taken the 2 minutes it would take to resize it and paste it into the stock texture.
