If TK code the AG radar like the A2A radar, that'll be perfect. His sims are very disabled friendly and I hope that he'll make future sims like that. As for poor sales, IMHO its combo of lack of knowledge of these sims and enigma of "sim lite" (IMHO SF series is not sim lite except for the command structure)

Just wish we can donate $ to TK for advertising his sims.

I was thinking about the Tomcat game the other day, and I'm convinced the key to the setting lies in two less well known operators of a certain aircraft that's been recently seen in screenshots...

what plane did he talk about?

Exactly! It's only sim lite in terms of switchology. In flight model, weapons systems performance, avionics performance, SF2 is as detailed as LOMAC or F4AF. Probably more so, I doubt either of those models specific frequencies for radars and RWR, or jamming. SF2 does! it's just easier to use

Damage model is kinda screwey IMHO and stock FMs are lightened unneccessarily, but still excellent.

Before XP3 The Man says we're going to Iceland

The only flyable will be F-14' date=' unless you merge with previous titles. And the only landmass on the map will be Iceland, and the campaign will center around capture and re-capture of Iceland.[/quote']

Who's up for making a "bomb Bjork's house" mission?

We can have waves of Russian bombers trying to destroy it and only the F-14 Tomcat can stop them! Well, if you want to. You could just let them.

Sign me up, JM. :clapping: My ex-wife forced me to listen to that wailing psycho for four years

I'd love this mission, but I'll fly it by the Soviet side. Of course it will be a nuclear attack!

Maybe there's still time to ask TK at least for a target area.

Seriously, how hard could that possibly be?

You let me at the map 5 minutes after release, and you'll have it

bye bye Bjork!

That was Sinéad O'Connor.

Another f**king nutjob. I'm ashamed to admit she's Irish as well.

Only problem there is TK would have to knock up an Ireland map for that bombing mission

I admit Sinead O'Connor's singing voice isn't too bad.

Bjork was only big in the US in the 90s during the alternative music period, so I guess predates eraser's time (damn I feel old). Human Behavior and Big Time Sensuality were pretty big here, and in Tank Girl she contributed the Army of Me track.

I miss alternative, it was an era when there was genuinely inventive stuff getting radio time. None of this over-engineered crap you get today or had from the hair bands in the 80s.

Groups like Primus with their classics My Name is Mud and Wynona's Big Brown Beaver, who today is probably only really remembered as the group that wrote the South Park theme. At least that still gets broadcast weekly!

I very much like certain tracks from Bjork and Sinead from the late 80's to mid 90's. A couple of them are on the mp3 player I listen to in my car. I haven't heard later music from either of them, so I don't know if the songs I like were flukes. I was introduced to Bjork by a friend in the Navy who loved the Sugar Cubes. A Navy friend also introduced me to the Red Hot Chili Peppers before they became an MTV hit. Most of the music I listen to not only sounds good to me, but takes me back to specific places and times. Sometimes I forget where I am at while driving as memories are rushing by.

If I ignored any of my music because of the personal beliefs, actions, sexual orientation, etc. of the artists that wrote/recorded it, my collection would be much smaller, possibly even non-existant. I could care less whether Sinead tore a photo of the Pope or shaved her head. For me SF is both a game and a chance to relive history. I can't see myself using it as a therapy to attack those who truly irritate me. If I were to ever add a famous person and/or their home as a target, it would be one historically related to the game. Jane Fonda in Hanoi comes to mind. I could see myself in an F-105G suppressing anti-aircraft guns only to discover using a view key that the one I am hitting is crewed by Hanoi Jane :)
