been toying with a revisit to this bird myself (ANG of course). along with 789 other projects 

lemme know how deep down the rabbit hole your going with this. whether its a peek in from outside or running with a watch screaming "im late"

I'm just doing 2 skins, the 516th and 524th. Using the fuselage bands Eole kindly provided on the template. Serial numbers, unfortunately, will be generic (as in "these were used by the VNAF, but unable to find which squadron). They'll be 24 of them. 

Not changing anything else, and it really don't seem to need anything else!

i wasnt quite as research heavy when i did the ANG skins and the serials are also very generic

as for VNAF, joe baugher should tell ya what serials went there. but given how VNAF Herks went, there wont be much matchin beyond that. and those only had 22 serials to consider (iirc, 3 were not strictcly matched). will look up the site this weekend that i got the Herk serials from.

well, it was Grafenwhoer for me. but we were too far out in the boonies to make that practical...

meanwhile,  the old steam engines managed to make it all the way to AMC Gray before retiring. well, 3 or 4 anyhow

In for a major overhaul -- the 3W Bird Dog. Everything is being rebuilt, updated, upgraded and what can't be, "is covered by a new coat of paint"

YAP RW's A-1E

got the pylons all straightened out, adjusted weapon positions, attached lights to wings, etc. There are/were a LOT of mistakes in the data ini, especially when mesh names are needed.

(also noticed they cheated, and re-used the A-26 cockpit for this one! Which, when you think about it, was pretty damn clever!)
