Nesher Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 (Remember) last week was Holocaust day.. today is the Memorial day, the sirens screeched across Israel at 8:00 p.m. for a mintue of silence to honor 24293 lifes of Men and Women lost since 1863! tomorrow morning they will be heard again as families goes to visit their loved ones in military cemeteries... it is a sad night but we have to remember!! cause tomorrow we will celebrate our 61st Independence Day a day of joy and happines... its weird for me, today marks my 1st year in permanent service and total of 4 years in the army!

Jug Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 <S> I remember Joseph and Batia Eyal, Military Attache to Brazil, 1985-1989, as good friends and bad enemies. Speaks pretty much for the Israeli nation. RIP fellow warriors.
