F-15E down

Recommended Posts

The crew of an F-15E Strike Eagle went down this morning in Afghanistan.

Pray for the families of both and for the squadron mates they left behind who are still out there doing the job.

:salute::salute::salute:

May they rest in peace...

I hope this was not a combat-related loss.

It said Eastern Afghanistan, so they could have been doing a drop and messed up horribly or something other than that. Really hard to figure out since that's the first crash I know of in that area (my old stomping grounds).

Stig they were in a combat zone, so it will go on recored as such probably.

I heard it was a mechanical fault, but I suppose that wasn't an official report?
